If you want to be treated as a valued guest with friendly and professional service- then make an appointment with Kim or one of her staff. Kim respects her guests' time and does not double book her appointments. This is quality over quantity customer service!! Kim's work is impeccable and she adheres to strict sanitation & disinfection practices. Her high level of  training in the USA enables her to confidently & impeccably master the care of my long nails as well as natural length. No other nail salon in North Van could measure up...sadly, as one salon owner confessed "we don't do long nails in North Van. You have to go downtown". They all take their time with each client and take cleanliness into important consideration. I have been going to Kim, Lily and Lynn for years for mani/pedi...as does my family when in town. I get compliments all the time about my nails. Book ahead as tough to get an appointment leading up to weekend/holidays as they are so popular. If I break a nail they are great about squeezing me in. They stand behind their work. Read Less

The techs at About Nails do an awesome job. I have been very happy each time I have gone. It is clean and you can tell they really take pride in their work. I don't go to a specific tech because each one of them are good and they are quite busy so they fill up quick. The location is convenient, but it can be hard to find parking sometimes...that's just the way it is in Lower Lonsdale. Highly recommended! Read Less

My regular salon could not fit me in for pedi with shellac.  After reading all the positive reviews gave About Nails I gave them a call and they fit me in.  Short notice but they did not rush me, the pedi was absolutely wonderful and it was a very service orientated salon.  Two months later needed another pedi - called, made an appointment and again the same terrific service, pedi was done perfectly and the price is incredibly reasonable.  They have now become my regular salon!  Give them a try - you won't regret it!  Honestly they do a better job then some of the high priced salons on the North Shore! I love getting my occasional mani and pedis but with About Nails, I keep wanting to go back. And the reason why is because they do a really good job. I had my French manicured gel nails done twice there already and each time the experience is excellent and my nails look gorgeous. It also lasts a lot longer than when i get it done at other places too. Kim is the owner and nail extraordinaire, she's very attentive and knows how to handle different nail types so they last longer. I think I've found my go-to nail salon. The best nail spa in North Shore. Kim is amazing. she is fast, precise & super clean. She has been doing my nails for 10 years. Lili does the best pedi, she is very gentle & does the best freehand nail art. Lynn never done anything for me but she seems to be a busy bee too. love them all. great ladies & worth every penny. Great service, and very friendly.  This place took us even though they were about to close.   They didn't rush through the manicure and did an amazing job with the shellac.   My shellac has never lasted as long as from the manicure I got from About Nails.    Great experience! Read Less

I've been lucky to be a customer of About Nails for over three years.  I moved 18 months ago to the Sunshine Coast and still continue to make the trip to North Vancouver to see Kim, Lynn and Lily.  You've got to know that I think they're pretty special if I make them my #1 place for nail care as well as my waxing needs. What makes them the best salon:* Clean, clean, clean:  I trust them to ensure that their equipment is properly sanitized.* Their selection of both shellac/gel and regular nail polish is amazing--they always keep adding the latest and greatest to their stock.* An inviting atmosphere--always a smile here.* Love those massage chairs for my pedicures together with a soothing cup of tea.* The least painful waxing I've ever experienced.  (Yes, ladies, the things we do!)* Watching television and the street action out the clean, glass windows (did I say 'clean' again!)Kudos to the awesome work these ladies do.  Always a pleasure to visit. Love About Nails.  ALWAYS have a great experience .  Kim does an amazing job with my French Gel.  I've been going here every 3 weeks for years.  I travel often and sometimes need to find somewhere else and am always disappointed and can't wait to get back to Km at About Nails.  The hot towel at the end of my treatment is a special treat .  You can also get pedicures and waxing here.  The atmosphere is comfy and professional.
