After moving back to the lower mainland from Kelowna, I was worried to find a new place to get waxed as we all know this can be really hit or miss depending where you go! Although I live in Delta, I decided I would make the trek to Yaletown since I had been regularly going to the Ten Spot in Kelowna, and when I had to leave my girl there she said they are all trained with the same procedures at all locations. Super thankful I did try this one out, because I met an AMAZING esthetician named Samantha. She is so easy-going, knowledgeable, and really pays attention to detail! Fast forward a year and a half later, and I’m still seeing her on the regular. In this time I’ve tried one of the other girls when I couldn’t get in with Sam, and.. Hello. I’ve been to The Ten Spot many times and was always pleased with service, but not this time. I’ve never had problems with gel nails but a little over a week since I did manicure and the gel just got detached. I’ve never had this happen with my nails before. Very sad and disappointed. Absolutely love it here. I get my nails and brows done by Alexis and she always knocks it out of the park. She makes me feel right at home and is great to chat with. The bench's for pedis are so comfy and the scrubs and lotions are all natural. Love love. Read Less

I've been to The Ten Spot for years, both in Vancouver and Toronto locations. The estheticians are great. My one star review refers to my latest appointment. I got charged an extra $10 out of the blue because they used hard wax instead of strip wax. I always had hard wax during my previous appointments and always got charged the website prices. Good customer service would be to:1. Notify customers on website which services include hard wax or strip wax2. Before customers book a service with hard wax, let them know whether there is gonna be a $10 (steep!) surcharge added to their bills or not... Read Less

Thank goodness for Ten Spot! I called last minute (30 minutes before my desired time) and they were able to accommodate me to get my nails done before our engagement shoot today. I had done my nails myself last night but they got all wrecked overnight. The team helped choose and suggest a color that would look nice with my ring and outfits that I would be wearing. This is a lovely, clean, friendly and non intimidating place to get services done. I don't go to spas very often and was really nervous about getting waxed! I had Pauline for the virgin brazilly and she was patient and answered all my questions. I also got my nails done and those turned out lovely as well. Pauline also helped me pick a colour which was lovely and the advice was way more than "what colour do you like." And thank god for the tv and Netflix! Watching baby polar bears fight for survival helped take my mind off what was going on. I did have to return the next day for a touch up on the manicure - one nail was peeling and lifting - and to get some clarification on waxing regrowth/feeling stubbly post wax. HOWEVER, they  patiently answered my questions, fixed my nail no questions asked, and added a credit to my account. They clearly value their customers and I will definitely be returning! Read Less

I cannot say enough good things about The Ten Spot. It is by far the cleanest spa I have ever been to (and I worked in the industry for over 5years). The customer service is by far the best I have ever experienced. Booking appointments is super easy, and they are very accommodating. The pedi stations are incredibly comfortable, I am tall, so I've been to places where I actually have to hold my own leg up to get my toes painted (and that is definitely not fun). Here the stations are at a proper height for clients and for practitioners to be able to do their job. I can definitively say this is my new go-to spot for future spa days. Read Less

The space is so clean, the files are disposable so they don't touch the same people and everything is very sterile. The chairs for a pedi are SO comfy. The only reason I'm rating 4 stars is because the space for manis is on the side in little tables which are a bit cramped and the chairs aren't that comfortable so I kind of feel like for pedis you are treated like royalty but manis are a bit more downgraded in comparison. However, the skills of the people treating you are definitely no less excellent and they definitely make sure you feel cared for. Read Less

I booked a facial waxing (side note: love their online booking system) but on the day of my appointment I woke up with a breakout. Their policy is that any cancellations or appointment changes have to be done at least 24 hours in advance, but I called anyway to see if I could swap out the wax for a facial. I expected them to say they didn't have anyone available to do the facial or remind me of their policy, but they swapped out my waxing appointment for a quickie facial around the same time -- amazing!My facial was with Samantha. She was super sweet and welcoming, explained the process as she went along, and recommended products specifically for my skin type and concerns. Afterward, my skin felt so soft and had a great glow. I went today for the very first time to this location and I loved it. My technicians name was Hannah and she was amazing. She just moved here from Ireland and has top skills. She explained everything step-by-step. I felt very comfortable and the service was great. This was the best manicure I ever had. The space is super clean and Very welcoming. I've been dying for a good spot for mani/pedis. Everywhere feels either a bit sketch (those horrible foot spas) or feels TOO frou frou. This is a really good balance. A clean, comfortable space. I love the emphasis on hygiene. And they did a heck of a job too. My feet are Hawaii ready. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only thing I could say is that I hope they add more locations in Vancouver-- Yaletown is a little out of the way for me. Read Less

Love coming to the Ten Spot.  My sister took me here for my bridal shower party last year, and ever since then, I have been back a number of times for manis and pedis.  I also got a facial done once, which was lovely.  What I like best is how clean and bright everything is in there.  The lotions that they massage with smell so, so good.  The customer service is always top notch as well.  Samantha is amazing!  Super friendly and professional.  Highly recommend. First pedi? The finest. I stopped by here with a friend for a much needed toe time and the results were beautifully unexpected. There are no unclean jets and zero questionable blades that slice your skin clean off - no way! These ladies pamper your tootsies hardcore to ensure that you have the best results with a much more natural clean. Julie and Reese are the best! I am a regular at the ten spot for about a year now. I get most of my service done by Julie and Reese, but all the esthetitions are very kind and caring not to mention professional. The receptionist is also very friendly and accommodating.I have been to a handful day spas in downtown vancouver and kits ares over past 5 years and this is definitely the spot! (Pun intended)What's different here is everything is absolutely sanitary and very clean. They use stainless steel instruments and sterilize them in autoclave.So far, I have done pedi, mani, waxing, and facial. Non of the experiences were nothing but pleasant and relaxing as how spa experience should be.Their rewarding benefits are very reasonable and generous considering it's a 1:2 ratio of redeemability. I came here for a pedicure and everything exceeded expectations for me! Reese, the esthetician was very informative of what she was doing, and why, and in the end the pedicure was one of the best I've had! Shaping and buffing was painless and lovely, and the lotion and scrub used is The Ten Spot's own brand, and smells amazing.
