I have been coming here for years since they were on Barrington st for the most part, and have always lived the service and products they offer- including super nice personable staff. I went there December 30th for a package including manicure, pedi, makeup, cocktail and a Jane Irdale lipstick to take home! The price was amazing and so was Tamara, my eastitician - she knows her job well and the makeup was amazing!! Got so many compliments on it on the way home and it was comfortable to wear! Top notch facials and pedicures! My sister and I enjoyed the Ultimate Face Treatment and the full pedicure. There was a bit of confusion at first as there was quite a long wait to get the appointments started. It turned out that the technicians wanted to wait for both rooms to be vacated so we could start our appointments at the same time. This was never communicated to us at reception so it felt like we weren't being taken care of in the beginning. I suppose first impressions aren't everything in this case because both my sister and I proceeded to have EXCELLENT facials complete with a custom analysis of our skin and the use of Dermalogica products. The pedicure was really thorough - they used Essie Gel Couture polish. Quite the selection of colours and it dried quickly! One last thing to note is that Remedy collects 3% of your total to your account as credit for your future visits. It's too bad we were just visiting because this is a great incentive for repeat customers! Read Less

I have been going to remedy facial bar & Spa or several years. I've taken many friends there and even my own mother when she visits from Ontario. I have nothing but positive things to say. Angela and all of her staff have always gone very above and beyond what was expected by them. I love the gorgeous smells of all the products they use and their attention to detail.The spa is located conveniently across from a parkade where the Remedy staff will give you a dollar off coupon when you leave. Downtown parking is expensive but this little touch is so thoughtful. You can also earn remedy dollars when you shop there (like a money back system) so you can save those up and redeem for services and products!This place has a gorgeous spa feel and makes you feel comfortable and indulged from the moment you walk in! Exceptional service. Treated my coworker to the winter warm up special. The body scrub smelt delicious and made my skin feel amazing. It was such a relaxing experience. We then enjoyed the facial bar experience which is great and we had lots of laughs. Enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate with some bailey's and then snuggled down for a Parrafin hand treatment. I went in for a facial today with Andrea, and I have to say it was the BEST facial I have ever had! It's hard to please me due to having many issues with sensitivity and allergies and dryness, but Andrea walked me through all the products she used and explained what they do, how to use them, and why they would benefit my skin. I've been a patron of this cute little spa for over 10 years.  But I took a little hiatus for a year and a half due to life being busy.  Many staff changes in this time so I wouldn't Yelp my review until I went back. So... I decided to treat myself and bought a couple of gift certificates at their last girlie girl gift gala (always a good time).I've gone 4 times in the last two weeks and had a different aesthetician each time.  5 STAR SERVICE all around: Ashley, Andrea, and Candace!  Lisa for massage!  I know Angela is amazing and it's nice to know everyone else there follows her high standard :)November and/or December will offer their next gala sale - don't miss it!  And they have specials all the time and if you follow them on twitter you might catch a deal or opening for an appointment.Treat Yo Self! I don't go to the spa as often as I would like but when I do I go to Remedy. They give the best full mani/pedis, with the scrub and the massage it's heaven. I've gotten shellac twice there and both times it's lasted for so long, close to three weeks. Which is nuts. Hardly any chipping, my nails just grow and they start to look bad. So worth the money!I've also been waxed (eyebrows, which looks amazing but sadly my skin is too sensitive and I end up breaking out down the road so no more eyebrow waxing for me) as well as other waxing which has gone perfectly---put me at ease, quick and as painless as possible. This place is really great. The atmosphere is soothing and relaxing like a spa should be but it doesn't feel overwhelming which I was worried about since I'm not a regular spa-goer. It's petite so you immediately feel comfortable there and not out of place and it hasn't been crowded anytime I've been there. I went here to get my first spa package before my cruise which included a pedicure, full leg and "down below" wax and lash tint. I was really satisfied with my experience here. I had Ashley who is a master esthetician and she did a wonderful job, my pedicure lasted for two solid months. The only annoyance is the location because it's downtown and parking is a pain. I booked my sisters bachelorette party in for the facial bar and a few nail treatments which all happened this past weekend. I had a large group of girls that I was trying to organize whilst I was on the other side of the world, and Angela couldn't have been a bigger help! Her constant communication with me set my mind at ease. My high expectations were met and even exceeded and I know all of the girls had a great time! I don't have any previous experience with spa's (hair salon comes close??) so I don't have anything to compare to. I'm not a fan of scents, so the chemical smell that is masked with other smells is overwhelming. I prefer unscented laundry, detergent, dish soap etc so maybe other people may not find it so over powering. The person who did what I came in for was courteous and respectful. All staff were friendly. Didn't try and push any products - which was great. I would definitely recommend.Read Less
