I am writing in response to poor price advertising. I went in with my girlfriend looking for two pedicures because the sign out front said $25 each. We ended up only getting one pedicure because they wouldn’t honour the signage (that has apparently been inaccurate since January 2018) as the price of a pedicure inside is listed as $35 starting price. To knowingly advertise a price that is inaccurate outside the building and not honor the price advertised is not something that I believe to be legal. Extremely disappointed in the way the company runs their business

Their nail work was decent in the beginning, and then started to get sloppy especially with the pedicures after a couple months being opened.
I went a couple months ago for the last time where I was placed with a new lady. I then asked the woman doing my acrylics to give me shellac, she confirmed what I said, then gave me something different which cost more money. I was confused while she was doing it and raised the question to see if it was correct, which she ignored and continued to do. When she was done I had asked her to fix one of my nails as you could see my nail underneath the color through streaks. She then at the end told them I got something other than requested and that’s when I was notified that what I asked for wasn’t done, I literally responded with “oh okay that’s just not what I had asked for” and was going to pay. She then proceeded to YELL at me and embarrass me in front of customers saying I was no longer welcome back at her chair etc.
I consider myself to be an extremely kind and polite person and that sort of outburst was extremely uncalled for and ridiculous. Even if I had made a mistake of what I asked for. When I called later and talked to the manager he asked me to come in so he could fix my nail, to which I did, and when I did he essentially blamed me for the situation saying he talked to her and that I apparently asked for what she gave me. Again, blaming the customer.
Horrible customer service and I won’t be going back, neither do my friends. There’s way too many good salons in Barrie to go back to this one with poor quality service.

My first experience wasnt the best at galaxy. My nails look fabulous but there is glue and polish all over my hands. There is some sort of sliver in my foot from the pedicure. I did call the salon and Chelsea handled the situation very professionally. I will be visiting the salon on Monday to get some touch ups done. I hope this changes my overall rating. I would suggest this salon to someone looking for beautiful nails just make sure to tell them if there's a problem

Visited the wellington location last night with a friend. Had a polish change and fill on my hands. I have been doing my nails every month for the last 4 years and never had a technician like this. The staff overall was very nice and friendly. However the lady I had was miserable, she was very rude, wasn't happy at all and seem to just hate her life. I went to this place having high expectations because of all the good reviews but honestly this one person made it an experience that I will never forget. During my fill she sanded and sanded.. and sanded down my nails so much I thought I was going to have nothing left.. then when she painted my nails she got more on my hands and fingers than she did on the nail itself... very unprofessional and not happy with how much i had to pay to get my "hands" painted.
I wont be back again. If you are in the service industry- a smile goes a long way... hopefully they recognize this

Went in for a shellac mani pedi on Saturday and chose to have my hands done in chrome, a day later the chrome was chipping off so I called the salon stating how disappointed I was. They scheduled a fix for me the following Wednesday and fixed it up no problem, even allowed me to change the color of chrome with no extra charge. Excellent customer service. Will definitely be back, and telling people about my positive experience.

I don't usually do manicures but my mom wanted to go with me to so I went for a French manicure. I have pretty nice long natural nails that usually look almost like a French manicure. The stylist asked if she could trim up my nails a bit and the next thing I knew she had cut the nail down so it was below the tip of my finger. She did this with all the nails and then filed them even shorter. My fingers are actually sore today from how short she cut them. Not sure why anyone would ruin someone's natural nails!?! Would not return to this place.

I booked an appointment for myself and one other to have manicures and pedicures done yesterday at 2:30pm. When I arrived I was told that whoever booked my appointment hadn't put it in the system and they were too busy to accommodate me. As someone who works in the customer service industry, I am appalled at how I was treated at this location. I was told that I couldn't even reschedule for that day and would have to move my appointment to another day because of an error on their part. I did express that I didn't have another day to come because I am leaving on vacation early Tuesday morning. The answer I received from the young lady at the front desk was that she was new and in training so she couldn't help me and the manager was busy. I wasn't offered an apology or any sort of concern whatsoever. I have been getting my shellac manicures and pedicures here for a number of years and will never return. I have been and will continue to share my experience with everyone I know. Word of mouth can be detrimental to a business and it's a shame that Galaxy Nails on Wellington doesn't care to keep their customers happy.

