As far as their work is concerned, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. Just your typical manicure and pedicure but at a higher price point than at most places. As far as customer service is concerned, I would give them negative stars. We booked the entire salon for a wedding nail party, the owner told us that a deposit would be required and the salon would be closed to the public from 1pm onwards. The bride gave her credit card information, requesting that they not take any payment but just keep the card on file in case. The owner said that was against their policy and she would have to take payment. That was fine, the place was booked and we were happy. We intitially had 13 ladies coming in but one had to cancel a few days prior. We arrived at 1pm, there was 4-5 other people already getting services, some who had just started. They said they were behind with appointments, we didn’t mind. Just waited. Slowly they started out party’s nails. At 3:30...there was still 5 of us waiting for service. This would be fine and acceptable, however the owner never shut down the salon. She continued taking OTHER people, while The remainder of our party kept waiting. After 2.5 hours of being patient, we finally spoke up and questioned the owner, she proceeded to tell us that because one of our 12 person party had cancelled she booked other appointments as well. How does this make sense? We had booked the entire salon. She refused to apologize and instead made up excuses and said she felt attacked. I have been getting my nails done since 1980 so it's fair to say that I've been to several salons. Finding someone with the technical skills and the passion to create amazing nails has been a challenge until I met Sheila. I met Sheila prior to her opening up Haute Nails and once I saw the incredible work she did, I told her that if she ever left the current salon she was working in to let me know. I would follow her to where ever she worked to ensure I would always be proud o...f my nails. Once Sheila opened Haute Nails, I knew I would make the time to get my nails done there even thou it meant my drive was 4 times as long. And I've never regretted it once. Sheila has such passion for her craft, she never fails to amaze me on how she is able to make my nails look fabulous every time. Whether I choose short nails due to working on a keyboard everyday or beautiful long nails for special occasions or vacation time, Sheila always comes thru for me. No matter what color or design I come to her with, she creates it perfectly on my nails. And she has done an amazing job creating looks from her own imagination that I'm always proud to wear. Came from Winnipeg looking for a place to do my nails and stumbled across Haute Nails on Instagram. Sheila is very accommodating about staying later to get me in. The salon is very modern and chic inside. So far my nails have been amazing. Absolutely love the shape everytime and she always gets the style I want on point. Haute nails has been my go-to nail salon since last summer. This is the best salon ive been to. Its so posh with leather seats and marble floors. You can even choose a movie off netflix to watch! The ladies here are super genuine and kind. They treat you like you are one of their friends. I love when i call and the owner Sheila knows me by my name. The nail work is by far the best. They can actually do whatever photo inspiration you bring in to them. Also, they sterilize their tools. Their prices are a bit higher (60 for a fill) but trust me, its worth it for the quality. Ive been to cheaper places and you can totally tell the quality difference. Thanks haute nails, for making me feel like one of the girls and doing a bomb job on my nails every time. My nails were super bumpy, not even at all, and quite frankly all different lengths. I personally won't be going back. I'm so clumsy with my nails and I always break them. Even though I'm very rough with my nails, this salon is the only one where my polish doesn't chip, it never lifts, the gems never come off, the shaping is always on point, and my nails still look nice! They carry all of the newest trends like holographic, chrome, different size gems, etc. It's pretty hard to come by a nail salon with this much detail and cleanliness. I love Haute Nails!! Read Less

The longest I've ever had gel nails on is 1 week, the ends always start lifting making its way to the center of my nail bed within the first week of getting them and then I eventually pull them off. I went and had my nails done by Sheila 2 weeks ago and I am impressed. No lifting AT ALL, I have even accidentally banged my nails real hard and they didn't break off. I've received many compliments on my nails and they look and feel real, Sheila did an excellent job. The salon itself is very chic and modern and most importantly super clean. Went here last week and really enjoyed it!! It is new and very pretty inside. It was clean and the staff did an excellent job on my mani--I feel like she was really focused on doing a great job! I've followed the owner (Sheila) around throughout the years as she's moved from one nail salon to the next, and now set up her own shop. I've been a loyal customer - I only allow Sheila to touch my nails because I don't trust anyone else - and even though I live in downtown Vancouver, I still make the trek out to her new salon to see her (takes me an hour to commute!) because the nails she does for me are second to none! I see Sheila more as a nail artist - she doesn't treat her job as a job; instead each set of nails she does is her work of art and it clearly shows! The first time I entered her salon, I was shocked at how bright, chic and modern it looked; it looked more like a spread from a décor magazine than a nail salon and I was impressed. More important than the aesthetics though was the fact that she offered me coffee or tea when I entered (this is definitely uncommon for nail salons). I happily took a coffee and she made it an iced one since the day was hot, how thoughtful! My favourite thing about seeing Sheila for my nails is that she is always very thorough. I am an avid cuticle picker/biter and she always manages to clean them up so much that even my husband notices how good my cuticles look when I come home! Something that I ADORE about Haute Couture and Sheila is that they're serious when it comes to hygiene; I noticed that all the nail supplies she used came packaged in a sterilized pouch! How awesome is that? I have yet to see this concept anywhere else and I'm impressed!When it comes to the nails, Sheila offers several shapes for your nails (including the trendy "claws" and "coffin" styles) but I opted for a classic slightly rounded shape as I was going to a wedding. One week later, my nails are still going strong - no chips, just pure glossy gorgeous nails and sooo many people at the wedding commented on my gorgeous nails! I don't typically like designs or 3D art on my nails but I've seen Sheila's work on other girls and it's to die for!! If that's your thing, absolutely ask Sheila for it because she is a true nail artist. Regarding the review below regarding music vs television playing on the tv, when I asked Sheila to change the music for me, she promptly did, so don't be afraid to ask her to change to music if it'll make you more comfortable! I find Sheila extremely accommodating to her customers' needs and she'll even stay late for you, which I love. She personally stayed to do my shellac manicure and did a great job. She was very detail-oriented and made sure I was happy with the finished product. Sanitation is H...UGE when it comes to nail salons. Haute Nails does a fantastic job with maintaining a high standard of sanitation. Their tools are all sterilized and packaged separately. They also give clients their own disposal nail filers and buffers. I was really impressed with the choice I was presented with for shellac polish colours. I find that a lot of nail salons have a very limited selection. Here, they had hundreds of different colours to choose from. The owner also mentioned that she was able to do a "matte finish" for any colour.
