I decided to try a new to me nail spa, I walked in and the price was a few dollars less than my normal place so what the heck I thought. I got charged additionally to remove old shellac while paying for a shellac manicure. No other nail spa does that, it is usually included because you are getting same for same. The shaping was good, the filing was just ok. What troubled me was when the shellac was getting applied. The tech started pinkies and then thumbs and had me dry them in the UV dryer and then did the same on the other hand then on to the next two fingernails and kept making me switch while she did the same two same nails on either hand. Two nail dryers were used in this process. This seemed like a chaotic and rushed method. I was the only person there, it wasn’t busy at all. The application of color was messy. A clean up of sorts was attempted with acetone and trimming my skin with the clippers. I noticed rough edges while paying and had to ask for a spot to be filed while paying. There is space between the nail color and my finger where my cuticle can be seen. I have some nail polish on my hand, nowhere near my finger tips somehow.
I will be needing to make a trip to the store for a nail file and acetone wipes to fine tune the clean up of my hands. This experience had so much potential to be better than one star if only there was no rush. Why couldn’t they just carefully do one hand at a time as is normal? I am glad I did not take a pedicure as well here. I will just get my manicure re done next week when I go to my usual spa. Lesson learned you get what you pay for and be loyal to tried and true. This place is not that.

I have always thought that spending money on getting nails done was such a waste of money until I got my gel nails done at Chic Nails & Spa! Mai has done such an incredible job! She did exactly what I had wanted and went above and beyond- I wanted to pamper myself for Canada Day so all I asked for was "red and white nails." Mai, with no hesitation, asked me if she could paint my ring fingers white and the rest red. Then she came up with an idea to add sparkles on the white & make the red ones matte + add 3 diamonds on them. Also, it's been almost a month since I got them done, but no broken nails whatsoever. Got sooo many compliments on my nails! Wow.. Mai, you have definitely gained a regular customer. Also, the nice thing about this nail salon is that although I booked an appointment at the very last minute (1 hr before), they were very accommodating. I didn't have to wait despite how busy they were. :) definitely going back this weekend!!

Chic Nails has such a welcoming and friendly environment that it’s kept me coming back for almost a year now. I always get my gel nails filled and have been for a pedicure - both are 5 star treatments...
Chic Nails has such a welcoming and friendly environment that it’s kept me coming back for almost a year now. I always get my gel nails filled and have been for a pedicure - both are 5 star treatments. They just got a bunch of new colours as well. I definitely recommend it!

Amazing! I love this place! I've been to a lot of nail salons and I've been left disappointed every time. I've been here twice now and I've not been disappointed. They do get busy but I'd rather go to a place that's busy than one that's not. They do exactly what you want and the best part is how friendly they are! I feel just like home there. I recommend this place to anyone even my family and friends.

I've been going to Chic Nails regularly for gel fills over the course of the past year and can't recommend it enough. The staff are so friendly and great at what they do. I always leave really happy with the work they've done and am constantly impressed with the quality of my gels; I'm not the most gentle with them and they hold up really well. Absolutely recommend!

So first of all, me, my step sister, my step mother, and my father made an appointment for 4 manicures at 5pm. When we got there they tried to shove pedicures on us, which me and mug step mother agreed upon but my step sister and father did not.
I was left to sit in the chair for 20+ minutes while my father and sister got manicures and my step mother got her feet started, even though we had called in advance (a week prior) they only had one real "manicurist" doing all of the girls gel nails, which takes 30+ minutes EACH.
This was my fathers first time getting a manicure and the lady soaked his fingers, pushed back his cuticles, cut them, and filed (not even well) them and that's it. No clear polish and no cleaning of underneath his nails. They charged him $22(!) for this
My lady did not scrape my feet nor shave my heels (which needed to be done and she didn't understand English).
When it came time for the gel nails, I asked for gel. The girl ended up starting acrylic (I don't get my nails done often so I don't know the difference but my sister does) even though I asked "This is gel?" She also cut me and my sister using the electric nail file, and charged my sister $50(!) for a fill. My nails were tipped in gold, and by time I got home my gold nail polish was coming off in flecks. My step mother got gems lining her cuticles and by time we got home and settled TWO of her gems had fallen off already.
The whole time the lady I pressume to be the owner or owners wife was badgering us, cristizing my step mother's Nail colour choices and so on.
They completely over charged us (over $300 until they said that they won't tax us if we pay cash, which is obviously so they don't have to claim it and pocket the cash, they didn't even ring it through the register or give us a receipt!) and terrible service. Will not be back ever.

I decided to try a new to me nail spa, I walked in and the price was a few dollars less than my normal place so what the heck I thought. I got charged additionally to remove old shellac while paying for a shellac manicure. No other nail spa does that, it is usually included because you are getting same for same. The shaping was good, the filing was just ok. What troubled me was when the shellac was getting applied. Amazing! I love this place! I've been to a lot of nail salons and I've been left disappointed every time. I've been here twice now and I've not been disappointed. They do get busy but I'd rather go to a place that's busy than one that's not. They do exactly what you want and the best part is how friendly they are! I feel just like home there. I've been going to Chic Nails regularly for gel fills over the course of the past year and can't recommend it enough. The staff are so friendly and great at what they do. I always leave really happy with the work they've done and am constantly impressed with the quality of my gels; I'm not the most gentle with them and they hold up really well. Absolutely recommend!
