I have been a client of Paul and Mary for many years now. Both of them never fail to please my nail needs. Mary is awesome at her job and you can tell she does nails as a passion. There was this one time she had overcharged me $5 without me noticing. The moment I stepped out of the salon and drove home, I received three missed phone calls from Mary telling me that she by accidentally overcharged me and will save me a $5 credit. Being busy with school and work, I wasn't able to return to get my nails done for over two months. After the two months I had returned and of course I forgot about my credit and she still remembered to pass it on to me! Mary is super caring and I see myself returning many more times. I wouldn’t give this place a star at all. I had a pedicure and a manicure, both shellac done prior to my trip to Europe for three weeks. The nails literally all peeled off by day 3 and my toes lasted all of a week - paid over 100 dollars and had to ask the MANAGER of the store to slow down as she could have cared less of the job she was doing. She did not shape them or file them... she only cared about getting people into appointments as fast as possible and would answer the phone literally every three minutes while doing my nails. This was a trip of a lifetime and for a friends wedding so to say I was disappointed is an understatement!! OMG! My experience here was nothing but positive. They fit me in last minute and when I showed up asking for even more services, they had no problem. The staff was extremely friendly and I was nothing but impressed with my nails when they were finished. The color selection was pretty extensive too. First time coming here and I'll definitely return! Called and made an appointment for a pedicure. Got there 15 minutes early and they set up a seat for me to soak my feet while I waited. During my pedicure the lady (sadly I never got her name) was very gentle and kept making sure I was comfortable and happy with how it looked.I fortunately was also able to get a manicure and decided to get acrylics for the first time ever. I told her I had never gotten them before and again she was super sweet making sure I was comfortable, and made sure each nail was to my liking.From what I could tell, all the other clients were regulars but I was treated just as kindly. The staff was super friendly, didn't charge me any tax, and they were even playing my favourite movie so that's another bonus!I love how my nails look and will definitely come back here next time! I would have given 5 stars but they need to work on their shop ocleanliness. Their tools are sanitized properly, handwashing is good ect but the shop needs a bit of a scrub down. They do nice work, friendly and accommodating. Read Less

I've been going here on and off for a few years. They are great and always listen to what you want. I love the way they do my acrylic nails, not too thick. They are so sleek and beautiful. Got a French mani-pedi done today, it looks lovely. There was a small flaw in the polishwork on two fingers but you can't be perfect. Otherwise everything was really well done and the customer service was fantastic, I really did feel like a princess. Read Less

I called to do a walk in and they were very nice to me on the phone, I came in and they had in the chair within 15 minutes, one person worked on my feet, and the manicurist Paul worked on my hands! Awesome experience here! My mother-in-law and I were having a girls day and we started our day here. Great location (good parking around) and they were ready for us when we arrived :) VERY Clean!  Very peacefull.We each received a shellac manicure and opted for nail polish pedicure. We were very well attended and ALL staff were very very friendly and pleasure to chat with. They all spoke English, which I enjoyed being able to chat (not that I mind other places the staff chatting among themselves, just sometimes I feel left out?) Everyone was so nice and kind and took a real interest in us. My shellac looks awesome and I can tell it will last for good time. We didn't feel rushed, but they also were awesome and were able to accommodate us as we had made an appointment the next block over an hour after the nail appointment. (so we had manis and pedis in an hour BUT we were the only people there and we had made an appointment for 9:00 am) We really appreciated their great service in a good time. My feet also feel so smooth and toe nails look awesome!I will have to make another appointment in the future to see what else they can do! Maybe nail art next time? Thanks so much! I will be back! Very clean and spacious atmosphere. Kind reception as soon as I walked in. (I didn't have an appointment but would recommend one just in case). They seem pretty steady and have lots of regulars. Despite moving an hour away from Princess Nails, I return to North Van regularly to have my nails done here. Though I have tried other salons, Princess Nails is the only one that I can rely on for a great experience and consistently excellent results. Mary, Paul and their team love their jobs and it shows. First time at Princess Nails, called for a same day appointment and I was able to get an appointment for within 30mins. They also take walk-ins. I got acrylic nails french tip they did an awesome job, offered water or tea, and they had Friends playing on a TV big bonus 😄. I have been coming to Princess Nails for about 6 months now, every 3 weeks and have never been happier with a nail salon. The prices are on par, customer service is more than just service ... they treat you like a person. I am always greeted with a smile, their gel manicure and gel pedicure cannot be beat. I am currently in the middle of getting a pedicure and cannot wait to come back and get my nails done.  I dropped in with my neice for a pedicure and from the get go my experience has been great.  They were busy but still managed to get us in.  The girl doing my pedicure Lindsey is great, very friendly and the massage was fantastic.  At no point did we feel rushed or ignored. They were super great to my neice polishing her toes and fingers. I was in North Van, and found this place on Yelp, had excellent reviews so i popped in. No appointment necessary during the week. Very CLEAN salon, and great customer service, excellent prices. Paul did my nails and he did an amazing job!  All the nail techs Know what they are doing. He did exactly what I asked him. I have never had acrylic nails look so natural. Great experience here.  I was a walk-in wanting a pedicure.  The owners (husband and wife I'm guessing) both greeted me, and had me sitting in the chair in less than 10 minutes.  The girl who gave me my pedi was great.  I like my pedis in peace, no chit-chatting - unless i'm in the mood.  That day I just wanted to relax with my magazine.  The girl left me alone, she just did her thing.  She gave me a great leg massage - perfect amount of pressure. The only thing I have to complain about is the chairs are not massage chairs, and the tubs you soak your feet in are not jetted tubs - in fact, they are regular kitchen sinks!  Because they're not proper seats/tubs for pedis, I had to slouch down quite a bit into my chair to get my feet far out enough for the girl to work on them, especially when I had to put them flat on the footrest for the polish.  A bit uncomfortable.  They should invest in some cushions for customers like me who are too short to reach the footrest.Other than that, I will definitely return... unless I find another place that has better more comfortable seating! My tip is also my review, however I want to add that these technicians KNOW what they're doing, and they know nails. (We all know that there's good, okay, and then there's the "others" out there.. You know the sketchy salons, or the techs that will use whatever tools, and give you what you want for the cheapest price - no matter what condition your nails are in).                    Not one of those "others" or even one of the "okay" ones. EXCELLENT PRICES, SUPER CLEAN & HYGIENIC. I really have nothing to complain about these guys. I went to these folks at their old and new location. They are very friendly and clean! Their new establishment is quite nice and always offer to put on a TV show or movie of your choice...(although if you don't give input they put on discs of 2 1/2  men...not my thing ;) ) The best estheticians are the male owner and his wife Mary. The company uses new files and buffers for each customer and give them to you to take home.  I live in Port Moody now and have been waiting to go back to these guys when the opportunity arises and rest assured I will. I was in North Vancouver and I decided to stop by Princess  nails awhile back in April.All I needed was a fill and pedicure. The girl that did my fill was very nice and made me feel comfortable. She seem as if she did not care about my nails though. The shaping job was not great. She was fast though. The place was clean and spacious. The setup of the massage chair was a little awkward and the pedi-cure sinks looked like a kitchen sink.
