I had an appointment with Fiona to shellac my nails. She charged me $27 extra for removing Gel from my nails in addition to $63 for shellac. Also she was in a such hurry to get to the next costumer that she damaged my nails! She was rude and condisending. She started yelling when I told her this wasn’t the price we agreed on. Then she locked the door and threatened to call the cops!!!! I just paid her and left because I didn’t want to be treated that way for $27 !!! Nail shops, I've seen them ALL! From the loud and fast assembly line specials to the luxury spa organic tree gum experiences. Ultimately, finding a nail shop that works for me comes down to three main things: 1) The technician must be a good listener, wise and interested in my life, and able to discuss and advise too, topics ranging from boyfriends to children to careers. 2) Availability. I don't want to have to wait a week with a broken nail to get an appointment with my fav technician. 3) Skill. My technician should know, after A few sessions, not right off the bat, how I like my nails done, what my pain threshold is, and keep me coming back by introducing new colours, designs and add-ons. (Having a good TV, Hygiene, and working massage chairs are also important elements). I've gone to a few of the places around the North van areas over the years and found this to be one of the best for their prices. Not impressed at all - my first visit the technician filed my skin to the point of me bleeding - I tend to have sensitive skin so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The same technician from that visit told me that if I got a shellac colour change and their salon had applied the original shellac that it was only $20 not the typical $25, this was a blatant lie that I only discovered today AFTER I got the treatment done. Perhaps my bad for not double checking but that's what I get for trusting the staff at this salon ! I'd switched from my usual nail salon for conveniencw but I'll obviously be switching back since this salon has poor business standards and practices in my opinion. There are plenty of other options along third, pick anyone of them and you'll be better off.Read Less

Just went there for my first time. I've tried out a few nail places in this area since moving to North Van 6 months ago. This one has been the best. They did a great pedicure and the service was excellent. Friendly staff. I'll definitely go back.Read Less
