This review is regarding to Heidi Zabel, the hairstylist of Rachel's Esthetics. Heidi rents a chair at the salon. I met her a few weeks after I moved to the Island, late October 2017. I found her as a good hairstylist and also fast. That's what kept me with her for 3 sessions. However, I was noticing things that ended my visits with Heidi. 1. Inconsistency in her rates. For the same treatment I was always paying different price. And each and every time higher one 2. Dishonesty about the products; She would not tell me what she uses on my hair. The most I got what the company name, but never the exact formula. After I left her, I asked numerous times to get the formula of the base she used on my hair. No answer. Considering, I was a paying customer and not allowed to know what was used on my hair is almost unbelievable. 3. Charging high price for something that doesn't work; Heidi put "touch of lavender" color on my freshly bleached hair, charged $150 and the color was gone after the first rinse and I use high end hair products. I left for a vacation shortly after the session, so I sent her an email about my dissatisfaction, being detailed about it, but Heidi never replied, 4. Unprofessional attitude; Heidi told me (during my last visit) that Rachel and her like to gossip (!?). It was concerning the locations they recently changed; Heidi said, the previous place was better for gossiping... I was stunned with this comment, because I never lived in a small town and I had not interest to be part of women's rumors. I am, in my decades of entering different hair stylist in different cities and countries, first time very unhappy with Heidi's service. I spoke to her prior to this review about everything that is being written here. And repeatedly I asked about the hair color brand / formula. No direct answer. Leaving Heidi has one amazingly positive side; finding a fantastic hairstylist that has professionalism, skills and passion. I'd travel miles to have my hair done by her. Read Less
