I'm not usually the type to write reviews, but really wanted to for Tango Salon. My husband and I were both there for a haircut recently, and I also had my brows waxed while I was there. Both my husband and I had a groupon (money is always a bit tight so we try to save where we can). In my experience, many business's brush you off or hurry you through when you have a groupon because they don't think it's worth it. Nothing could be further from the truth at Tango. Rei cut my hair and Kate cut my husbands - both were friendly and unhurried haircuts. Both ladies had amazing precision and attention to detail, and were very careful to ask questions, explain as they were going, and do their best to make sure we had exactly the cut we wanted. And successfully! Honestly one of the best cuts I've had (and my husband was happy with his as well). Maria did my brows, and she was also great! Brows were exactly how I asked for them, and she was a lovely woman. All in all, everything about this salon was professional, friendly, affordable, and completely unpretentious. Got one of the best haircuts ever with Mickey at tango. She is sweet, caring, professional and very patient. She walked me through everything she was about to do step by step and took the time to listen to me and get to know me. She gave me a great hair wash as well. There have been absolutely zero times in my life that I've had such a positive experience at a hair salon that I've been immediately compelled to write a review as soon as I got home, until now. I just had a cut and perm done by Hee Sun, and she did such an amazing job of both. I love it! I've been getting my hair permed for a few years now and have never been quite happy with the results, but she just seemed to know my hair. I always had trouble finding a proper Asian salon to cut my hair. I went to TM3 just before they closed unfortunately. Then I found Tango Salon! Megumi is a great stylist. Love her work! I am really surprised at the other review! In my experience, the staff at Tango were professional and understanding of what you want/do not want. They responded kindly to the fact that I've always had bad experiences with hairdressers cutting too much hair off. They had great advice and made sure that I was happy with the end result. To anyone considering getting their hair cut or coloured at Tango hair, save yourself the tears and agony. (not to mention a wad of cash) - They don't have valid BC Hairdressing licenses- I spent four hours in the salon even though I was getting brown color over my purpley Brown hair mistake..- Then she partially highlighted some front pieces of hair and I was looking to have them light brown,  but she made them orange then white blonde . I had to tell her to put color over it because I was about to burst into tears it was so hideous. Literally a patch of highlights in the middle of my scalp!!-After 4 Hours in the chair I ended with mediocre hair and was horrified when I was charged $138.00 for such a rookie dye job. - When I tried to explain the price was unfair she added up all the prices in front of me and even had the nerve to act like she was doing me a favour by not charging for toner. Even though she clearly was in the wrong for giving me such chunky uneven highlights.Would never go again,  never recommended this place and hope it closes down because it's only been open for 2 weeks and I doubt will succeed with the service I had today.
