Being locals to Victoria, BC, we of course are familiar with Bear Mountain and all the amenities that offered up there. But we’ve never actually been there golfing or dining in Jacks. We had won a gift card for the Sante Spa at our corporate Christmas party, so we finally decided to go for our first ever couples massage.
Since we were new to the establishment, and didn't read the google reviews before we went, we didn't make the most of our experience as we should. We’ve never been to any type of spa so we wouldn’t have even had any idea of what to bring, do or ask. When booking the appointment we were never asked if it was our first time, as I assume if we had then we would have been told about all the spa extras that were there for us to take advantage of. Our bad! The power of the Google Review is realized!
The Sante Spa right away had us with its impeccable cleanliness and the beauty of its facility. The main waiting area was warm and inviting and the girls at the counter were friendly and helpful. We were moved to the change rooms where we put on robes and locked up our belongings. The bathrooms were once again beautifully decorated and super clean. We loved the little slippers that we were given to wear. After we changed we moved to the waiting area where there was a table of tea and little snacks such as turmeric lentil crackers, dates and our favourite chocolate almonds and salted almonds. Delish!
We opted for the 1 hour full body relaxation massage and it was wonderful. We were able to relax and enjoy the process together quietly. The therapists were very good and had great communication in regards to pressure ect… the whole way through. It was a nice dim lit room, beautifully decorated with soft music playing in the background. We even got to choose a scent to have placed by our head pillow.
After the massage, we went back to the waiting area and munched out and had tea by the fireplace. I wish I had brought a book. We know now for next time to bring a bathing suit and hit up the mineral pool after the massage and if it’s the summer to go outside and relax on the loungers for as long as we want.
We will definitely be back and better prepared. And when we do go back we will be sure to hit up Costco for the $100 gift card that only costs $75.

I have gone to this spa three times now and each time I go,I am hoping it will be a stellar experience. Unfortunately, each time is worse than the next. The technician I had was extremely cold and unfriendly and the service and work done was decent at best. For the prices you charge and the environment you offer, you need to step up your game Sante. As a client, I'd like my hard earned money spent there to be an "experience" with excellent work. Sorry to say that I won't be going back. Three strikes and you're out. :(

Been here MANY times and the atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing. Arbutus Wrap is by far my favourite treatment. Pedicures are great, make sure to get the wax soak on your feet! Go early and relax in the Mineral Pool with a glass of wine. My absolute favourite spa in Victoria. Be sure to stop at Westshore Costco first and get a Sante Spa $100 gift certificate for $75.

Great facilities and atmosphere. However, I had the worst massage of my life and was only offered a 20% discount for my next massage. I don't think I will be going back. A better bang for your buck would be Oak Bay Beach Hotel or the Willow Stream.

We love Sante! We're locals that visit regularly. Love the massage therapists and I've had the best gel manicures here (compared to the many I've had throughout the city). The mineral pool is lovely (it's not a hot tub so isn't overly warm). The atmosphere is so peaceful and the rooms are pretty. The couples room is my favourite spot.

My wife got me a 60 min massage for Father's Day. I've never felt so relaxed and the attention to details and pampering was amazing! I would have tried the sauna and steam rooms but I couldn't bring myself to leave the mineral pool. Incredible view and an experience that was priceless!

The Masgue was applied and I felt a strong tingling sensation. It was a worry .
After I got home 24 hours later my skin around my nose and forehead was red and very Dry. Now have tiny blisters ( 3 days later)
When I went back I was told why didn't I say anything. It is not my product they should know what it does. Also told that my skin could be stressed ( blame onto myself)
That their product is good etc. Well it was not good or not applied with the right dosage. My skin is very stressed now! $170 and my skin looks awful. Never again ...terrible.

We did a couples package, the experience was definitely a treat. Unfortunately at the time the pools were not in service - the only reason we spent the extra $$ and drove all the way out there. They emailed be a review to fill out so I mentioned that perhaps a discount or a pass to come back and use the pools would be appreciated - but no luck, no one got back to me. I would recommend calling ahead if you are interested in using the pools to make sure they are working. The view from the deck is incredible.

Becka (sp?) is absolutely a gem and very helpful.
Karen was thorough and gave me great tips and suggestions. She also noticed something about my skin type that no one has noticed/mentioned in the past.
Great service. Great atmosphere. I will be coming back again.

I have been coming to Sante Spa since it opened more than 10 years ago, I believe. I love the atmosphere and the care the that is taken to make visitors comfortable. They listen when feedback has been given which is important as well. I also really appreciate that they are a sustainable spa. Kudos to Jen and her staff.

