Walked in and they were very busy. Unlike other places I've been, they told me they'd do a pedicure if I didn't mind waiting. The wait was reasonable and they checked in on me and put me in a chair to soak as soon as one was available. Based on the fact they were busy and I walked in without an appointment, I was only going to get a pedi but they asked me if i wanted anything else. I would not recommend anyone who is black to go there they a very rude to people of color I went there a few times and thought maybe because they didn't know me they were treating this way but every time I went back it was the same thing. They would say Hi to their white client's but not me. They seemed annoyed if I requested something. There are some staff tgat are friendly but owner isn't as friendly only to her white client's. This is the ONLY place to have your nails done!!!!!! The girls take their time and do NOT look at the clock. You are given REAL PERSONALIZED service. They do the BEST JOB IN TOWN !!!! I had a poor experience at Happy Nails. I had booked an appointment, but the technicians kept calling drop ins from the seats before me. When I politely reminded a technician I was there for an appointment that was scheduled for 15 minutes ago, she became very defensive and told me "Don't tell me how to do my job". Will not return. Have been going to HN for years, referred many people and taken many family members, spent lots of money over the years. Lately the service has gone down hill. As a consumer I thought it was best to always book an appointment but when I do, having to wait 30 minutes because they squeeze a "Walk In" before my appointment is frustrating. So I was visiting your small town for a couple of weeks at the end of August and before I left I got my nails done because I has a wedding as soon as I arrived back home in ottawa. The nails looked okay there were some bubbles and the shape wasn't great but I did pay for them because I was satisfied with them. My complaint is what the lady did to my real nails, after two weeks as usual they started to come loose so I went some here to have them removed. Myself and the lady who removed them who's been 15 years on the job could not believe the damage done, I have all kinds of indents in my nails, she buffed and filed them so thin that I won't be able to grow my nails back for a number of months, I have plenty of pictures that show all the damage. I waited to leave a review for some time be causing I was hoping it would grow put quickly but it's not at all, I have to wear polish always right now because they look botched. If my memory serves me, the lady's name was Chi. I'm not out to have anyone lose their job, I just simply want to make people and the business aware of this and hopefully prevent this from happening again. Read Less

Came here for a shellac removal and change. Application was quite sloppy and I already have peeling. There's shellac on my cuticles and I even got a manicure too. However, the price: $25 is pretty good. In Toronto you'll find a shellac removal and manicure shellac for $35-$40 bucks. Although I saved money, I'm not completey happy with my service. Read Less

I've tried a couple places that were not relaxing in the slightest and did sloppy nail work. This place is friendly, clean and the women do great work! It's busy enough that workers aren't standing around socializing and forgetting you're there, but not so busy that you feel neglected.
