Horrible service. Told me the nails were gel nails, then half way through, admitted they were acrylic. Made them so short you could not even tell them apart from my real nail, all shapes uneven, not smooth, one hand was long nails, others were short and when I voiced that I was not happy with the work, the man was extremely disrespectful, stormed off and raised his voice at me, I'm now left with damaged nails after I had to soak them in a harsh chemical to remove them. Would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy. All of the equipment appeared dirty and was cleaned with no cleaner, simply by wiping it on to a towel, two of my fingers have cuts on them. Had my first pedicure done at Lee's. Did some research before I went there so that I know what kind of style I want. I think they are willing to listen if you can give them clear requests and know what you want. The price they're offering is reasonable, too. I think it's worth it. I don't usually write reviews, but Kevin at Lee's did my nails today, and I was super impressed. He gave me a full acrylic set, and I've never had anyone take such care with the quality and effort to give me exactly what I wanted. The staff were very personable and kind. Thanks guys! The older gentleman there was very nice and inviting at first. Once my friend and I complained about her nails and how the older lady messed up on my friends nails he began to raise his voice at is and would not listen to us or take responsibility for her nails looking terrible at all. She basically spent the money for shellac and a manicure, but only had her hands moisturized and left with awful nails. The next day, all I did was move in bed and my nail fell off. I do not recommend ever wasting your money there, because if you don't like the end result they will just yell at you and get mad for their awful service. Read Less

If I could leave zero stars for this ' salon ' I totally would. Yelp unfortunately does not allow this. Went to get a simple shellac manicure. First attempt, there were bubbles in the polish, and the colour was not consistent. So they then added another coat. Still not satisfied as this now left steaks and bubbles in the polish. Also it was not shiny at all. I normally go to princess nails in CP or Jadore in Bedford but my gf and I were on that side of town and decided to give it a try. MISTAKE. My nails are horrible. They look like a small child tried to paint them. They were closing so I told the manager how I felt and showed him my nails. He offered to redo them. I told him I'm sorry but I'm not confident in your abilities. He yelled at me and told me he would only charge me for a manicure with French tip. Ended up being 26 dollars. I will never return. Also the bathroom is filthy. Very concerned about the hygiene. They also did a shoddy job on my friends acrylic nails. Do not give them your money. The older gentleman is great! Super patient and friendly and very gentle. Nails come out perfect any time he does them. The woman not as much. Always very rough to the point of painful. Doesn't listen. Cut my THUMB when trying to cut the nail and when I jerked my hand away and said ow she just yanked it back without so much as a sorry. Will not let her do them again. Read Less

This was actually the worst. After an initial battle where they kept trying to up-sell us---my friend and I just wanted a regular manicure---we finally decided on some colours. The man and woman were both pretty blunt and unfriendly, it didn't look like they sanitized anything, they even took out a gross used file to file our nails---but didn't even do that well since the ends of some of my nails were left jagged. I picked a navy blue and in the middle of the application he pulls out a bottle of oil or something (kerosene?) to dilute the polish because it was too old and thick... uhhhhhhh. When applying the polish he used his two giant thumb nails to scratch off his mistakes (gross) but that didn't stop him from leaving polish on my fingers anyway. When my friend said she didn't want him to cut her cuticles he argued with her then finally let it be but the rest of her manicure suffered as a result. To dry your nails they pull out a little standing fan that you have to hold your hands in front of. When we left, both of our manicures were ruined within 20 minutes. Never. Again. Read Less

Lee's Nails is just a small shop on Quinpool, distinguishable only by the ridiculous 80's era decals on the store front windows. My boyfriend and I have made it a habit to imitate the cartoon ladies, delicately flashing their newly polished digits, as we pass. I never thought I would ever have to frequent Lee's, I keep my nails fairly short, apply my own polish and I'm not a fan of fake nails (after a gel nail incident a few years back). The weekend before my class ring ceremony I was playing a game of pickup basketball with a few friends and broke two nails (I had grown them out specifically for this ceremony). I was having a major nail crisis, so I went to Lee's without an appointment, with little hope that I could even see someone, let alone fix my poor nails. I was pleasantly surprised ten minutes later when I was getting my hands massaged. An hour later I was on my way with two fake nails and fresh polish. The whole visit only cost me $50, which is a great price for such efficient and satisfactory service.Hot Hint: If you are a fan of manicures and pedicures but not a fan of the possibility of contracting bacterial infections (as can happen when salons don't properly sterilize their equipment) you can bring your own tools, or buy some for cheap at Lee's. My GF is a big fan of Lee nails on Quinpool and she always requests Kevin to do her nails. When I went to with her one Saturday I was very surprised to the whole progress just to get your nails done. For $30 a fill every almost 2 weeks and that is not the starting cost of $40-$50 to put a set on I was like WOW, I should be in this business. As well the whole cleaning  thing find of turned me off due to sanitary reasons which I will not go there. But hey she loves the place and continues to go each and every time.
