I went to Nail Pro on the recommendation of a friend that hadn't been there in many months. I made an appointment two days in advance and the gentleman who booked it was very nice and helpful. I arrived on time for my appointment and was greeted harshly to select my colour and sit down. This was the beginning of the most rushed, sloppy nail experience I have ever had. It took the tech in total 59 minutes to complete a full pedicure, removal of shellac polish and reapplication. I have been getting my nails done for over 5 years and this on average takes at least 90 minutes. During the pedicure I had to ask to have the dead skin removed off my heels and even questioned twice why she was going so fast. The reason was because she was off at 6 and wanted to get out of there. So she rushed through my services, gave me below average results and yet still charged my full price. So for $70 I received an below average pedicure where the polish chipped after 6 days, my heels are still rough and the polish does not cover my big toes. My manicure she did not remove my cuticles, my nails were all different lengths and applied my shellac so far from the cuticle that I had to have my colour redone 10 days after this appointment because it was too far grown out. I usually get them done every 2 - 3 weeks. I am still kicking myself for not speaking up during the appointment. I am beyond disappointed as the salon itself seems beautiful and I saw other clients getting services without being rushed and what looked like good quality work. For that kind of money I would have hoped to at least get a good quality pedicure. ** Edited to respond to the owner** I paid $67.50 with tax for pedicure and shellac manicure. I am happy to post a copy of my receipt. My appointment was at 5pm and the technician informed me (on MANY) occasions that I was her last client and leaving at 6. She was also very disappointed when she was finished with me and was allocated another client (who was also rushed through might I add). Love the place! The staff here was very welcoming and courteous. Really like their attitude here as well. This is my first time going to a nail salon here in this town. Back home, I have been to a couple and if I were to compare them to here, I'd say this one is great! They did an amazing job with my nails. Shellac manicure that I had here totally fits my nails. I have been coming here for a couple months and I am so happy I found this place. The customer service is amazing, the staff makes sure you are happy and satisfied! I get my nails done every 2 weeks by Mary and she is absolutely amazing, not only does she do a amazing job but she is so nice and fun to talk to I look forward to coming and seeing her. I went yesterday with one of my friends. I was getting just a shellac and manicure and my friend was getting a gel fill and shellac. When she did my manicure, she cut my cuticles so short that theyre bleeding. And when I went to pay, my total (without tip) was $45. My friend who got the gel only paid $50. I couldn't believe how expensive it was. The two normal places I go charge $25 for a manicure and shellac. Thats almost double the price. I was really unimpressed. Read Less

I've been coming to this salon for many years. However, lately nails falling off and discoulor after 2 days. I've spent over $160 for 2 months and my new set fell off again. I think it's time to look for new place. I love the girls here very clean . Read Less

Can't say I'm highly impressed with this place. I agree with the many other reviews. They always find ways to nickel and dime you but adding extra for designs, length, or additional colour. I've been doing my nails for over 10 years and Ajax is one of those places where the tech are mediocre and expect high pay. I've done my nails in places in Toronto that do way more work and have great skill that charge me the same price and overall do a better job. I went in for a acrylic fill, I had lifting nail and the girl barely sanded down the nail before she applied the powder. She also didn't cut out the part that was lifting before applying the fill so of course after 5 days it lifted. I mentioned this during my fill and was told they don't cut the lifting part they only replace the nail and charge to replace it because it takes more time to fix it. This nail replacement is charged on top of the refill price, which is a scam defeats the purpose of a fill. so needless to say she glued it down and proceeded with the powder. I shouldn't have stayed because I voiced my concern and she didn't listen. On top of it all, I brought my own polish. Overall, not worth going there. Based on customer service and price there are other places you can go in Scarborough pay less and get the same botched up nail job or just go to another nail salon in Ajax but read reviews ajax has a bunch of bad nail techs. I did a walk in last week and I received shellac nails in a cranberry colour. The job was so terrible, there was no paint on the sides of some of my nails and two of my nails were peeling the next day (I think they weren't filed down to get enough traction). I ended up removing them on the weekend. This was very disappointing and I do not feel I got my moneys worth. I did hear back from a staff member when writing, just stating that if the colour was still on they would repai...r the nails free of charge. I had taken the rest of the colour off, because I didn't want to walk around with mismatched nails. Also, who has the time to go back and get the work fixed. Of course it should be free. