Absolutely disgusting employees and workers as well as the most AMATEUR work ever. I have never seen nails as bad as these. They are lumpy, uneven, patchy, the edges are rigid and lumpy, she didn't file off the excess acrylic on the sides and it's on my SKIN! And she FILED shellac off with a rough file and my nail beds are brittle and hurt now. She almost filed my nail OFF to the skin. Then when I pointed out the left over acrylic on my skin she was rude and almost yelling at me. They are absolutely unprofessional and disgusting racist women who glare at anyone who isn't their race. I felt unwanted and uncomfortable the entire time I was there. As you can see from my review history, I do not provide bad reviews. But this time it is absolutely warranted!  Sure I was a first time and walk-in customer, but when I ask if anyone has the time for a pedicure please just say YES or NO....  don't reluctantly roll your eyes then spend 20 minutes on a half-assed pedicure job on my feet. The pedicurist shoved and pulled my feet in and out of the water, spent zero time on any sort of foot massage, and there is more nail polish on the skin around my nails than on the nails themselves. And I am pretty sure she got great pleasure in scalding me with the hot rocks and towel. At least the guy at the til was pleasant.... a breath of fresh air in an otherwise dismal and forgettable atmosphere. The Nail Splash in West Van is so great... I am super disappointed that the North Van location was so miserable. Next time I am desperate for a pedi I will wait in a 3 hr line pretty much anywhere else than here. Sorry! Read Less

DO NOT go here!! Recently changed ownership and I should have taken the hint when I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty... used to be packed and the previous company and staff did a decent job.  Today however five ladies sat around while one, clearly I was her first pedicure ever, fumbled away at my toes.  She cut my nails so short she couldn't file them after to shape them!  Then using the cuticle clippers she chomped a big chunk of skin beside the nail of my big toe!  OUCH!  Now as my toe is bleeding her colleague tells her to pour some mystery blue chemical in a bottle on it... I asked what it was and they couldn't even tell me the answer. So I said stop right now and they grabbed a bottle of cheap alcohol instead and poured that on top. Double OUCH!   I finally said to please give me a clean cloth so I could hold pressure onto the wound and get the bleeding to stop enough that I could get the hell out of there.  And now I'm home to try and nurse my poor toe and keep my fingers crossed I don't get some kind of infection.   Will NEVER be back. It's an OK place. Really depends on who the technician is. I think the longevity of shellac has a lot to do with nail health, not so much the application of the polish. The older I get, the longer the polish stays on! I've had better and also have had a lot worse mani/pedi experiences - I would rate Nail Splash as average. Read Less

Great experience with their Pedi's they do a really good job, Shellac lasts quite a long time! The girls are so sweet, they will chat with you or if you want to relax in silence they'll do that too. 10/10 would recommend if you need cost friendly feet maintenance! Read Less

Under new ownership I was surprised when the owner opened the door for me upon arrival. The receptionist was very sweet. However, after enquiring about a service on the price list, one of the nail technicians (not even working on me) got involved. She was incredibly rude and gave me death glares from accross the room. Made for a poor experience. Learn some customer service skills lady. Read Less

my experience has always been ok, nothing special, but the nail polish application usually lasts a long time, and its a convenient location for me. Todays pedicure was pretty bad. She seemed very rushed, the masage was the worst I've had to date. she did not cut my nails evenly, and she cut me. do not think that I will be going back. Read Less

I've been at this place a few times waiting for my wife to get her nails done and during 2 of those times I've witnessed the owner SMACK a worker in the face and that same day YELL at other workers and "bad mouth" customers in their Vietnamese language which they were unfamiliar of me knowing it as well being white,the other day there (which was OUR LAST) they continued to desplay ignorance and the lack of "professionalism" not to mention on further information we've found that from the workers there THEY'RE NOT LICENSED TO WORK (having no experience or schooling in the trade) and you can see NO BUSINESS DIPLOMA or ANYTHING that requires the technicians to work!!We also found that they don't hire certified workers just family and friends, which the owner has a son and daughter with no work experience what so ever! I've only been once, but I have gotten my nails done elsewhere before.Usually my manicure lasts about two weeks (which is pretty usual). I've had my manicure from Nail Splash for just about a week and three of my nails have already chipped the gel polish. I've never had this happen anywhere else, and the sides of my nails weren't even painted on a few of them.I was kind of disappointed. Read Less

Worst customer service ever! Shellac lasted 6 days before peeling off. Called to get it fixed or a refund and they said "its not guaranteed to last more than 4 days!!" 4 days for shellac?!?!?! Will not be visiting this place again!Read Less
