I went to get an acrylic back fill hoping to do something fun for Xmas. I got Elaine, and was bumbarder with some of the rudest customer experience I have come across. Somehow she thought me asking her to correct the curved nail she did was offensive and then was angry and pushy. After she was done rushing me through, her other appointment showed up and was sweet as pie to her, helping with her jacket and laughing and chatting. I have been coming here since I moved to Victoria in September and Peter always does an amazing job on my nails, but the last time I went, two of my nails broke within 3 days of getting them done. They also display on their price list that acrylic fills are $25, and I understand that gel polish is an extra $10, but when I went to pay, it came to $50. I paid it and left, but when one of my nails broke and I went back to get it fixed, I asked them about the price, and they argued with me, and told me that Peter would NEVER over charge me and that I was wrong, and refused to hear me out. Then I just asked to get my broken nail fixed and another male employee (not Peter) got pretty rude and told me that I couldn't just walk in and get it fixed immediately and that I had to wait, so I sat down and maybe 30 seconds later a lady called me to a chair to fix my nail. Glued my skin under my nail to the nail extension, refused to file the glue off, and then she fought me on what colour she thought it was, but I told her the number and she told me numerous times that I was wrong, but then Peter piped up and told her that I was right. At the end of it all, the fixed nail is crooked and horribly done, plus all of my gel polish is chipping off a week after getting them done.  All around bad experience. Read Less

They are ok for a quick manicure or a perdicure or just for application but not that great! I work in the same complex so if i dnt have time to go else where, i stop here. They dnt use a good polish i believe because evrytime i got the gel polish from them, It got chipped very quickly and didn’t last long! not a very good experience tho! Read Less

When I first moved to Victoria, I had a lot of trial and error with nail salons. Some did a bad job, others were incapable of keeping an appointment. I decided to give this place a shot 2 Years ago and haven't looked back, even had Peter do my nails for my wedding. The staff are consistently talented, friendly, and honour appointment times. Unfortunately it’s not possible to give negative stars. Elaine is a “nail tech” at this shop. The absolute worst customer service, the worst nails (put what she wanted on my hands even though I asked for a basic nail request). I had to use nail clippers and tweezers to rip off the horrible “job” she did. The manager wouldn’t even listen to my experience at their business kept over talking and defending Elaine’s cunty disrespectful disgusting treatment of a customer (myself) I am horrified and traumatized by my experience and I am sure that this is how they treat many people there is no way I am the first person to be so disrespected by the staff and manager Read Less

**Updated to reflect problem fixed** Very dissapointed with my service today. I always go here, Peter and Fiona always do a great job on my nails, I always get acrylics. My nails were finally long enough underneath my acrylics that I asked to have them removed and just have gel polish done. When I sat down the girl (someone I have never had before) confirmed "Manicure?" I said "No, just gel polish". She proceeded to take off my acrylics, and she cut my cuticles (this was so m...inimal that I didn't think anything of it) then she did the nail polish. When it was time to pay she said "$63.00" I said "$63.00 for nail removal and gel polish?" She said "$20 for polish, $20 for manicure" I didn't ask for a manicure so I expressed to her that this price was wrong, she argued with me that when she asked if I wanted a manicure that I said I did, which I did not. This also confused me, because like I previously stated, all she did besides take my nails off and put gel polish on was cut my cuticles. So cutting cuticles costs $20? I paid the 63 dollars and left. I was not going to argue with your employee infront of other customers because that is absolutely embarassing for all parties. I would greatly appreciate a refund of what I paid, I will gladly pay for what I had requested. Elaine is my go to mani/pedi lady! She is fantastic. Skilled and professional. I even get my husband in for a pedi every now and then! If you are looking for a little time out for some self care Elaine is your lady! Reasonable pricing and good selection of regular and gel colours! Read Less

Have always had good service here, but today once the colour on my pedicure was applied the staff member walked away to start on a manicure with another customer. I had wanted a design added to the pedicure but wasn't asked or given an opportunity to ask for one. Read Less

A an esthetician myself, I am real picky with my nails and who does them. I tried so many salons around town and this was my first time going there. After reading the reviews I booked an appointment with Kim and she was awesome! She is super friendly, and made me feel like my money was well worth it. Will go back again :) Read Less

I have never been so unimpressed with a nail salon. When I called to complain about my experience, the tech who did my nails told me he was the manager and refused to let me speak with anyone else. I would strongly recommend you DO NOT go here. If you're left with no other choice, make sure Peter is not the one that does your nails, because they will look AWFUL. Read Less

I didn't have to wait for a walk in appointment, the actual manicure took forever though. The lady who did my nails was pretty rude.. like I don't expect a big long talk or something, but she snapped at me and was dismissive of my questions. The men working there were a lot more polite. If you are looking for a quick basic mani or pedi then this is a good place. They are reasonably priced and time-efficient. They accommodate walk-ins which is convenient when you suddenly realize your feet need some tlc before making an appearance in public. Read Less

I go to Urban Nail Spa for pedicures...it's easy to relax in their over sized leather recliners with built in massage rollers for the back, neck and shoulders! Each time I've gone there I've noticed how the staff truly pay attention to detail. They are creative and artistic making for unique nail designs every time! The staff are really friendly and welcoming which makes me highly recommend this place if you are looking for a feet treat (haven't tried any of the other services yet...) ;) Read Less

It's annoying how they don't honour appointments, and just take walk-ins at a first come first serve basis. It's fine if you're going to do that, but then don't take appointments. Also no one let me know what was happening and I just ended up waiting for 20 minutes after my appointment. Absolutely horrible. Read Less

Staff are rude.  Went with my mom, we felt like we were in that Seinfeld episode where the staff talk about the customers.  They were super annoyed at literally everything, and made that very apparent.  I felt like we were overcompensating with being super nice to try and make the experience better.  When I was done I had to wait for my mom, and I noticed they never changed anything at the station before starting on the next girl.  Won't be back.
