I have been going to headshoppes for 13 years to get my hair done and have never been treated like i was at the hs in sackville. I asked to asked to have the roots touched up on my blonde highlights. After 4 hours i left with 1 inch orange chuck on the front of my head and hair darker than i started with. Rather than lifting the color they tried to tone out the orange. When i called to tell them how unhappy i was i was told to come back and they would fix it. I went back all they did was add a few foils on the side to break up the orange and then they tone it. i still have orange hair and darker hair than i started with. They did not fix it and they would not refund my money. The headshoppe has lost a loyal customer. Read Less

My experience was a nightmare. 8 days before my wedding I asked to have the red removed from my hair and my hair turned to a nice solid light brown. Close to my natural colour. So after a 4 hour process i come out with brassy orange yellow streaks not at all a beautiful brown colour. The hairdresser had said sh** after taking out my foils (I ignored this comment not certain she was referring to my hair) she dried my hair and said she wanted to dry it to see if I would like it... I knew I would not as my wet hair had bright yellow streaks through it even wet it was noticeable. The hairdresser told me she would fix it tomorrow if I came back for more toner I agreed this would be a good solution. As we went to the cash and the lady waiting there rang me up for $203 I stated that I would like to wait and pay them tomorrow when my hair is fixed as why would I pay for hair that was uneven orange and yellow and not even close to what I was looking for. The woman stated that that was not an option and it "did not work like that" I asked why; if someone were serving you food that was not what you asked for you would not pay why was this any different. I reminded the woman that my wedding was in 8 days and this is not what I had been looking for but I would pay after it was fixed tomorrow. The woman then stated that it was my fault on a day that is "so important" maybe I should not have waited so long to get my hair done or maybe I shouldn't have asked for something so drastic and lastly telling me I should've booked a consultation. (When I called to book my hair appointment I mentioned it was for my wedding never was a consultation mentioned) I also did not assume that removing red from my hair and making it all one colour and brown would be a "drastic change" I was then told that I would have to pay and also would have to pay for my toner tomorrow when she was going to fix my hair. I met with my new stylist today Amanda Wilson. Amanda was warm, kind and easy to talk with about what I was wishing for in my hair colour. Amanda was efficient with her time and I was extremely pleased with my new colour and highlights. So much so that in over 15 years of having my hair coloured/highlighted ever shade there is (almost) ... today I left feeling this was one of my absolute favorites. And today's colour and highlights took skill .... I don't have easy hair to work with. Loved the results...... thank you Amanda! I've booked with Amanda before I left for the next 12 months! Read Less
