This place is a joke! First off i get to the front door only to notice they have a note stating they only accept cash. Why when i made the appointment the night before did they not tell me this. I mad...
This place is a joke! First off i get to the front door only to notice they have a note stating they only accept cash. Why when i made the appointment the night before did they not tell me this. I made an appointment the night before For express mani and lounge pedi. I get there and there is only 2 employees. They are both working on 3 individuals, all pedis. Why book an appointment when you are fully booked? I would have gladly come later. Then a regular with no appointment saunter in and i get pushed aside. Finally i get a seat and they have me soaking in cold water for 30 mins. Cold water! Then both employees at different times work on my feet. Didn't give me the lounge pedi i booked for but did an express pedi. Guess they didnt have time. Again, why tell the customer lounge pedi was fine? Then they didnt tell me it would cost extra to have gel nails taken off. Only when i went to pay did i find this out. She brutally scrubbed those off. Did one hand and left to help someone else who was there. Then the other girl comes over and does the other hand. Then tells me to move over to the desk and takes my jacket and just throws it on the back of the chair. Not even nicely at all. Doesn't even ask. Nothing. Then i sit there watching rocky, since this is the only entertainment. I dont like violence and its a bunch of women getting there nails done. I mean come on! Horrible horrible place. Will definitely not be going back.

Been here a few times now. Not the greatest service the first few times but decent prices. However my last visit was absolutely terrible! Came in at 11 am there were two other patrons just waiting for...
Been here a few times now. Not the greatest service the first few times but decent prices. However my last visit was absolutely terrible! Came in at 11 am there were two other patrons just waiting for their polish to dry, two girls working. They got me started with my mani/pedi, one girl on my feet. I had shellac on my hands and toes so she soaked and started scrapping the shellac off my toes which HURT! After finally getting the shellac off and starting my actual pedicure the girl proceeded to cut away so much cuticle on my toes that four of my toenail beds are completely raw! Let's hope I don't get an infection... Not to mention the fact that a shellac removal and a pedicure with no polish took an hour and a half! As she was finishing up my feet another woman came in they started with her nails, the one girl disappeared and left me sitting there for an additional ten minutes. At which point I got up and said I was leaving because a mani/pedi service taking upwards of an hour and forty-five minutes BEFORE they even start the manicure portion is absolutely ridiculous. They then proceeded to charge me $55 for the entire ordeal!

On three different visits (the 2nd and 3rd giving them the benefit of the doubt) I attempted to be friendly, make light conversation, and in a polite way to clarify what was being said due to the language barrier. The women were unsmiling, uncommunicative in spite of my efforts, and spoke their own language over me and across me for the duration of my manicure. I decided not to go back.

Wow! Two of us had a 1:30 appointment. Me for a mani, my friend, for a pedi. Trouble was, there were only two techs on staff. So we sat the first 15 mins while they finished working on the three people already there. Then 2 walk-ins and another appointment arrived. That makes 3 not quite out the door, and five of us pending. The two staff women jumped like crickets from one of us to the next, but only doing a minute or two on each person so no one was given their full attention. And then (who knew???) a girl walked out of the spa treatment room saying she had to go. Turns out she was getting waxed and was abandoned in the room while more wax was being prepared. That makes 6 of us being 'worked' on simultaneously by 2 staff (which went down to 1 when one disappeared into the room to help that poor girl). She left looking very unhappy. And so did we. 1:30 turned to 3:30 before we got done. I changed my gel mani to straight nail polish because it was taking so long. What should have been a pleasurable experience was completely lost. And that is a shame, because the work that these two women deliver is actually very good. They either need more staff or someone to effectively manage their front end. It was terrible service this particular time.

Even thou my pedicure was started as soon as i walked in the door which i love, and looked great.
I also had a manicure which combined with the pedicure took over 2 hours to complete. my manicure had bubbles in the top coat right away and only lasted 3 days which i'm really disappointed about and won't be recommending this salon to anyone.

Very cute and clean salon, with friendly staff and great service. Took a little longer to get my pedicure compared to other places I've been, but the pedicure lasted much longer!

My new "go to" nail place. I always get frustrated when I pay (almost always too much) for a manicure that chips within days, doesn't stay, and doesn't work with my short nails- some places decide to just paint the centre to make them look longer but it obviously wears away much faster. The ladies at Diamante did a wonderful job when I went in. I paid $50 plus tax and tip for the best mani-pedi I have had in the lower mainland. This is a move in the right direction. I had almost lost faith in having my nails done anywhere around here - after going to Brazil and having an amazing manicure for less than $15 (CAD). It's such a con charging more than the services are worth, and I'm glad Diamante delivers better value than the others for a smaller cost.

This my new fave nail place, even if it is in WR.When you walk in, you feel like you are in a tiny palace, except that it's not a high-end, pricey spa or pretentious salon, it's a nail spa!Everything is perfectly clean. They do a wonderful job on your hands (didn't get the pedi this time).They have a stamp card, and I believe the prices are less than or comparable to others. (Mine was a bday gift!)I seriously have not found a better nail place around. The only caveat is you have to go to White Rock. But there is free parking out front, and it is next to one of the best retro-diners in the entire city.Coming here really is like leaving Vancouver entirely. I am only withholding one star as mine smudged on my way out, but that wasn't their fault, and I was in a rush. I will return again so that I can give them a perfect five!

Been here a few times now. Not the greatest service the first few times but decent prices. However my last visit was absolutely terrible! Came in at 11 am there were two other patrons just waiting for their polish to dry, two girls working. They got me started with my mani/pedi, one girl on my feet.
