Never come here for waxing!! I needed a quick arm wax and unfortunately I made the poor decision of coming to this nail salon. I called them to see if they can do certain nails for me and basically they can't speak English didn't understand me said they had a client and hung up on me. I asked if they have profiles online of their previous work and they don't. I'm not going to waste my time bringing in stones and have them practice on me and not be satisfied. I want them to take inspiration from my stones practice on nails that aren't on my hand and come back to see if I like it because they don't have pictures of the previous work online. I've been going to Lexi nails for close to 8 years I believe. I  literally have tried every nail shop there is in Richmond & there is a reason that I stayed with this one. The one thing I like about this place is that as soon as you walk in; you aren't stared at by every worker in the shop without a hello. As soon as you enter , SOMEBODY will greet you, even if the person is far back in the shop. I'm not sure why at every other shop you enter every worker in the shop just stops & stares at you without saying a word. Besides that! Every lady in there is friendly! Even if they are not working on you, they will acknowledge you with a smile, or a hello. For me, customer service is huge! Besides that, I always leave happy no matter whom does my nails. They always listen to you & do what YOU want; not what they WANT. If it is something out of the norm I ask for;  I am told why it would not be a good idea to do such, but they will still do it. The shop owner Vivian is very friendly & knows how to run a business. Her employees are wonderful people & they take their time even if it is close to closing.  They never turn people away even if they walk in very close to closing; nor rush them. The shop is clean & implements are thoroughly sanitized ; little things like  that are not commonly practiced elsewhere. I'm surprised to read negative reviews about this shop at all! But sometimes people are just miserable in general and the way they write their review clearly shows such. So, do yourself a favor and go there to see how great of an atmosphere it is; don't listen to the crap reviews. :) Read Less

The owner and staff has been so accommodating.I usually find: MICHAEL, VIVIAN OR ELAINE!Quality of work is excellent and they try to accommodate your request on how you want your nails done , also make good recommendations.I just wished they have rewards system for repeat clients or discounts or promotions form time to time.But all in all I'm happy with their service! I've been going here for 4 years, no exaggeration. Only based on the fact that I live down the street and it doesn't take much to get an appointment but they are SO inconsistent. Sometimes I hate my nails and sometimes I really like them but going in you never know what you're going to get. They also told me they couldn't do ombré nails but later I found out that they could they just don't like to because it takes longer (RIDICULOUS) another thing that really made me mad was the fact that once I asked for them to cut my cuticles and they didn't charge me and the next time she told me it was ten dollars just because she was in a hurry and didn't wanna do it. The first pedicure was meh. The 2nd pedicure I had there was great, she could massage really well. I had a gel manicure, but as the nail grew out, they started chipping at the top... I actually really like this place. But I only like going to get my pedicure done by BRENDA. She's thorough and careful; it's been 2 weeks and my feet still looks great... no chipping. The only issue i have with this place is the waiting. If you don't make an appointment you'll have to wait... for a while. But that happens in any mani-pedi place. mixed feelings....I dont like it when they do manicures while Im getting a  pedicure at the same time , I feel like they are rushing me.They do a good job but today the girl doing my manicure used the sander to take off my shellac and it basically hurt and Im sure its not good for my nails.An older lady beside me got a pedicure and was just waiting for her toes to dry and her pedicurist took of the toe spacers and put it on my pedicurists station.  I saw this and asked my pedicurist for a different set and she nodded but while my manicure was getting done on the side with another lady , she slipped those used toe spacers onto my feet......... I was disgusted but I didnt say anything.. I picked this spa because it was the cheapest place I could find by far for acrylics nails. For the price, it's not too bad. I found that some of my nails had different shape, and my nail technician seemed a bit careless. Overall, I might give it a second chance because I still love my nails. :) Read Less

Loving the full sets they do here. Shape and quality is always on point. The girls are really good at pedicures. I would say when u find the right nail tech then stick with her! We came in with an appointment for 3 pedicures and manicures at 1:00pm. After being ignored for 15 mins, they let us know that they had 3 seats available however they were nowhere near each other.  We opted to wait.  After waiting for approximately 30 mins two of us got started while the third had to wait another 20 mins before anyone attended her.  The work itself was fine and the pricing is very reasonable, however having to sit there for 2 hours for a pedicure and manicure (they even made me air dry) and watching others wait for nearly 45 mins before anyone attended to them left a bad taste in my mouth.  My recommendation is to only go here if you have a full day to waste Read Less

