If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went to Allure based on positive Yelp reviews, but wish I had gone somewhere else. I had my eyebrows threaded and a full set of what was supposed to be gel powder nails. My eyebrows are not even at all and now I have to wait for them to grow out and get them done somewhere else. I'm pretty sure the girl who did my nails used acrylic powder instead of gel powder as they are too thick and sloppy looking. I asked for short, natural shaped nails but after asking her to cut them shorter three times I finally gave up and ended up with nails of all different lengths and a square shape. She never pushed my cuticles back and didn't apply the "gel" all the way to the top so they looked like I needed a fill right away. She left visible lines all over every nails from the drill and only put one coat of topcoat on until I insisted on a second coat. They use dirty drill bits and didn't even change the used towel on the table. My nails were chipping and breaking within three days and the clear topcoat turned yellowish. Do not go here. I am super-picky when it comes to getting my nails done.  My nail tech did an amazing job with my pedi. She took her time with cutting and shaping my nails.  Buffed and exfoliated my feet. Massage and hot stone massage then hot towel.Great nail polish application. Reasonably priced and gals who know what they are doing. I will be back! Read Less

A last-minute call to this perfectly located nail salon on Granville Street  resulted in one of the nicest experiences I've had in a very long time. Friendly and accommodating, I was immediately offered a bottle of water on this very hot day.As the owner worked on my manicure another spent time on my toes. An added bonus to an already great pedicure...Hot stones were used to relax my legs and my nails were secured with a strong lasting finish. If you book once with Sophia, you'll be a customer for life! I've been her customer for 6 years now. She's great at what she does and she takes good care of her customers. Ive been going to Allure for about a year now since I found this place for the first time! I just moved it to the neighbourhood and was trying different places to get my manicure and eyebrow threading. After trying many places I finally found Allure and never look back! Friendliest service here and very relaxing. Lots of laugh and most of all, absolutely perfect nail job! I've been to a different shop and got a mani that chips a week after. From Allure, I can honestly go on for 4 weeks if only my nail would grow slower. They also do an amazing eyebrow thread - I always see her. Service was great, large selection of colors to choose from, nice massage chairs, salon was clean and they gave a fabulous foot massage with hot stones. I will definitely be back. I come to see Sally. I haven't tried the other ladies yet because I like her so much. She does an amazing job and is very detailed. She paints gel very well and is super sweet.  The hot stone pedi is amazing. :)Also they use these super cute clips for the cotton balls during gel removal. No messy tin foils! Read Less

Absolutely lovely staff and fantastic pedicures! They have beautiful brand new massage chairs - the foot basins are protected by a fresh sanitary plastic wrap for each customer and they sterilize their tools with a special machine between uses. Their pedi's include: an exfoliating scrub, an AMAZING massage and hot stone finishing massage. They have a great selection of nail polishes too. In my opinion, Cathy is the best in town, hands down (pardon the pun). When I go in, my feet are rough and dry, and I feel like she gives me shiny new ones. As a person who is extremely picky and high maintenance with beauty services, Allure Nails and Spa totally fit the bill. I got a shellac manicure, I should also mention it was their first week of opening in the beautiful South Granville area, and picked up a Starbucks (just a couple steps away) afterward with my nails done all gorgeous-like. Prices are more than reasonable for a west-side nail salon (only $30 for a shellac mani!!!), and the service was professional and fri...endly. My cuticles were cleaned to the T, shaped to perfect domes, and it's been a week since my mani; my shellac is still perfectly intact, not chipped, and still getting compliments. My nail technician is Sophia, one of the owners; very, very sweet woman, super adorable, and she's amazing at what she does.
