Beautiful nails as usual. Straight, thin and uniform. I've been to all establishments in Bowmanville and Tammy at Galaxy has always made my nails perfect. Sometimes when people are in a rush they go elsewhere to get their nails done and I have made that mistake too many times. From now on I will wait for Tammy, she's totally worth it. I heard a couple of rumours last week about Galaxy and went in today with eyes wide open and did not see anything unsanitary or sketchy. Place was clean (like usual) buffers and files were brand new and sanding equipment and attachments were clean. My nails look amazing, cuticles are nice and cleaned up. Terrible. Several nails broke just days after having them done. I asked for bio gel and she used IBD and filed my finger so hard she broke skin. Will never go back. Service was terrible. There was a guy who just kept eating food out in the open and I doubt that it was sanitary. She kept telling me "nail break you come back and I fix". So she was expecting the nails to break. I do a better job myself and I have no where near the training she had. Would not recommend to anyone. Read Less

I would not recommend this place at all. I went there yesterday and had a horrible experience. First off i was there with my sister and 5 year old daughter and after being there for almost 3 hours they still didnt have time to do a proper manicure on me. No massage, no cream etc. The manager/owner is rude and constantly talks about her customers in her own language. I got shellac done and my nail polish on 2 of my nails are already peeling off??? I've never had this issue before with shellac at any other salon. The manager also tries to sell everyone shellac and says negative things about all the other salons in the area. I paid close to $200!!!! That was for me, my sister and 5 year old daughter who only got nail polish put on. Ridiculously expensive for horrible service. Save your time and disappointment and go somewhere its worth paying that much for. Oh Amber is nice..she should open her own salon and get out of that place. Read Less

Went in today for the first time and love this place ! Such a friendly environment and very clean. I was very pleased. I rarely ever get my nails done because when I do I am never happy with the results but Tammy did mine today and she is beyond amazing! I love my nails and her hard delicate job she did on them. I didn't enjoy my first experience. They took forever to acknowledge I was there. There were 3 or 4 ladies working and 3 of them had no idea what they're doing. The manager had to tell them which tools to use at which time. They piled on clear top coat and a less than a week later the clear polish turned brown and peeled off. Read Less
