I went to fancy nails for the first time to get an acrylic full set for an upcoming wedding and couldn't be happier with my service!!! The ladies at the salon were so kind and very considerate! The salon and tools were very clean which is a plus also! My nails turned out great and the prices were very reasonable. Overall I would definitely come back here to get my nails done!! Superb! The prices are reasonable and the staff are great! Located at the LOWER LEVEL beside FOOD COURT. Took us a while to find the place inside the building on a Saturday since everything in there is closed. Very nice staff!! The place could use a renovation. The pedicure stations are located in a back room so it's a bit closed off, and the massage feature on the chairs doesn't work. Read Less

My friend and I booked appointments for a mani pedi at 5 and the ladies were very sweet and lovely. They didn't rush anything even though they closed at 5:30 and they weren't finish until 6:30. 2 of my fingernails were horrendous because I bite them all the time but she managed to cover it up and make it look square which was the shape I wanted. My friend's feet were extremely ticklish but they were able to accommodate and work around it. It is hidden but totally worth it! I will definitely visit again! Read Less

I had called this place to ask for prices before my friend and I went in because we wanted to spend only a certain amount of money. The lady who runs the place answered the phone and told us that a package deal for mani pedi shellac would be $50, we thought that was a great deal so we booked an appointment! After we got everything done we were charged $80! Both my friend and I heard the lady on the phone say $50 and we both repeated the number to confirm because we were amazed by the price and we were aware she had an accent. Unfortunately it was too good to be true and we were clearly lied because we were charged $80 after we had received our services. Really too bad because all of the other reviews on Google made us think it'd be a great place to go. After I brought it up with the owner she corrected the mistake. I am not a satisfied customer. I left the nail salon thinking that my nails were dry and cured and unfortunately when I went to retrieve my keys from my purse in the parking lot, my freshly painted nails smudged to bits. Though it was a busy place, it was nothing special. I could have done the same thing at home for a lot less than $40. If you want mediocre, go here. Read Less

Received a really subpar french manicure here today. It's a shame I can't make this my regular place. The prices are great and the women working here are really lovely.Still, they just... my nails look like I tried to do them myself. And I'm not great at it.Also heads up, they don't accept credit. The mother and daughter duo were awesome. So friendly and took time to make sure quality was given. After chatting with the mother I could tell how close she was with her regulars. Coming from out of town with mangled acrylic nails, I was in desperate need of a repair and fill.  I am WAY picky with my nail technicians and hairdressers... I've had my fair share of hair and nail nightmares with people who just simply don't know what they are doing!  This place is a rare gem.  She not only has one of the sweetest temperaments I've come across in the nail business, but she also is very accommodating and knows what she's doing.  She takes her time and has a definite sense of pride in her work.  Her and the other young lady working with her were wonderful!  Very attentive and their attention to detail is absolutely noticed.  I will be going back.  I HIGHLY recommend these ladies - two of the best I've seen in my 15 yrs. or so of having nail services. This place was recommended to me by a friend. We called in for an appointment (on a busy Mother's Day no less) and were in a chair only a couple hours later. Super friendly staff and great end result. Both my manicure and pedicure look fantastic and it was only $40 total! I will make this my usual place in Halifax! Read Less

Of course Fancy Nails isn't going to be a five star pedicure in terms of a spa like experience but for the price point, it's exceeds expectations. The pedicure was super cheap at $28 taxes included and met all the basic requirements. The service was spectacular though, everyone there was so nice, including the other clients. I loved the shop-owner, she was very sweet but unfortunately I can't give her a good review. I asked for gel nails and instead of telling me she doesn't have liquid gel she went ahead and used powder. I also showed a specific photo of what I wanted but she didn't want to do it. She did a great job shaping the nails but the plain black paint job was smudged in places and didn't look very professional. Probably not the best place to go if you want designs or more complicated nail art. Read Less