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I work at McDonald's and my shellac never lasts but one girl Cindy has become my regular. She puts an extra coating on to help last, and recently has started changing the brand of polish to see if certain ones last longer for me. She goes out of the way for me and speaks perfect English lol. Be prepared to spend a little more for a better result. Just wish there was a guarantee for how long it lasts. I am just appalled by some of the reviews. I would love to know what other salons these women have been to. This is by fair the most clean, organized and well run salon out there and I've been to hundreds. I never feel rushed but the girls are quick and efficient. I got my nails done at this nail salon yesterday. Please DO NOT go to this salon! The people working here are NOT nail pros (as they say in their name)! I had an extremely unpleasent experience. First of all, the people working here do not know anything about customer service and did a TERRIBLE job with my acrylic nails. I don't know how they are still in business. After getting my nails done at this salon, I had to go to another salon and get the nails removed and had to pay for a whole new nail job somewhere else. From my experience, acrylic nails usually take aprrox. 35-40 minutes to do. This salon did a rushed job on my nails and finished within 20minutes. When I told the woman I didnt want my nails to be too long, her response was:  "its too late". She continued to do do my nails without considering my needs as a customer. I was shocked. Then she left me at the drying station, packed her bag and left the store! No one came to me to tell me I was all done, no one asked if I was satisfied with the service. What a joke! The whole salon was empty....I wonder why.I talked to the owner, the asian man who works at the front desk when I went to pay and showed him my nail job. I had skin hanging off my fingers, extra acrylic spilling over, empty gaps near my cuticles, under my nails and BUBBLES forming inside the acrylic. His reaction was unprofessional. He scoffed at me and said that the nails are supposed to take 20min and it was a good job! He said that taking off the skin (that was hanging from all my nails was an extra 10$ and offered to cut them off himself! Of course I said no! I am very disappointed with this salon and will never return again. Today the acrylic started to peel off near the cuticle...after only ONE DAY. I would not reccomend this place to anyone! They are basically stealing peoples money and passing themselves off as a professional nail salon which they have no business doing. I have lost all respect for the owner and this place. Long story short I got a $60 gift certificate from my boyfriend for Christmas for this nail place. A nail salon I always go to. How exciting! Not having to pay anything because I got a gift certificate!!.... Ya right apparently it doesn't work that way? So I made sure I asked if I could just use some of the gift card because I just wanted my nails done, yup no problem. Get them done, go to pay.. "That will be $38 please" p...erfect! I will have $22 left on my certificate to come back! Hahaha NOPE! Apparently I have to get taxed on it? Leaving me with $17.06.... What?? It's a gift certificate! How can you tax someone on it! It's cash!! But nope the owner had nothing to say. Next, my mom goes in with a $30 gift certificate, perfect right? Thought about Just getting a pedicure but was convinced to get her nails done too... Might as well right? Total comes to $68! Ok so she owes them $38 cash.. NOPE! Has to pay tax on the gift card and instead her total changes to $71.... WTF. BRUTAL! So basically this owner LOVES to rip people off, apparently if you want a gift certificate to this place DONT DO IT, ask the person to give you cash? Or better yet, go to a place that will respect their customers and make them want to go back, cuz I sure as hell don't want to go back to spend my $17.06 and get taxed a second time. This salon is good, but pricey for the area (comparably speaking) and they're always busy... that's a good thing for them, but when they advertise that they accept walk-ins, then tell you to come back in 4 hours, that doesn't work for me. Perhaps they need more staff to help accomodate for the business they're getting? I went on a Wednesday afternoon, thinking it would be a quiet time, hoping to get shellac nails done before I left for a trip... I was told they were too busy and to come back in four hours. I went across the street to Top Nails, had my nails done on the spot with no wait, and for cheaper (and it was a FANTASTIC job). Since I can  never get into NailPro when I need to, I've stopped even trying. They should be more clear that due to how busy they are, you have to have an appointment. Read Less