I have been going to this location for over a year. Have dealt with a few technicians. Joe was great. Very detailed and takes his time. Then I ended up switching to Mary who is amazing also. Very creative and always does a good job. The atmosphere is great. Very pretty and large. Prices are a bit high but I love Mary and the environment so I don’t care.

I went to Galaxy Nails a few weeks ago for my first time and all was good...so I thought. I didn't want to continue getting them done as i only wanted tips for vacation so I went to another salon to have them removed. I was told at Galaxy that what I had on were solar but when the other salon was trying to remove them it was nearly impossible. It was like they had put cement on my nails. I was at the salon for 3 hours and still the lady was not able to remove it all. I was told it was most likely a knock of solar and probably purchased in China or Korea and they had never seen this before. I am honestly beyond irritated. My nails are destroyed after only having them on for a month. I will never recommend Galaxy and I suggest you stay far away if you want to keep your nails.

Have been going to Galaxy Nail Salons in Barrie area for over 2 years now. I have, at all times received exemplary care. They are attentive, professional and polite. I have never had a problem with my nails whatsoever. I have recommended them several times to friends. I truly believe that if you feel something this not going right, speak up immediately. They are always there to please the customer.

I got acrylic nails with shellac and the lady who was doing my nails was in such a rush to finish them she cut me not once but FOUR TIMES on one hand. After I told her it really hurt she continued to buff out my cuticles. I can't even take a photo of my nails cause there's cuts all around them and on top of that they charged me an extra 5$ for the shape of my nails when I asked for the standard shape.

I would say this nail salon is one of the most accommodating in Barrie, I have never made an appointment and have been seen many times in a very timely manner. They've got a huge variety of services and colours of polish which is great! Only negative thing I will say is not all nail techs are trained equally so it can be hit and miss on how great your nails turn out depending on who you see, and because it is usually so busy you don't always have a choice unless you've scheduled with someone specific. However, Bryce always makes sure to ask how everything went at the end of your visit and will get you right back in the chair to have anything fixed if you're not satisfied.

I use to go to galaxy nails years ago and stopped going because one too many times of horrible quality work. Recently I went with my 2 friends. The pedicure was nice, but they over charged us. Then the shellac manicure I got, has already started to peel, but 2 nails broke off 2 days later. Same thing happened to my friend. I went to Jess's nails previously with my mom, and they have far better services, the prices are way more reasonable, they never up charge you (which galaxy always does), not as busy (so you get to relax) and my manicure lasted 3 weeks. With no breakage or peeling. So if you're looking for a trustworthy place, that is actually relaxing, choose anywhere else 😊

I am writing in response to poor price advertising. I went in with my girlfriend looking for two pedicures because the sign out front said $25 each. The stylist asked if she could trim up my nails a bit and the next thing I knew she had cut the nail down so it was below the tip of my finger. I have been going to this location for over a year. Have dealt with a few technicians. Joe was great. Very detailed and takes his time. Then I ended up switching to Mary who is amazing also. Very creative and always does a good job. The atmosphere is great. Very pretty and large. Prices are a bit high but I love Mary and the environment so I don’t care.

I didn't want to continue getting them done as i only wanted tips for vacation so I went to another salon to have them removed. Have been going to Galaxy Nail Salons in Barrie area for over 2 years now. I have, at all times received exemplary care. They are attentive, professional and polite. I would say this nail salon is one of the most accommodating in Barrie, I have never made an appointment and have been seen many times in a very timely manner. They've got a huge variety of services and colours of polish which is great! Only negative thing I will say is not all nail techs are trained equally so it can be hit and miss on how great your nails turn out depending on who you see, and because it is usually so busy you don't always have a choice unless you've scheduled with someone specific. However, Bryce always makes sure to ask how everything went at the end of your visit and will get you right back in the chair to have anything fixed if you're not satisfied.
