For about a year this was my go-to nail salon, they always did a really wonderful job, and were quick to take me when I walked in. I even booked them last August for my wedding and made appointments for my mom and both my sisters and they were great! However, the last time I went in, I brought my sister with me. I was getting a shellac manicure and she wanted a set of acrylics. We found out the hard way that not every girl in the salon does acrylic. I was seated and got my manicure no issues. I was done and my sister had still not been taken to have hers done. When she was looking at the polishes on the wall for her colour, they snuck in another walk in to have her acrylics filled. And a mother and daughter had been seated saying they had appointments. They do a good job nail wise, but their service kind of blew that day and it quite upset me. The girls are very nice and have lots of experience here, this is my second year of university here and I’m really happy that I found this place it’s so much better than the one in my home, Toronto. I have seen people that go there and try to complain for free stuff I feel so bad for the girls because they’re working very hard. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I love coming to this nail salon. Even if I have to wait because they’re a little busy it is always worth it. The staff are super friendly, and love to chat and get to know their clients. I know so many people who love this nail salon. At my work, everyone always compliments me on my nails because they do such a great job and really listen to what their clients want. My friend had referred me to Victoria's nails, specifically to see Victoria in the summer of 2016 and I have not been anywhere else since. Let me just start by saying I am VERY picky when it comes to my nails and I am I regular who gets gel every three weeks. Victoria is AWESOME and does not settle for anything less than perfection. Her salon is very clean and all of her girls work VERY hard. I would recommend making an appointment because of how busy they can be at times due to the high volume of happy, pleased customers that they have returning on a regular basis. I really wanted to like this place!The prices are great, I usually get my nails done in Toronto but was looking for a place in Guelph to go to regularly. I did not realize how many reviews are not recommended, and perhaps I should have read those first. I got a shellac manicure and it must have been the worst and most rushed manicure I've ever gotten. The lady who did my nails didn't have a name tag, but it was like she was in a competition with all the other workers to see how many people she could get through. I asked for my nails to be filed only and not cut, yet she made the executive decision to cut my nails VERY short. As well, the colour I picked was out so she made another decision to pick the 'closest' colour, which was not close at all to what I wanted. The job was very messy. I still have nail shavings on my arms and clear shellac polish on my fingers and in between my nails. There was NO care in this job and I tipped accordingly to how poorly the job was done. She only put two layers on my nails, so I highly doubt the job will last. She was very rude and said, "you're done", practically shooing me out of my seat and urging me to pay and leave. Of course, there is variability with whoever you get, but this kind of attitude should not be accepted as it will most likely have me not returning again. I would rather pay more and get a proper job done elsewhere. This lady was obviously all about how much money she could make and speed was how she did that. She didn't properly push back or clean my cuticles or file my nails, I would say all those jobs took her around a minute. I feel as if I was in and out within 10 minutes, and I already had preexisting shellac polish, which usually takes 10 minutes alone to remove. If the job was done quickly but PROPERLY, I would not complain. But this was been a truly terrible experience and I wish I never came here. Read Less

So disappointed with my last visit to Victoria's Nails! It is almost impossible to make an appointment and when you do, they typically do not honour the time booked. They try too hard to accommodate walk-ins and their business suffers because of this. The facility is clean, but too crowded! During my last visit, they rushed through my bio gel and it looks horrible. The esthetician was rough and not very friendly! They basically want to get you in-and-out as quick as possible. This is hands down the best nail salon in Guelph. I have been coming here for years. All they girls are very friendly professional and talanted. I usually have Cindy do my nails and I always have tons of complements after they are done. She is very current and up to dates with what styles are in. If you're going to go here, book an appointment with Maya. She did my nails perfectly and quickly. My friend had someone else who didn't listen to her wants and took a very long time. I heard other customers saying their fake nails on one hand were longer than on the other. For this reason Maya would be your best bet for a flawless manicure in only about half an hour. Read Less

I have never had fake nails before and went to Victorias before my engagement photos to get biogels done. They were $40 for a full, new set and the girl was very professional and quick. She rounded them out nicely as per my request. The owner was at the shop when I was there and was very involved in making sure that customers were satisfied and that the employees were working well. I watched him clean out every pedicure tub once they were done being used. Whenever someone walked into the store, it was less than a minute every time before someone asked "how can I help you?". The staff were relatively kind and my experience was fine for the most part. One little thing my toes never dried and it was Prom night! I had an AM appointment and I thought it would be okay to slip into my peep toed shoes for Prom but they rushed the experience and so my big toe didn't dry. I usually go to the nail salon expecting it will last for at least a week and it didn't even make it through the day!
