I was going into this place looking forward to get a manicure, but was very disappointed with the outcome as many things were wrong. After getting my nails cut, I get my cuticles push back, except the person who I got was working on two clients at once when other employees were just sitting there going on their phones; she only pushed one side of my cuticles back. After this I thought oh it’s just a careless mistake. When she started to apply my nail polish, she got it all over two of my fingers and when she was trying to peel it off, she was trying to scratch it off so hard it felt like my skin was about to rip off, and until then she didn’t even get the nail polish off. I then proceed to get a matte finisher which I had to pay more for, and not only did it have air bubbles, it was also yellow and barely matte. I highly don’t recommend this place. Read Less

Do not go here!! This salon is dirty and way overpriced for its sub par quality. I have been here a few times as it is close to where I work, but it just seems to get worse and worse. Rating with NO stars at all. Couldn't post with a star not highlighted, SO THAT 1 STAR WAS FORCED. Helen, THE OWNER charged my mom TWICE in the amount of $35. In return, Helen "refunded" my mom in a form of their gift certificate. According to Helen, as an exemption, IT WOULDN'T EXPIRE. Till then my mom totally forgot about the gift certificate she had from Helen due to moving houses and in time got busy. Having said that, the gift certificate was misplaced until she found it months after moving. She then decided to give it to me as she doesn't plan to go back there and since because I’ve never been to this (eventually TOXIC) place, I thought of giving this place a try. When I got to the salon, I presented to Helen the gift certificate I had in hand and according to her the gift certificate was already expired. Prior to knowing Helen's and my mom's agreement of the GC not expiring, I accepted their offer to me of giving me a 50% discount for me to become their regular client, have a good experience, and to come back *PUKES* And out of courtesy, I wouldn't *JUST* want to go there for the GC and leave with nothing cos business is business. I got their shellac service WITHOUT manicure that costed me to pay them $20 even (after the 50% discount). Upon coming home, I told my mom about my experience and to my surprise she told me that the GC doesn't expire as per their agreement! She then started getting frustrated as (so not) Awesome nails owed her another $35 and returned in the form of GC. Mom went back to (SO NOT) Awesome Nails to clarify what happened and now Helen started making up things and numbers such as me only paying $12 having to owe them $21 more and she said the gift card she gave was only $30. ALL LIES. She kept changing the numbers from me paying $15 to $12 and vice versa. She wants to give us back only $10 from the $30 she overcharged my mom. She’s accusing me of not understanding what she was trying to explain like BRUH literally don’t have time in the world to argue with her as she kept making up random stories. NEVER DO BUSINESS with her. Rude is even an understatement with the service she gave us today. Plus their rates are way more expensive than OTHER Nail salon's with even BETTER service. Read Less

I asked for a full set of acrylics and the lady who did them for me did a rush job. I asked for an oval shape with a bit of a sharp tip at the ends and she gave me something that looks like a ducks beak. I ended up going home and filing for about an hour to get the shape I wanted. The colour was cute but she wasn't too careful with the application and on the sides there at some holes. I am a bit of a perfectionist and so I noticed that they are not straight and slightly crooked. I was charged $47 after tax... yes that's right. :(!! Read Less

I just got my nails done by Hanna (not sure about spelling). I got simple Shellac colour on my hands. My nails were very short (I peel). I am amazed at the exceptional job she did. My nails look amazing. She was very gentle with me and also very polite. I am definitely coming to her again Read Less

Went to get a pedicure and acrylic nails done. Waited 10 minutes in chair without any water to soak the feet. The foot lady was good. Cant say the same for the nail lady. She was on the phone while doing my nails. Very unprofessional and they all speak in their language. While doing my nails one of their "regulars" came in because her nail fell off, so she said to me 1 minute to tend to her and used the same buffer she used on my nails on her because it was already in her hand. Very unsanitary. This place is GHETTO. Do not come here. Instead of feeling treated and happy I felt gross grungy and just disgusted. At the end of the day your hands and feet so your call. Bad customer service.Wanted to use a electric filer to file down my existing shellac, I kindly asked to use the file only and she mumbled that it will take too long.And when she started to shape my nails she said my nails are long and narrow and curve underneath making it too hard for her to make it square shape.Maybe you shouldn't be in the nail business. Went there couple times and the last two visits were very disappointing. That same lady did my nails for my last two visits and I will not go back again because she was very careless when both filing my nails and trimming the cuticle. My skin got peeled by the nail file and she cut my cuticle way too deep and it bled. Most of all, she did not apologize and charged me 5 bucks for a chipped nail happened on the next day. Read Less

I usually come to this place to get my nails done. For my most recent visit, I had gel nails done before the lunar new year. The lady did a good job on the manicure and painting the coats. She was very very nice and socialable. But for some reason, my polish already started chipping on the third day and it eventually started to peel off too.. I've been to this establishment multiple times before with different staff/owners of course. They were so nice, clean, had great customer service, and open to corrections. This new place is horrible. Never going back there.Where do I start: -She rushed my manicure in-between clients-She cut my nails so bloody short (shorter than I had asked for)-Instead of opening a new nail polish; they just added more thinner-The application was worse than an 4 year old, and she did not fix it.-When I asked her to clean it up she angrily dug her nails in to clean the edges.-Blamed me for the bubbles that had formed on my nails. These were weird air-bumps that were caused by the nail polish being overly thinned and application process being juvenile.-Instead of fixing the problem, she and another employee just put heaps of top coat over the mistake; and kept saying 'top coat fix it'-To end it all she then used the same manicure set that she used on me with another person-She spoke about me in Vietnamese to other staff when I asked her to fix the problem-And finally rushed me out saying my nails were dry when they weren't!!!!!Never will I ever go back to these guys again! The Pedi I got was average.  Not the best, but it was good enough for what you pay.They did make a little wee error on one toe, but still, taking care of your feet is important.  So you have to do this once in awhile to keep up appearances.  I'd come back again, but I'm still on the hunt for that perfect place.  It was nice that I was able to just walk in and get it done. The hygiene and service here is appaling. They reuse nail files and tools without sterilizing between clients. The woman who painted my French tips did a terrible job; she blamed imperfections in my nails for causing the appearance of white smears in the polish (the smears were in fact streaks of paint, not "bubbles" in my nail). When she tried to "fix" the problem, she ground so deeply into my nail with the Dremel tool that she nearly reached my nailbed in an attempt to patch the paint, rather than removing all the polish and starting over properly. Furthermore, her cuticle trimming resulted in bleeding, which has never happened to me before. A different person had to redo her work. Finally, the workers talk abusively about their clients amongst themselves in Vietnamese (they were not aware that one of the women in my group was Vietnamese; she heard them refer to her as an animal and complain about tips). This is why they ask most Asian-looking women who enter the salon if they are Vietnamese. Not impressed at all. Read Less

There is nothing against this place to not give it full stars! I called ahead to see if they would have space for me just after noon on a Thursday and they said they could accommodate me. I arrived and they sat me right away. I had initially only wanted a pedicure but opted for the mani/peni combo instead. I had Kelly working on my toes while Tina did my french manicure. EXCELLENT job on both my hands and feet. Both ladies were very friendly but not overly talkative. I'd go back in a heart beat. Read Less
