The staff are very friendly though when we called to book an appt they said they were completely booked and first said they could only see one person, then said they would be able to see my husband but only back to back appt's and then said they could have us side to side. I was happy that they could accommodate us so quickly. When we got there, the staff were really nice and made you feel welcome. During our appt though we noticed no other customers were there so I wondered why they claimed to be so busy....maybe had cancellations. I chose a nail color and it didn't turn out to be what I was expecting it to look like and because there were so many layers of gel (6 layers) my polish chipped 2 days later which was disappointing. My husband opted to get a lava rock pedicure. A massage/pedi that's supposed to be 75 minutes that ended up being roughly 45 minutes. I feel like we paid for service that we really didn't get and paid in full. Looking back at the whole picture, it seems like they maybe didn't want to provide services and wanted to take our money. I had a prenatal massage with Erin. Best massage I have ever had. She was so nice and did a great job focusing and coming back to the areas that were really bothering me. So glad I chose this place! It is more affordable for massage than most places in Whistler too. Read Less

So, I'm always a little weary about getting a spa treatment in a ski resort area because it usually ends up being a bit disappointing. I think the reason is because the spa knows it will always get a continuous flow of clientele, so it doesn't have to try as hard. This is not the case here. I had an amazing body scrub, accompanied by a massage and wrapped in Cocoa butter. I kept thinking,  okay this was wonderful,  it'll probably going to wrap up,  but the treatment kept going! A bunch of went. Not great. The manicure looks worse than what I would do. Uneven at the cuticle. The girl had dirty nails and shaky hands, likely from a night out before. She gave my friend a hot stone treatment and didn't seem to know what she was doing. She was just out of high school and didn't have education in massage, etc as I understand. She was a lovely girl, hope she's not wrapped up in this trashy lifestyle here. Everyone was so nice but it was an insane waste of my money. I visited Eco Chic Spa in February 2016 while on vacation in Whistler, BC. I went with two girlfriends. I would say that the service provided was just satisfactory. The cost of the pedicure with tip came to over $90. I did not receive a pedicure massage which is the norm, my nails were not trimmed and the fast drying polish that they applied started to wear off by the end of the day! My girlfriend received a pedicure and also a manicure. The manicure did not include a massage nor any hand cream! I normally get pedicures back home monthly and for a fracture of the cost and have never expressed my dissatisfaction. I did in this case to the manager when I got home. She apologized and told me that she would send me a gift certificate for another pedicure right away. Instead, a full on investigation was pursued... they asked for photos of my nail polish, which I provided, and they talked to the estheticians who stated otherwise. I think for an upscale salon, they would simply acknowledge the below standard "deluxe pedicure" but they couldn't even do that. When a customer expresses dissatisfaction and backs it up with valid concerns, a reputable company should at the very least acknowledge that. They failed miserably. I would not attend again nor would I accept a gift card. To those seeking a good pedicure or manicure, I would not recommend Eco Chic Spa.Read Less

I did not have a great experience at this spa. I went in for a couples wrap and a massage with my girl friend. I am speaking of my experience alone because the woman that my friend had was lovely.My massage was fine but the wrap seemed extremely rushed. The woman was in and out of the room far too often and was also very noisy. She kept leaving me for long periods of time. She painted the product onto my body as though she was slapping it onto a wall. She rubbed it off of me with the towels like I had just got out of the shower.  When she was working on one part of my body, the rest of my body was exposed so I was getting cold.  There were also two different sets of music going. One In the room and one quite loud one out in the spa so it was hard to relax.  It felt as though she was more concerned with getting the product onto me and off of me than how it felt going on and coming off.  The whole reason for a spa is to indulge in the senses. And what I received at the spa, I could have done it myself. It did not feel fantastic and it was not relaxing in any way. There seemed to be no thought or gentleness put into my wrap treatment.At the end of it when it came time to pay, I asked the girl at the front if I could speak to someone about my treatment so she went and grabbed the owner of the spa.... Who just so happened to be the girl that did my treatment. I kindly and gently explained to her my feeling on how the treatment went and that I was quite disappointed with it and she immediately became defensive. She kept giving me excuses and saying that she asked me if the pressure was fine during the massage and that I had said yes, and I had to remind her a few times that the massage was fine, that I was disappointed with the wrap. She did not take responsibility for my less than pleasant experience and she did not take feedback well. She also told me she has been doing this for 17 years and that she has never had a complaint before which I find very hard to believe.My only suggestion if you do go to this spa, is that you don't get a treatment done by the owner.