This place kind of sucks. Was not offered a robe upon check in, which I thought was odd. But I did get a perfect gel manicure which I love. But my pedicure was awful! 3 hours after I left the spa my toes were still not dry and I ruined them! I think 3+ hours for nail polish to dry is just ridiculous, I've never been anywhere that it takes so long. Overall an unenjoyable experience I will not be returning and do not recommend.

This spa was quite nice. It is large, spacious and very calm, even when fully booked. The lounge area is almost like a living room and quite nice, with windows on two sides. There are several different outdoor spaces, allowing different groups to find privacy. The mineral pool has a fantastic view over the valley.There are nice touches in the change rooms, as well, including plastic bags for wet swimsuits.I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it to someone in search of a spa experience.It may have been due to being there on a very popular weekend, but it was very well staffed and the spa host was around constantly, offering to move chairs, bring us anything we needed, pick up glasses, refill things, etc.

At the top of Bear Mountain in the Westin Hotel, Sante Spa is a great spot to relax after golfing one of the two world class golf courses the resort has to offer. Steam facilities, sauna, and outdoor mineral bath are included with treatments. A full selection of massages, and beauty regiments are available. The staff is friendly, and eager to help. The change rooms are well appointed with toiletries, deodorant, toothbrushes and such if you forgot your own. Clean, and comfortable, I will go back next time I'm in Victoria.

Love Sante. The staff are fabulous and the services are great. I've gone for quite a few massages (along with my hubby) and they are always wonderful. The crystal suite is very nice if you're looking for a couples massage. It's nice to sit and talk by the fireplace in a private room after a massage. I've also had great manicures and pedicures, but the thing that makes this spa five stars for me is the girls helping me with my makeup and face cleansing issues. I have terribly reactive skin and they had solutions for me that have changed my life (you must ask about the face cleansing mitt - it's amazing!). The only con is a limited spa menu for food, but the food is good. One of my favorites on the island.

First class. My wife loved the massage and even though I hadn't had one they let me go back and enjoy the mineral bath and other amenities (sauna, steam bath, etc.). Wonderful facilities and service.

Being locals to Victoria, BC, we of course are familiar with Bear Mountain and all the amenities that offered up there. But we’ve never actually been there golfing or dining in Jacks. We had won a gift card for the Sante Spa at our corporate Christmas party, so we finally decided to go for our first ever couples massage.

I have been coming to Sante Spa since it opened more than 10 years ago, I believe. I love the atmosphere and the care the that is taken to make visitors comfortable. They listen when feedback has been given which is important as well. I also really appreciate that they are a sustainable spa. Kudos to Jen and her staff.

This place kind of sucks. Was not offered a robe upon check in, which I thought was odd. But I did get a perfect gel manicure which I love. But my pedicure was awful! 3 hours after I left the spa my toes were still not dry and I ruined them! I think 3+ hours for nail polish to dry is just ridiculous, I've never been anywhere that it takes so long. Overall an unenjoyable experience I will not be returning and do not recommend.

This spa was quite nice. It is large, spacious and very calm, even when fully booked. The lounge area is almost like a living room and quite nice, with windows on two sides. There are several different outdoor spaces, allowing different groups to find privacy. The mineral pool has a fantastic view over the valley.There are nice touches in the change rooms, as well, including plastic bags for wet swimsuits.I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it to someone in search of a spa experience.It may have been due to being there on a very popular weekend, but it was very well staffed and the spa host was around constantly, offering to move chairs, bring us anything we needed, pick up glasses, refill things, etc.

At the top of Bear Mountain in the Westin Hotel, Sante Spa is a great spot to relax after golfing one of the two world class golf courses the resort has to offer. Steam facilities, sauna, and outdoor mineral bath are included with treatments. A full selection of massages, and beauty regiments are available. The staff is friendly, and eager to help. The change rooms are well appointed with toiletries, deodorant, toothbrushes and such if you forgot your own. Clean, and comfortable, I will go back next time I'm in Victoria.

Love Sante. The staff are fabulous and the services are great. I've gone for quite a few massages (along with my hubby) and they are always wonderful. The crystal suite is very nice if you're looking for a couples massage. It's nice to sit and talk by the fireplace in a private room after a massage. I've also had great manicures and pedicures, but the thing that makes this spa five stars for me is the girls helping me with my makeup and face cleansing issues. I have terribly reactive skin and they had solutions for me that have changed my life (you must ask about the face cleansing mitt - it's amazing!). The only con is a limited spa menu for food, but the food is good. One of my favorites on the island.

First class. My wife loved the massage and even though I hadn't had one they let me go back and enjoy the mineral bath and other amenities (sauna, steam bath, etc.). Wonderful facilities and service.
