I am very surprised about the negative reviews. Naomi and the rest of the team warmly greeted me and were able to fit me in before my scheduled appointment (as I arrived early). They were both fast and precise with my gel fill and were very hospitable during my time in the salon (which is stunning and very well kept). Nail technician caused an ingrown toe nail as well as swelling which is still causing me pain. Was getting a pedicure done nail technician cut my toe and didn’t even acknowledge what she had done. Had acrylic nails done with shellac nail polish. The polish chipped off within a week as well as the acrylic chipped. Worst nail salon in Barrie spent $70 on garbage. Don’t waste your money tons of other great nail salons in Barrie with nail technicians that know what there doing as well as use top quality products. DO NOT WASTE TIME AND MONEY. Worst nails I've ever had, they were pushy and rude... and want to get you in and out as fast as possible! I got my nails done for a wedding and they started to peel less then 24 hours after getting them done with shellac. Also I was slightly annoyed with the fact they charged me an extra $10 for a coat of sparkles.. I'll be going to real salons from now on thank you! Read Less

I was highly dissapointed in my experience here yesterday. I had prebooked 2 pedicures for 2:30PM as booking appointments is important because I need someone to babysit my son while I go.When we got there the lady acknowledged us and told us to pick a colour and sit in the waiting chair. 2:40 rolls around and no one has said another word to us or even looked our way, I wait until 2:45 and I go up to a lady and say that we are on a time restriction how much longer will we have to wait and she told us okay take a seat in the pedicure chairs. Once we were seated here we looked around and noticed all the clients they were working on were only in the beginning stages of their services and that it looked highly unlikely that 2 people would become available anytime soon (not to mention how low staffed they were for a Friday). When 2:53 rolled around and no one had said anything to us at this point I told my mom we can not wait any longer. I walked over to a lady that worked there and told her how dissapointed we were in the lack of service and that unfortunately we can not wait anylonger to start, she just looked at us and said ohhhh. So we got no explanation or apology as to why they had not stuck to our appointment time at any time being there. I would not recommend going here at all. Read Less

I personally did NOT like it there. When myself, my mom and my friend all walked in all you could smell was the chemical used for the nails, i personally did not like that because when i went to another spa i thought it was awesome. I got a manicure and the lady doing them forgot to put shellac on 2 of my finger nails. But i liked how we booked it that morning and got in 2 hours later and it took about 30 minutes for them to do our nails. I did not like how small it was i felt like the lady sitting right next to me was right on top of me, i wish the tables were a little bit feather away form each other. I payed about $40 just for my fingernails and shellac which i thought was good but after a few days they started to chip and peel off but they stayed on for a very long time which i did not like. Not worth giving even 1 star . DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I'm a real relaxed type of girl. My daughter and I went here today. Ok here I go,,,,, we wanted a regular set of acrylic nails 25$ and shallac extra 15$ Jimmy quoted this price to me. I had to ask him again if I heard right that shellac is $15 and he confirmed it. Shocked at the price as elite nail's and every other nail salon charges 8-10$. But since we didn't want to wait hh for our nails to dry, we did it anyways. I can add it's 40$ each total plus tax, would come to $90.40 altogether for me and my daughter. They told me that it was $113.00 , i gave $120.00 as I had to pay cash because they have no debit. ATM IS in the store. I didn't wait for my change when I clearly said why is it 56$ instead of 42$ like Jimmy said to me. Is this how you work it, make up prices??????I was charged 23.60 more for nothing. Boiling mad I was. I haven't been this mad in years on top of years. My cuticles were nicked to pieces from the drill and nail file that hadn't been scored. The nails are thick and not shaped proper at all. He also didn't listen to me in how I wanted the shellac put on. He just said I know ,I know . Painted them his way he does a half fast job.l let him know how I felt all the way through, instead he would laugh and say pain is gain. Cutting my cuticles to bites isn't funny 😞. My daughter and I went here Friday June 16th for a mommy daughter day. I got a pedicure and she got a mani pedi. My daughters nail polish started to chip the next day and mine started to chip only 4 days after. Not only is the paint chipping but the soles of my feet are rough. I have never had a pedicure that only lasted 4 days. Not sure I'll go back which is too bad as I have moved to this side of town. Read Less

Walk in nail appointment - I had never been here before but I had read mostly good reviews and thought I'd try it out. The place I had been to before did a terrible job and left my nails totally ragged and damaged, so I hoped that Galaxy could do better. My technician Mary did an AMAZING job. She was so careful with my damaged nails and the acrylic she applied looked so natural in the end. They look wonderful and I'm so happy. The establishment is clean and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. I was so impressed with the quality of my treatment and will absolutely be coming back! Read Less
