I decided to give Runaway Bay a try based on previous positive reviews and the convenient location.  I came in for the Classic Pedicure.From the get go, I was a little confused.  There wasn't typical pedicure chairs with a tub to soak your feet in.  Rather, you're leaning back in one of those spa chairs while the pedicurist works on your feet towards the end of the chair.  This wasn't a problem at all, just something I had never seen before and is totally understandable based on the size of the place.The pedicure itself, was a bit underwhelming.  I don't go for pedicures regularly (every 8 weeks or more even, versus the recommended 4 to 6 weeks).  The pedicurist didn't file the skin on my feet at all.  She started straight away on the nails and didn't even ask what shape I wanted my nails to be.  The nail colour I chose was a bit translucent and it would have been better if another coat of polish was painted on top.  I'm not sure if she was in a rush or something because the nail polish was pooled around the cuticles and some of it was even on my toes.  I would have preferred if she had painted more coats with thinner polish than one coat with excess polish.  Overall, the experience was average.  I definitely expected more as the pricing is similar to places in Downtown and Yaletown where I definitely would have gotten a longer lasting polish and more thorough service.  The ladies working there were nice enough though. All off the staff are lovely-- warm and welcoming. Top notch service with high end products. I went for a pedicure, which was amazing, and I had been suffering from a rash on my face. The wonderful lady that was working on my feet also had a look at the issue on my skin and used this amazing moisturizer on it to help with the redness.
