I am usually not picky about nail places but seriously Starlit Nails IS THE WORSE. I went in for a quick acrylic remove and during the 30 minutes I was there, the lady bashed the other nail bar that I previously got my acrylics done at. Not only did that seem rude SHE RUINED MY NAILS. Two of my nails are internally bruised because she tried to TEAR OFF my acrylics. Not the whole layer was taken off, only the colouring while SOME PARTS ARE STILL ATTACHED TO MY FINGER. I told her several times that it was hurting and I even had to take my hand away from her because it was painful. THE LADY KEPT GOING WITH THE SAME METHOD AND BLAMED THE OTHER NAIL BAR FOR THEIR ACRYLIC SET. She used so much strength to tear my acrylics off that she even made dents into my actual nail(the while lines you see in the photo). No, you don't do that. Last but not least, she scratched my pinky so bad that it started bleeding, she didn't stop the bleeding or disinfect it, SHE JUST SAID "oh I didn't do anything, it's because your acrylic set is bad that's why" THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. THIS PLACE IS HONESTLY SO BAD THAT I AM SO FRUSTRATED AND REALLY MAD. Read Less

My nails always look great when I leave here and the nail techs are friendly. There are plenty of colors to choose from. I'd give it five stars except for I've scheduled an appointment then showed up and was told that I did not have an appointment. Also, I've called during business hours and no one answered on multiple occasions. I recently sat waiting for a half hour when I was the only person there at 10am. If I had a choice to put zero stars I would but unfortunately no option for that. I went in for a pedi and before she started I told her not to file down my big toes because I had already shaped them so guess what she did she decided to cut the nail on my big toes so I asked her why did you do that when I said not to touch them in the first place and I made myself clear and she replied they werent even to make up for her mistake long story short she didn't listen to me she went ahead and did What she thought looks better im the customer hello...so I was very upset and one of the other ladies said she was evenning out your nail why are you mean I said because she didnt listen to what I wanted I was so upset I didnt want the pedi anymore and than they had the audacity to say you need to pay for the nail polish that we removed thats all she did and oh yeah cut my nail and totally ruin my the shape I said I'm not paying and i left ! And on top of that they were being so bitchy to me giving me attitude dont ever go to starlit I don't recommend this place to anyone I don't even know how there still in bussiness im pretty sure im not the first disappointed customer ...in short they are horrible horrible tearable service Read Less

I have been going here for almost a year to have my nails done. I love the work, and until recently the people for the most part. This last time, I went in for a full set. I went in in a Monday, which I've done before. I was informed that the only person who can do a full set wasn't available til around 3pm that day. I was told that I was welcome to schedule an appointment or wait. I came in a noon, I informed them I couldn't come later that day. I have never had an issue as... a walk in. I was told, well that's the chance you take. Next time you should just schedule an appointment. Not one time that I've been going here, have I ever basically been turned away. I have always come in as a walk in and until now, never had an issue. I felt I was not spoken to in the most professional manner, and I felt I was being pushed out the door cause I didn't have an appointment. I was disappointed in the whole experience. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible! Decided to come here last minute despite all the negative reviews, because I needed my nails done urgently. I called in the morning and booked an appointment for the afternoon that day to get a shellac manicure and pedicure. The service was meh, but I'm used to that at many nail salons. Most places (unless they are high end, or located in yaletown or something), the service is usually rushed, and their motive seems to be to just get the job done quickly and move on to the next customer. So I really have no issue with the service here.What I'm disappointed about is how long (or short should I say) my nails lasted. It's only been 3 days and my nails already started cracking and the nail polish starting peeling off. Usually shellac lasts for 2 weeks minimum. It's only been THREE days! I paid $80 including tips to get his done, and it only lasted me a few days. I could have bought a regular nail polish at shoppers, and did them myself, and it would even last longer than these 'professionally' done nails. Really a disappointment, especially having paid almost a hundred bucks for these. Will definitely not recommend. Read Less

I've been going to the same place for years in Vancouver finally found a place in Richmond but they're always busy. Can't hate them cuz they're good. I walked passed this place, Starlit Nails and thought I should give them a try. I was not disappointed. The girls are not as chatty which is fine. They're pleasant and very polite. Polish they used was nice and doesn't peel back after a week. Over all my manicure was done really well. They have an awesome promo in Monday's for shellac so go there and get a good shellac mani for a decent price!Read Less

Love this place! They rock my acrylic manicure every time. And they actually listen when i say short and pointy because most places refuse to go as short as i like. Made and confirmed an appointment days ago. When I get to the store it's closed. I call them twice but no answer. I wait for ten minutes but they are still closed. I call again and still no answer. I finally left. They never even bothered to call me either even though they have my number from the booking. What a joke. Read Less

I made an appointment to get a gel manicure and gel pedicure. I always show up 10-15 minutes before an appointments. There hours are open at 10am. I come around 10am and the store is closed, lights off. I wait till around 10:20am, no one still there. When they finally show up at 10:45am they didn't even apologize for being late. I asked if they do chrome nail, and they said yes. I showed pictures how I wanted it to be silver. When it came to applying the "chrome powder" it was just very tiny mica reflects not chrome what so ever. I have gotten chrome before and it should magically change from powder to the shiny reflective tin foil look. She also did an absolutely horrible job applying it near my cuticle. Once the gel dried it starts to peel back because of all the layers. Do not believe them, also she kept changing her mind with prices for the chrome add on. First she said $5 for 2 fingers. Then $10 for all fingers, then I ended up having to pay $20 extra for basically glitter nails. Read Less

I went to Starlit without an appointment for a pedi and mani, and they seated me right away. I got regular polish for my toes and gel nails for my hands.  The mani and pedi included a short massage so that was a nice addition to the whole experience. They had sanitary, one-time use flip flops for the pedi unlike most salons in Richmond BC. The quality of the mani and pedi was pretty good and the price was great, $57 before tips. This is including everything I listed above so it is pretty reasonable. Read Less
