Friendly staff but my haircut was a total disaster i've been bawling since i left. The layers are so out of sync it look like a kid cut my hair, i Clearly stated that i want the ends trimmed with the layering close in length but she chopped off the top back layer way way too short while the rest of my hair is like 10 inches longer!!!!! that layer just sticks up on it's own in a very strange way and I can't even hide it and i had to pay to look like this!!!! Finally a salon that knows curly hair of all types! I have 3 daughters that have curly hair and I was amazed at the results. Who knew white people could do black hair. Totally impressed and thankful. Went in for a simple wash and style (waves) as a walk in. I'm happy they could accommodate me within 20 or so minutes. Michelle did a fantastic job. I would definitely see her again if she went somewhere else. My only issue was the price. I paid over $60 for a wash and loose curls style. I have long, fine and pin straight hair. My hair is very easy to dry and style. And yet it still cost almost double of anywhere else. The owner (I'm assuming) insisted on charging extra. A regular wash & style but added an extra $30 charge for "curls". Loose waves that take 10 minutes should qualify as a "style". It does any other place I've been. *Edit* The owner has since reached out to me after my review to apologize and make it right with a credit for the extra charge. Lovely little salon, cozy and cute décor and funny & friendly staff. I went in because of their curly hair expertise and was NOT disappointed. I hadn't cut my long thick curly hair in almost 5 years and went in wanting a SHORT cut. Michelle listened to my ideas and previous bad experiences with short cuts and we decided on a plan together. She was patient and asked for my input along the way, making me feel very comfortable and confident that I was getting the cut I wanted. I really enjoy going to Coco's and have a wonderful time every time I am there. Kim and her staff are super friendly and inviting. They are always cheerful and upbeat and I always feel like they are very happy to see me and to cut my hair. They do a great job and every haircut has been perfect and to my expectations.
