Grace Collins, one of the junior stylists at Salon Juniper, has done my hair numerous times and I always leave feeling beautiful. She is my go-to hairdresser, and will be for the foreseeable future. She offers wonderful conversation, a relaxed and comfortable environment and gorgeous results. Over the course of my time visiting Grace, she has taken my hair from being horribly box dyed to being a beautiful bright blonde. She somehow has found a way to maintain my length within reason (generally in my experience, going blonder means going SIGNIFICANTLY shorter) despite my hair's fragility. With other stylists, I usually have to go home, rewash and restyle my hair for it to feel right, but with Grace I always leave feeling my best. On top of the hair, she has an incredibly professional demeanor and handles every situation with tact. I had my hair done by Grace Collins and I could not be any happier with the results. I have nightmare hair - It has been box dyed for nearly 10 years and has been pretty much every color under the sun. When I came in, my hair was patchy (orange, yellow, brown) and incredibly damaged after visiting a stylist at another salon. My goal was to stay blonde, if at all possible, while getting my hair back to one color. Not only did she manage to even out my color, but she achieved the most FLAWLESS blend by giving me the tiniest little baby highlights with more care than I have ever received from another stylist. She handled my fragile hair perfectly, allowed me to keep most of my length and most importantly, she made me leave feeling HAPPY with not only my appearance, but the experience as well. Terrible. Went for a pedicure. The girl was nice, but seemed to have no experience. My polish ended up smudged and badly fixed and doesn't look like I had a pedicure done at all. I could've done a better job myself and would'n have to pay $50.00. Will not go back. Read Less

You're looking at a girl who never does anything to her hair. I didn't get my hair fully cut since April 2015. I went to Grace for a balayage and cut and oh my god it's amazing. My hair feels amazingly soft, she's an amazing conversationalist, and does wonders to your hair. Whatever you want, she'll do it. I had an amazing time at Salon Juniper today. I needed to have my roots done and my hair tends to go really light after a colour. Kadan took the time to ask me questions about what I like when it comes to colour and coverage as I am very grey. He made some suggestions explained them and then listened to me. There was no rush. At that point I was his only client and he gave me his full attention. Talk about pampering. It is an experience in itself. I would recommend to anyone. So happy!!!!Read Less

First review ever! Went for a haircut. Stylist didn't listen to me about what I wanted done and instead did what he wanted. It doesn't look good at all. Specifically said I wanted no face framing and a blunt look. I got a lot of layers and he thinned my hair. Very disappointed.Read Less

First off, let me say that I am very uptight about my hairstyle and precise about how I want it to be. That being said, I hardly ever change stylist once I know someone can do what I want. But!... I wen't on to get my haircut at Salon Juniper. The salon itself has a very clean and welcoming layout (not forgetting to add that the salon smells amazing filled with lovely Aveda products!), the people that work there are extremely friendly and I got comfortable very quickly! I got my hair done by Alissa and most recent cut by their new in-salon Barber, Kenny. They are both amazing and very talented! Salon Juniper was opened last October, adding a wonderful addition to the community of Steveston. I have been there for several appointments. Pedicures, facials, manicures as well as hair. The friendly and experienced staff gave me a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The Aveda concept as well as the exceptional quality and knowledge of their products is almost noticeable immediately . Their Rosemary mint conditioners, their massage creams, and other products I have persona...lly used are of quality and always complimented by others. While on holidays in the Caribean, my Aveda foundation, with a 15 spf, was a wonderful addition while in the sun or swimming in the ocean. Wearing my rehydrating lip glaze, Nourish-Mint replaced any and all lip balms, and personally looks and feels very moisturizing . My hair is noticeably healthy from my Aveda shampoo while my favourite Rosemary Mint conditioner adds nourishment and fragrance. Great for compliments too! Salon Juniper is young in its new business venture, but make no mistake their combined experience in the service industry as well as their outstanding Aveda line of many exceptional products will carry this Salon to an outstanding level of excellence and success in the months and years to come.
