I love Charisma! I usually book my appointments online same-day and have no problem getting in. The salon itself is clean, and they have great polish selection. The staff are delightful, and very thorough with their work. I usually get a shellac mani which lasts about 2.5 weeks without chipping/breaking. High quality products, and always impeccable service. I will never return here. The woman (Lucy?) that did my pedicure was undergoing training or was in an awful mood. She cut my skin with the file, let the gel polish dry all over the skin and cuticle, and my nails are so unevenly shaped. It was the worst experience I've had at any Vancouver nail salon. My go-to for nails! I come here every 2-3 weeks for a shellac manicure.  The girls here are super friendly and always make me feel welcomed. They always offer tea or water.  Their prices are so good for a downtown location!  And their job is top notch. Charisma Spa does a great job with shellac! I have been going every month for about four months to get pedicures and they always go a consistently great job. I love the massage chairs, and that they allow my dog to come and sit on my lap while I get my toes done. All the women who work there are very friendly, the tools are sterilized and sets packaged, and they have tons and tons of colour options. The only thing I might wish for is a more thorough foot scrubbing and longer massage, but for the price I think the value is the best around. Read Less

I initially had my acrylic with shellac somewhere else and really did not like it. The shape (ballerina shape) was really bad, very thick too and the length was relatively short, so I worried that it is not possible to fix it. This place, Tina assisted me from the beginning to the end. She was sweet and accommodating, but she's not overly friendly which I appreciated.I did not mention anything about fixing the shape, but she gave me the prettiest ballerina shape - not too sharp not too square. I could not be happier than this :) Did not go crazy with acrylic either which I loved, she used multiple multiple files to buff and smooth the surface. Lots of details went to buffing the surface, shaping, and cuticles before she moved on to shellac. The colour I chose was pretty transparent but she gave me a clean opaque coat at the end (3 coats for the colour), and still my nails are not that thick.I went to this place because it was close to my work, but will definitely go back for next fill! This place is less than ten minute walk from the Westin Grand Vancouver. Manicures and pedicures provided with great precision and care!  One of the best pedicures we've had in recent memory. The services offered are extensive, the salon is very clean and the music is pleasant. I wish this was closer to us than 2000 miles but we'll be back whenever we visit Vancouver. Love this spa! The girls are all amazing, super sweet and do a fantastic job. They always fit me in without an appointment, have a large selection of colours (in regular polish and shellac, which is what I always get) and they are super meticulous about making sure you leave with the perfect experience. Good price, very clean, would highly recommend! My job requires very frequent hand washing and with my red hair the nails had absolutely no colour transfer and the shellac lasted 3 weeks!Never going to another nail place again! Read Less

Honestly I feel as though I almost didn't want to write a review because then others may come. They already can get quite busy. Honestly for the same price you would pay elsewhere these ladies go above and beyond. Insane attention to detail. They really want to make sure you are happy with your nails. I've had both shellac manicure and pedicure here. The salon is super cute and a comfortable environment. I highly recommend. Desparately needed some me time today- called 4 different nail places and they were all booked. Charisma was booked too, but she said she'll check her appointments and call back- and she did . Glad I went. Nomi was amazing, neatest cleanest perdicure I've had. Okay, I love this place! However, if your aesthetician is a middle aged Asian woman (older than the rest of aestheticians at this salon) - avoid her at any cost! I have been doing my manicure and pedicure for half a year now and my nails always looked absolutely amazing! Today I went for a shellac manicure and this new older Asian woman was my aesthetician. First of all, she rushed - she finished the whole manicure in less than 40 min (usually, at this place, it takes an hour). I know that in other places it is often done in 40 or less minutes, but I am not going to those places for this reason - good service takes time   Another thing to mention, is that areas around my cuticles are very-very dry, therefore, what aestheticians usually do - they apply a hand cream after my nails are painted. However, this lady massaged the hand cream first and then literally soaked my nails in alcohol and applied the nail polish. Of course, at the end I got my bright red painted nails with very dry cuticles (kind of white) around them - it looks horrible! We made an appointment. We couldn't call them from our USA mobile phone. They don't accept calls from non caller ID phones and ours didn't populate. That was weird. They were ready for us with the team of four to take care of my wife and I getting a spa mani/pedi. Only weird part was that the girl doing my nails made me reach across my body in an uncomfortable position as she didn't want to move to the other side of my body by changing sides. The ladies working here were all very nice. They had massage chairs... not sure about the one massage pressure point that is pretty much in the middle of your butt.... That was quite the surprise. I had to keep my cool in figuring out how to turn it off.Otherwise my toes look great and the polish is still on. Price is reasonable as well for an hour long pedicure. Everything looked very clean. My new favourite nail spot! As a nail-biter (yes, even still!), I have found the solution: lovely, fun, painted nails by the ladies at Charisma. I've been going regularly for a few months, and am also greeted by name (and a cup of delicious jasmine tea! And chocolates!). They play fun bad-reality tv on Sundays (is there any other kind?), and have a great set-up for pedicures with massage chairs. I get gel nails with gel polish, and the set-up is clean, friendly, and lasts at least 3 weeks. I booked an appointment with Tina for a full set of french gel nails. I arrived about 5 minutes early and was seated right away. Tina did an excellent job with my nails. She was very attentive to the length and shape that I wanted my nails to look like. Very friendly staff and they all seemed happy to be working there. A little on the pricey side compared to what I've paid in the past. Before tip, it came out to $63 for the full Gel Nail French Set.  I didn't mind though because she really did a great job. WHAMMY!!Excellent customers services.Also they are speaking fluent English (amen to that).I went to an another place in da West End before and it was a lil bit tricky...The girls were more comfortable with their own foreign language...Also the ''Double Decker Mani+Pedi for 50.00$ is a great deal for Yaletown...I went there before when it was the previous owner. It was great too.But I really prefer the massage chair they got now then the previous coach.So relaxing... TV screen and free wifi... Tumbs-up for that!!Awesome as they open the tools in da front of you.Much appreciated... As I don't really believe in sanitizing the tools in ''hot water''...My mani and pedi was purfect... And it was a lots of OPI nail polish to choose from.I give them a solid 4 stars. If someone can confirm that they're is a dishwasher on site...I would give them... A five stars review. Read Less