i went here purely because it's the closest to my house but i don't think i'll return again. i've tried it a couple of times and i'm just not impressed.it's mediocre. i most recently got my nails done towards the end of january and i wish i had taken a photo of the nails i ended up with. i asked for one colour over top of my gel nails, and she put on the wrong one; when i said i wanted another, she became a bit standoffish, like i had somehow inconvenienced her. when i got home i realized a couple were crooked and the fill didn't even cover my entire nail! you know how your nails look when a couple of weeks has passed? that's what mine looked like 20 minutes after i got out of the salon.she also said to me afterwards that my nails were "difficult." cool story bro, that doesn't mean you get to skimp out on them.i find that the staff is a bit challenging to understand and deal with. also, they don't appear to sterilize any of their equipment, which i'm not down with. just go elsewhere, please. Went in out of the location convenience as I knew I could get the same thing for cheaper somewhere in Vancouver, but I'm glad I went here. The cost was average for my gel nails shaped into a coffin shape and painted matte grey (55+ tax+ tip) But i really liked how my nails turned out, and like how the manicurist always checked with me and asked if I was pleased with the shape every so often that she was Buffing and shapping, with out me having to point out flaws feeling annoying. I made an appointment for gel nails with extensions because there was a 10% off graduation special.I'm a little confused because I specifically asked for gel nails and the lady did two of my nails with acrylic before I reminded her. She said she did acrylic because it would be cheaper for me (not sure if she was assuming I didn't have money, or if she was genuinely trying to help me save money), but i insisted on gel. I also asked for them to push/cut my cuticles and they said they'd do it after, and they never did.As I'm looking at my nails now, some areas (like near the un-pushed cuticle and sides) have less gel and the colour looks streaky/faded there. The extensions I got were cut and filed a bit unevenly as well. Everyone seemed rushed there, even though there weren't too many customers waiting.~$55 was my total including tax and tip. I might come back here with more specific requests (I suggest you do the same if you come here) as the girls don't speak English too well and are a bit difficult to communicate with. Read Less

First time I went, was quite possible the best mani/pedi I've ever had. She spent a lot of time and took a great deal of care and pride in her work. I'd have given them 4/5 for that experience. Went this week and it was quite possible one of the worse mani/pedis. My nails started chipping on Day 2 - and I have not cleaned or washed dishes...etc. There's no excuse for this - 1/5 stars for sure. It was hurried and they really did take very much care on the work they did. It totally depends on who you get and what day you go (my second experience was during their Tuesday special). I have gone a few times depends who u get .  I go to the same person wen I make an appointment or walk in as she's worth the wait.  What I really liked about the place was how clean ,organized & well kept . Recently however it's been looking untidy & the girls there can't communicate properly with the customers.  Don't go for any type of waxing not very clean the room is way too small & stuffyThe Owner is very polite well mannered smiles at everyone who walks in. Just don't! TRUST ME!! Go somewhere else! I don't want anyone to get infected and have awful negative experience! Yes their prices are good and convenient location BUT I just learned their "behind the scenes today"I came here several times, for nails and eyebrows. I honestly never liked the spa its so hard to understand the people there, but its so close to my house and easy when I go there! BUT now I learned the truth they are so bad!!1.) unhygienic! Gross, if u go for a wax, thread or anything they are gonna put you on table just with towels where someone else has been! What if their naked butt was there! Theres dead skins on the towels no thank you! I was getting lash extensions and they put on the table and i'm like "please put a sheet on top"Also they do double dipping I've seen it! A person could have someone genitals germs on their face! Since they double dip! Same wax was used! Ewwww2.) So disorganized! They take anyone in! Even if you made an appointment, you might not even getting that time slot! 3.) Horrible horrible communication its like what are u saying? Today I had to wait 20 minutes for my appointment! Later it was my first time getting professional eyelash extensions done so my eyes were not use to them, they honestly needed a couple minutes to adjust and then they will be comfortable. The lady saw my eyes watery and was like this isnt good for you! I'm like what exactly are you trying to do maybe i can stick the tape under my eyelids! And then she did not understand and I'm like I will do it because I was feeling very uncomfortable! Shes like okay and she left the room! I actually needed her to assist me because I wasn't sure, she comes back 10 minutes back and shes like oh u hve to stick them like this and leaves again! Finally im so clueless whats going on and then she comes back and I had enough! I ranted about how unprofessional she is, and she was like I was doing some clients nails I had to put the colour on! Its like wtf? Im here with my eyelids wide open and you're just helping someone else. She gave me a hug and I forgave her. But then later in the treatment, They grab ur neck without any gentleness to move to side. Also they don't make you feel comfortable! Ewww she didnt even wash her hands when shes is moving in out of the room and she touched my eyes!She used tape, to tape my eyelids all because she didn't have the patient to allow my eyes to just water for a bit.
