Probably the worst pedi I've ever gotten. It was my boyfriends first time getting one & even he agreed! I don't think these girls know what they're doing when it comes to pedis. the first time I came here she missed some steps, but I decided to give it another chance. I gave this place a second chance as they had just opened the first time I went and I figured they had bugs to iron out. Got a pedicure and was offered a $10 manicure special. I got a $10 manicure that's for sure. The polish doesn't go to the edge of my nails, they look like they've been growing out for 2 weeks. The girl used her nails to scrape off polish that got on my skin instead of using a proper tool. It started chipping the next day. Probably because the polish barely reached the end of my nails too. The pedicure was fine, but she dropped a brush she was using to wipe off polish from my skin on the floor, wiped it on a towel and continued using it. She didn't ask what temperature I wanted my foot bath water, luckily I like it scorching hot. I needed polish removed and there are still remnants of it on the sides of my nails as she didn't remove it properly. The riser that the chairs are on are in desperate need of a cleaning and coat of paint. They look so dirty. And there's a straight view to their cluttered back room, complete with staff member on her phone. There are curtains but they were open. The whole place just feels cramped and not very sanitary. The girls didn't look very put together and professional. The girl that did my pedicure was in flip flops, sweat pants and a shirt cut so low that pieces of my cut nails were flying into her cleavage. That's what the second star is for as at least I got some amusement from my experience. I wouldn't recommend this place, nor would I ever go back. There's way better places out there! Read Less

Amy makes you feel comfortable and like a best friend as soon as you enter the door. All the girls have great energy and make it fun! I took my husband here to start off our Sunday afternoon date last weekend and was so pleased! I had a gel pedi done and he got a mani/pedi with their $5 off deal. The have a nice selection of gel polish colours and everything was clean. I work in the beauty industry as well, and cleanliness is VERY important to me so I was happy to see them sterilizing their tools and I liked the plastic liners for their pedi bowls (and that they don't use those gross jetted tubs). I did take one star off for the seating as I didn't find the Ikea chairs they use for the pedi to be very comfortable or supportive. Maybe they're just a temporary thing? Anyway, both my husband and I loved our services and will for sure be back - especially with how close and convenient they are to where we live! I would definitely recommend giving them a try! I've been getting gel manicures and eyelash extensions from Amy and her team since March. I love coming here because the girls are very sweet and do great work. I got a ton of compliments on my lashes for being very thick and natural (Amy, the owner, does extensions). Cozy, quaint, comfortable atmosphere. Not a stuffy over the top spa...it's perfect for those who want to relax, receive an amazing experience and be treated as though your the most important client they have ever had. Amy the owner clearly treats her staff very well as everyone appears happy. I was nervous to try a new place but I'm so happy I did!  They have me as a client as long as I'm in Vancouver. I came to Romantique for the first time, looking to get a gel mani & pedi. I was recommended by a friend to request Kathy. She was very gentle and did not nip me (I have a fear of cuticle nippers due to a bad experience I had at pure nail bar), which made me feel relaxed. Yet as I got older, I demanded more. In rare cases, there is a studio that balances everything I want and need. I've been waiting for Romantique to finally open because I know the beauty behind the name. I met Amy when I first arrived in Vancouver. She gave me a killer mani but I was more impressed by the passion she has for wanting to make her clients happy. That carries over into her new shop.
