Rachel appears to have years of experience having been in the microblading business for quite some time now. Her Instagram posts are loaded with photos and work that I was actually fairly impressed with. She is a friendly gal but that's business etiquette aside. She works out of a stand alone salon in Pitt Meadows called Sour Apple, mind you her website doesn't mention she's located inside a salon. So the first appointment already left us lost not knowing that it was an actual beauty and hair salon that we were supposed to be looking for. I made the mistake of referring a family member and I felt horrible after the poor customer service we were given after the first appointment. There was no invitation for additional questions post procedure. No take home instructions and no follow up was made. Questions and concerns post procedure is VERY clearly unwelcome and deterred, since provided that there is NO way you can possibly reach this woman over the phone. The day of my referral's touch up appointment, Rachel was working from her "Kits" location (a rental room smaller than a 500sqft downtown condo). There was a mix up in address location, but GET THIS! Who do you call to clarify and coordinate?!?! Without a reachable phone number....YOU CAN'T. It frazzles me how even when I called the salon in Pitt Meadows, they refused to give me Rachel's direct phone number. I had to communicate back and forth with the receptionist who had to call her on her own separately. So imagine this, I call the salon, the salon hangs up, the salon girl calls Rachel, the salon girl then calls me back, salon girl goes ok let me ask her, hangs up on me, then 5 mins later calls me back, now repeat a few more times. OK! Now if reading this didn't already annoy you....try being in MY shoes!!! I have my own business also but this back and forth, lack of efficiency already drove me up the wall. I don't have the leisure to play "telephone" Β I mean...you're a business correct? People are paying you for a service correct? And we aren't talking chump change. For a $600 microblading appointment, I expected far more professionalism than this. Not only did I feel bad for my referral left standing outside on the block circling in the rain but I was thoroughly EMBARRASSED that I had ever recommended BrowBabe to anyone. My referral was left walking around the block for 45mins before I was able to reach Rachel over EMAIL!!!! She responded everything over EMAIL!!! Finally several emails after, the proper address was clarified, turns out it was in some tiny room on the second floor she rents with no signage whatsoever. I understand the need to separate personal life from your work life when you run your own business. If you don't want your personal phone number shared, then use an additional phone as your business line but it's never...NEVER acceptable not be available for your clients when they need to reach you. Rachel simply doesn't care for her clients the way she should. Microblading artistry is gaining so much popularity over the last few years, she's definitely not amazing enough to compensate for the poor customer service and care....most of all the lack of direct contact information availability.
