They sliced my toe open and didn’t even say anything. She was so aggressive with the pedicure that it hurt more than it was enjoyable. I sat under the dryer for half hour without being checked. When I finally said “I have to go..” she came over to get paid. My nail polish chipped off before a week had passed. I had heard such good things about this place but, I was very let down. The place itself is in pretty good condition given the location, but the services are poor. I had the uv acrylic nails done and the lady didn't listen to anything I had to stay. I told her I wanted them thin and square and she left them so think, super long and almost round. She made my one finger bleed by filing against my skin so vigorously. She didn't take her time at all and filed my nails uneven as well. They barely greet you when you come in, and they don't talk to you while they are doing your nails. The lady beside me looked like she was going a better job than the lady I got, but that's how it is at this place. Sometimes the outcome is good. I would not recommend this place. I've been here a few times because it's close to me but I am never satisfied and always feel like I wasted money. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I live in Scarborough, and while visiting Hamilton this week I knew I wouldn't last without a fill + pedi. First of all. I called first thing in the morning to book because I couldn't take any chances. Very polite. I was able to book right away. I got there started with my pedi. PHENOMENAL. She took her time and was patient n gentle.(I'm ticklish) white on my toes. I felt like I had new feet. Lol. Proceeded to my fill. Mind you I have long nails so I'm never an easy client. But again she was patient (I wish I could remember her name , she works at the 2nd chair mature lady) and knew what she was doing. I had 2 broken nails she fixed them and got my shape spot on! Last but not least I mentioned my eyebrows n being skeptical of doin them there for the first time. She reassured me that she could do them cas I don't need much work just a clean up. First time here. I originally bought a Groupon special they were having for a cookie dough pedicure. By far that was the best I have ever had!!! I ended up adding a gel manicure. I was amazed at the fact there wasn’t any drying time or worry I’m going to smudge or ruin my nails before I even leave. I have found my forever nail tech!!! Ladies are very nice and friendly!! This is the best nail salon I e ever been to and I'm a regular at getting my nails done every few weeks getting them filled so I have been to ALOT of nail places and never stuck to one place Cuz I just was never satisfied until now! I have been coming only to this place for the last 6 months and will continue to only come to this place!! Rude older woman working there and they talk in their own language while working on pedicures makes u feel uncomfortable. I had the older woman do my pedicure and my 11 yr old daughter had a young lady work on her pedicure, she made my daughter's toes bleed and never acknowledged that(we have been to other nail salons and Never have they made my daughter's nails bleed) my daughter was worried and showed me her toes, I mentioned that my daughter's toes were bleeding and the one doing her nails looks at me and doesn't seem to understand what I'm saying and doesn't speak any English. They then start talking in their language. Then the older lady asks me if I want a design on my toe, I said okay She then proceeds to get a dollar store acrylic paint bottle to "make a design"..not a polish like other salons use but a dollar store paint! I was distressed to hear about the poor customer service experience my Dad had at Beautiful Nails. He spoke with someone on the phone and arranged to come in at 10:00 for a pedicure. He took the bus out there, arrived on time and was seated in the waiting area with his book. He waited. Fifteen minutes later two women came in and were brought through. People would walk by him but no one bothered to acknowledge him or explain the delay. My father is in his 80's and as this was his first professional pedicure, he was definitely not in his comfort zone. After 35 minutes of being ignored he was very upset and walked round the back, told them if this was the way they treated their customers he couldn't imagine why they had any and left. Shame on them. Awesome! I have been with Helena for about 6 years and she is the BEST! Gel manicures and regular pedicures are perfect! I am a Barefoot Massage Therapist and I need my feet to be soft, clean and looking 😊! Both last a few weeks and sometimes a month.
