I will only get my hair done at The Head Shoppe on Herring Cove Rd. I have been coming here for about 15 years. I've had the same stylist for all this time as well. I have thick curly hair and my stylist knows my hair so well now, and knows what will and won't work. I've had such amazing experiences here that my sister who's hair is curlier and thicker started going to the same stylist as me about 2 years after my first time. My mother also goes here. Her stylist (different from mine/my sister) is wonderful too. She knows the problem spots when my mom gets a perm, or just the right amount of foils to get an amazing outcome. She even put my mom's very short hair in an updo for a special occasion. The owners, Nadine, Tyson and Morgan are second to none. I won't go anywhere else but Head Shoppe Herring Cove Rd to have anything done to my hair. They also offer Manis and Pedis, makeup artists, facial Care and products, and a full list of waxing services.

Had my hair done by Tyson as per usual...went in with the intention of telling him to quit on the lightening of my hair and just go back to dark because I can't handle the brassy in between stages...b...
Had my hair done by Tyson as per usual...went in with the intention of telling him to quit on the lightening of my hair and just go back to dark because I can't handle the brassy in between stages...but I took my chances and continued with the lightening and also chopped a good chunk off. So glad I did. My color looks awesome( no brass) Lol, and I love the cut. I left very happy as I always do. Tyson is a no rush kinda guy who takes his time to do it right.

My hair turned out nice but it wasn't what I was expecting to leave with. I was looking for just 1/2 head of colour, correcting the colour that was already there to a darker red/brown tone so it would blend more naturally with my natural hair that wasn't dyed and as my hair grows out. However, I left with my entire head colored a dark brown. :( Of course I noticed as she applied the dye that she was colouring everything but I'm too shy to correct someone that seems really confident so I just went with it. So partially this was my own fault which is why I would ideally like to give a 3.5 star review but it just doesn't let you pick that.

My stylist is incredibly intuitive AND skilled...and was able to translate "my vision" into a wearable work of art. ... She helped me to express my style, and left me feeling confident, youthful and vibrant. I go out of my way to come here and see Laura. She is as great as they say she is. My hair was a bit of a mess due to the last hairdresser not doing what I asked, and she straightened it out no problem, explaining everything to me as she went along. Laura is always in a friendly mood and I look forward to my visits and our chats. Everything comes out perfect: the colour, shampoo, cut and style. So go see Laura! She is very good, I think.

First time at The Head Shoppe (and first real hair cut in 3 years!). I had been growing my hair out to donate it to charity. I have very curly hair, and I was very nervous about getting it cut to a short length because I have had my fair share of terrible cuts. After speaking with Lauren, I decided to trust my cut with her and I was not disappointed. She gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had, and she is super friendly and easy to talk to. I also found the prices are really reasonable. I will definitely be going back!

This place is great! I actually live in Eastern Passage but make the long drive over here to get any esthetics done with Krista - so worth the drive! I had gotten a reccomendation from a girl that I worked with to try her and boy I found a gem! I've had multiple manis, pedis, waxes and tints from her - all with fantastic results. She gives a great foot massage!!! I've -even had her lash extensions and they're va-va-va-voom!

Had my hair done by Tyson as per usual...went in with the intention of telling him to quit on the lightening of my hair and just go back to dark because I can't handle the brassy in between stages...but I took my chances and continued with the lightening and also chopped a good chunk off. So glad I did. My color looks awesome( no brass) Lol, and I love the cut. I left very happy as I always do. Tyson is a no rush kinda guy who takes his time to do it right.

My hair turned out nice but it wasn't what I was expecting to leave with. This place is great! I actually live in Eastern Passage but make the long drive over here to get any esthetics done with Krista - so worth the drive!
