I have been going to Andy and Nancy for many years. Even before they opened their own business. They run a very clean establishment. Sometimes I will bring pictures of what I want and they do a fantastic job. Sometimes I ask Nancy to be creative and she comes up with beautiful designs. Just went for my prom nails, i had given them a reference photo and my nails look nothing like what I had asked. In the reference photo there was a gem on the thumb that I had asked for that aswell but you can’t fully see it in the photo, they didn’t have any gem or anything like it but then the man looked to his colleague and said something which I didn’t understand and began to laugh as if he was making fun of me for asking for a gem on my thumb! Totally unprofessional. Even though he spoke a different language, it is easy to understand what he’s talking about and he was mocking me. The woman who worked on my toes wouldn’t stop talking about how I don’t look my age, she said that I look like I’m in grade 5 not grade 12. First of all she has no business in telling me that or being so rude as to mention that. You don’t say that to a person, you don’t say “wow you don’t look like what society wants you to look like”. Just went there today for the first time. I get a medi and pedi every month, so I know average prices. When I got in, I asked if it was $45 which is what most places charges, they said yes. After my nails were done getting filled and I was paying they told me it was $100. I asked b/c I would have went to another place further from my home if it wasn't $45. It was very upsetting to know this is how the business is operated. I will never go back there. Read Less

This salon is fantastic. Wonderful service, friendly, and a very professional finish to my nails. I was visiting the central coast from Sydney and was desperate for a pedi and mani. Very pleasantly surprised with the result and I only wish the salon was in Sydney. Used to be good, one of their original customers, referred many friends, gave gift certificates to friends, and always spent at least $75-90 when there now they don't care about customer service or their work. Multiple times passed before closing hours with their open sign on and the place closed, work does last - acrylic lift and shellac peeling way before time. Go to another place in Barrie. I got a full set less than 2 weeks ago. On day 3 one of them snapped half off then the then top part just peeled off. No pain. Then within the next 10 Days the 9 more have come off. Lifted, got water underneath them and the just peeled straight off. Not to mention I was charged $70 for a full set. “$5 extra for the shape, $5 extra for the top coat” I have never been charged to have my nails shaped a certain way. So disappointed. Where do I begin?! I feel like a pampered queen! They are so gentle with your nails and feet, and the finished product is always something from a 5 star spa but without the price! My first visit to Diamond Nails I had Chrome powder nails. Unfortunately after about 1 week it peeled off. I rang the salon and they told me to come back in. They applied the chrome powder again and only charged me $5.00 for fixing 1 broken nail, in my opinion Diamond Nails has exceptional customer service and attention to detail is second to none. Went in to get my acrylic nails filled in as it had been a few weeks. The customer service dropped when I said I wanted regular nail polish. The choices were limited. The individual doing my nails was rough and the skin around my nails were tender. I couldn't put my hands in hot water for a day. A child could have done a better job painting my nails. No bottom coat but the top coat was so thick that the polish was sliding down and I had bubbles ok my nails. To top it off it looks like only half my nails have been filled in. Very unhappy customer. I used to go here every 2 weeks to get my nails filled... I then moved away and was forced to switch salons. I was in the area visiting family and friends and had to get a fill so I thought I would go to them as I used to go all the time. They were completely different when I went in and rushed everything. I had acrylic nails on and needed a fill, one of my nails was lifting and needed to be replaced, instead of replacing it they glued it down and filled over it even though I had mentioned it needed to be replaced. 2 weeks after when I went to my regular place they had to take my nails off because it was turning green under where they had glued it down. when they glued it air/water was locked underneath and caused fungus. I am now unable to get nails for a long time as i lost half of my nail and is isn't really growing back. I was very disappointed and would not return! Read Less

Run by an amazing couple, their services are amazing. Andy does fantastic solar sets, followed by Nancys gorgeous designs. The entire shop is family run so everyone is incredibly sweet. They offer a variety of services at awesome pricing. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Read Less

I had a painful experience when my acrylics were removed because my skin had a reaction to the chemicals used. The most disappointing part for me was I was charged full price for the removal, then when it was discovered I was first given advice to put my hands in bleach (doctor advised later that this would've been disastrous) hen sold a lotion to address the problem (was also advised by doctor not to use). After two trips to the doctor and a course of antibiotics, i revisited the salon to make them aware of the issue - they were not sympathetic and did not offer to refund me for the lotion or the cost of removal. I did not expect much, but a sorry or acknowledgment of my painful experience would've gone a long way. I do not recommend this salon. Read Less
