It was horrible experience i went there for waxing and they burn my skin so bad, she did a terrible job, during the session she keep repeating she has 20 years of experience, and sadly i couldn’t see that experience at all, she leaves hairs everywhere, and marks all over my legs, this was 2 weeks ago and i can still see the burn marks in my legs, i did my nails too and i think they use the cheapest material ever because my nails felt it 1 week, i will never recommend this place!!! I went in for a pedicure. There were pieces of floating "stuff" in the basin. When I alerted the nail person she said it was from the bath salts..except she had not added any. I had to insist that she drain the water and clean the foot basin. Disgustingly dirty place. This was my first and last time. Only the hand nail person is bust bUT place is usually empty. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I made an appointment and came in looking forward to getting shellac done on both my nails and toes. My toes were done great, I appreciated the girl who did a nice clean thorough work on my feet. However, the manicure was a different story. The woman started to shape my nails and clean it as usual routines done by nail salons. At one point, she started cutting the skin around my nail (this is normal), however she cut too deep on my right middle finger that it started bleeding (this did not hurt) and it was bleeding quite a bit, like YOU CAN SEE THE BLOOD. I didn't comment on it and she didn't say anything either, I had figured she would've wipe it off and what not, but nope, no apologies and for sure didn't wipe it off because as the process went on (I should've commented but I was seeing what she would do) she straight out finished applying the polish on and shoved my hand into the light to bond the polish (it was shellac), WHILE THE BLOOD WAS STILL THERE. And of course the blood dried up. I had to go home myself and clean it off, and it took more than just casually wiping it gently with a warm cloth, I had to scrub my own blood off my darn finger. In addition to all that, she left MIDWAY into my manicure to go help a friend who WALKED IN. Like she took her friend to the back to do a facial or something I don't even know but her excuse to me was that the lady who walked in had an appointment. Hello?? So did I? Called yesterday to book appointment for eyelash extensions. Appointment time 3pm today, showed up at the spa and the person doing the lashes wasn't there. Waited 30mins and then asked to speak to Fiona on the phone. Appointment was not confirmed and I tried reaching you repeatedly. I have voicemail, no message left. Asked her if she was coming, she said no. Walked out and I will not go back. Disappointed that I was not told I would get a confirmation call and that Fiona made me feel like it was my fault. I went to trix to get an acrylic fill. I booked an appointment and arrived 10 minuets earlier. I sat there for a half an hour before I was even given the colour options. Most of the women seemed quiet rude and weren't very friendly. When I was finally seated the woman did not talk to me at all besides to ask me what shape I wanted (which she didn't listen to anyway) and she spent half of the appointment on her phone. Then I was given the most painful manicure of my life. I pointed out more then once that the drill was burning my nails and I was ignored. She was so rough with the drills and files that I almost told her to stop and almost walked out. After the shaping was over with I figured it would be fine from there. Over 3 hours after the appointment was over my nails were still not dry and dented. I have gotten regular nail polish at other salons and never have they not used a uv light or not let them properly dry. over all this was the worst nail experience I have ever had. Read Less

Not clean. Nothing was sanitized, and not hot towels. Staff was complaining about her job and work place TO ME. Old product. Liquid inside of gel polish bottle was so thick, they had to bring a new brush to apply the colour on nails cuz it was too thick. And the staff told me I picked a difficult colour to put on! I have always had a good experience going there. My nail tech is Sally. She provides great service and really invests her time to ensure they turn out perfect. The prices are reasonable. Just had a mani/pedi special ($38) today. I have a toenail issue (pincer nail) that I felt has held me back from getting my nails done. My daughter bought the special for me for my birthday and it ended up really great! There were some issues as only myself or podiatrist can cut my nails but the end result was awesome! I feel my feet are pretty for the first time in a long time! I can go away on my European vacation feeling awesome! Although the nail technician was a tad insensitive saying I should see a doctor (which I already do - podiatrist), it was still a positive experience. I got a haircut at Trix because my hairstylist, Helen, has moved to this location. This location is clean and just as convenient as the previous location. Of course, Helen never failed to impress me with her hair cutting techniques. I have long hair and I didn't have to bring in any pictures (but they do help if you want something more specific). Helen knew what I wanted and layered my hair to frame my face. I am especially particular about my bangs, and had to fix it myself after getting haircuts by other hairstylist. With Helen, I am content enough not having to fix it further, not to mention that she is also very pleasant to talk to. The other side of the room is for mani/pedi, which I am tempted to try as well the next time I have a haircut because all the equipment seems fairly new and clean. Read Less

What is the point in taking appointments when you're just going to take walk ins during my service? I haven't had a lot of experience with manicures and pedicures but I would still give this place an average mark.  Firstly,  I checked in with yelp to get the special but they said it's only for touch ups or repaint jobs... Even though it just states $20 shellac polish... Not very clear info.  They have a $38 mani/pedi deal on tue/weds.  I wanted shellac for my hand so they told me $15 but later my friend asks for the same but only gets charged 10. Turns out it was because mine was a french (which I didn't actually ask for nor did the lady ask me what I wanted when she started) and my friend just got shellac colour. She was quick and at first It looked like a job well done but I noticed bubbling and a piece of thread on a couple nails. She also didn't shape it as well as I expected  from a professional. Are they supposed  to paint all the way to the cuticles ? Cause mine's not... If I knew the steps and had the equipment I think I could have done this.The pedicure lady was much nicer and did a great job on my toe nails. I only wish she did a better job scrubbing my heels.  Didn't use the heavy duty scraper my friend got. Basically I do better job at home when I have the time. One lady was also quite pushy.  Trying to get my friend's little sister to get a manicure too.  Asked her several times even tried to bribe her with a free flower design on her toe if she got a mani too.  Won't try this place again if there are better deals around town. So the bf, friend and I decided to get pampered and get our mani and pedi's done. We noticed their awesome massage chairs so we walked in without appointments. At the time, all 3 ladies that worked there were with someone but they said it was ok. This was one of the worst manicures I ever had.  I went in with nails and had them clipped (not filed) so short  they look terrible.  Also I was supposed to have a French manicure along with the shellac (according to the coupon I had purchased) but the manicurist told me it wouldn't look nice because my nails were too short - this was after she had cut them so short.  I told her I had had French manicures before but she just ignored me and told me to choose a color.   I had already paid for it so I chose a color.  The shellac job was fair.  Even so  I could have done a better job myself.  I don't recommend this place. Please do not go here for any hand nail work. I went to get a simple fill on my acrylic nails. I instead left with a bleeding thumb( that has now turned into an infection) but the women who did my nails obviously had either just learned or watched someone how to do it and then went ahead and tried it out on my nails.  I wrote them to complain and never even so much as got a apology. This is one of the 4 new nail places just opened up since March 2011 in Richmond city centre. It was doing opening 10% off, and I went in to have manicure done. Owned by Vietnamese but there is a Caucasian esthetician gal. She was very gentle and has wonderful skills. My manicure was done perfectly- clean cuticles, and all nails painted nicely.
