I was really disappointed with every aspect of my first visit. I booked an eyelash lift and tint before a vacation and a 45min apt turned into a big chunk of my day! Don’t book online the website is in MST time and the salon doesn’t covert the time. So when I arrived at 1 MST I was told I was too early for my apt and made to come back. When I returned an hour later I was told that the room to do my lift and tint was not booked so I could sit in a pedicure chair or wait another 45min to have the correct room. I waited. Once the treatment started I had to listen to my esthetician talk about what to order for lunch and leave me several times. I felt uncomfortable when the perm cream was on my eyes and the alarm to remove was going off and I was alone just waiting for someone to come back to me. Wrong colour applied. No cuticle trim when it was clearly needed. Nail polish didn't even reach the end of my nails. $94 + tip for just a mani and pedi with natural nails and two days later the shellac was chipping and my nails did not look anywhere near just freshly done. Really disappointed. After emailing about my issues, the response from Susan (not the one who did my nails, but rather the owner) was so lacking the value a customer should receive. Even after sending a picture of the horrible service I received, I only was offered to have the nail polish chips fixed but it would have to be within a few days. Great offer to keep me as a customer when I live in Vancouver but visit Victoria often to see family. This was my first and last experience with Nail District. Way too many other options and competition to pay a high price for less than mediocre quality. Really unfortunate Nail District doesn't value its customers. Without us, there is no business. Sue always gives amazing service and it is a treat to chat with while getting my nails done. She is very creative and I always walk out with exactly what I want!! The quality of her work is amazing as I have never broken a nail even after jamming them in doors or doing other things that could potentially break them. By far the best around! Read Less

I went to get my eyebrows done a while ago at nail district. I love my brows but they needed a little pluck and I thought why not get them done! It was awful and it was the worst experience of my life. She destroyed my beloved brows!! That was the first time I have got my brows done and now I'm traumatized!! I went home and puked several times from fear at the thought of being in public with these brows! The girl should be working at a butcher shop because she sure butchered these brows!Read Less

Let me just start by saying that the shop is absolutely GORGEOUS. A shabby-chic masterpiece! Secondly, I want to give kudos to the staff the for hospitality - it's not often that you find such a beautiful and kind staff at a nail salon; moreover, because the staff is so happy their skills really shine. Every time that I get my nails done, I walk out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. It's like a piece of art on my fingers. Finding a nail tech that is "good" is easy, finding those that are "great" is very difficult. Chelsea is by far the best nail tech I've had period. I recently had my baby shower at Nail District and was so blown away, they were very accommodating and went out of their way to make it very special. The type of service we received is so rare these days! They allowed my friend who was throwing the shower to come early and bring special drinks and cupcakes, they set up a cute little area for us to be in to make it more private and even gave all my guests a little take home gift! The salon itself is so beautiful and has many elegant touches that you feel like you are at a spa, but the prices are so reasonable!
