WORST EXPERIANCE! I went with my mom, when I walked in, I specifically asked for the nail special, if my mom can do her toes and I do my hand. The lady at the counter said a combo and I said yes. They asked my mom to sit on the message chair and asked me to wait assumingly because all the hand table chairs were full, I waited. 15 minutes I waited than one of the message chairs get empty and they ask me to sit there. I was really sceptical as I was in a skirt, they never told me that this is what they are going to do and I was more nervous that the girl doing my nails would not have the proper reach. I sat on the message chair and needless to say I started to bleed as she hurt me quite badly, I showed her 2 black dots that where on my finger and she just put nail polish over it to hide it and I have a pump on the nail polosh on my thumb. When we came up to pay. The total came up to $63 dollars. I asked why as the combo was $42, she said we can’t do it on two people, which does not make sense at all!!! Also if that was the case why didn’t they tell us that at the beginning when I asked. With that price my mom could have done both mei/pedi on herself and me, only my nails, still it wouldn’t have cost us that much! I was furious!! I told the girl at the front I bled , and I was not told about this pricing when I specifically asked and simply said it was not a good experiance, still I paid and left. I came here for a girlfriends birthday thing. The nail application was great, a nice lady came and did my hair while the woman was working on my nails, and the hand massage afterwards was awesome. It's been over 3 weeks and I've had no chipping (I need to go in again). The salon is clean and the price is fantastic - I highly recommend this place. Read Less

My friend got a full set and a day after the top half of my nail had completely separated from her nail, id never seen anything like it. Tammy then just filled the hole with more acrylic and then filled it. She even left halfway through to do someone else’s nails. low standards at this nail salon. Read Less

This salon is almost always consistently good when I get my nails done, not once have I left the place unhappy with their work. Very friendly staff and the salon is small scale which I personally like. Only problem is parking, almost everywhere is only 1 hour and if you want to get a mani-pedi combo it's super easy to go over that hour. Getting 4 stars because I got a ticket once and they told me it was because I took to long to choose my nail polish. Realistically it wouldn't have made a difference and I thought it was very rude to put the blame on me. In addition before I even sat down I asked if it was okay with 1 hour and they said yes as long as I was in the salon. Could have been a miscommunication but it really upset me. I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon at 5 and was able to get a gel polish manicure done on the spot. The staff was nice and accommodating even though the spa itself was fairly busy. The woman who did my nails did a really efficient and clean job. It was about $30 plus tip which seems reasonable to me. I will definitely be going back. Read Less

i wanted a quick filling on a manicure so i just went to the nearest place to me on lonsdale. I called and they were accommodating and they had lots of colours to choose from.they charged me what i assume is full price? (~$40+) for a filling on my acrylic nails which made me sad :^( although it may have been because I got a matte polish, or cus my original mani was from a different place, or they thought my mani was too grown out or something. but I know of other places charging $20-35 for fillings. full price? was a lot to charge me considering when she was shaving off the old polish on my pinky, she went into my real nail and it split and hurt so bad I actually said ow and pulled my hand away.i also got no arm / hand massage or nice lotion or anything... including a tip my filling was ~$50 and the quality is noticeably inferior compared to where I usually go. they also did not give me the shape I asked for. I asked at least twice for her to sharpen the tips, but I'm not a very fussy person so i still left with quite rounded almond nails...my nails are alright but I'm disappointed in the overall quality and how much they charged me for them. they have a stamp card so if you keep coming back you eventually get a small amount off which is cool, but I won't be back. My visit to 5 Petals Nail Spa was the most disappointing experience I've had in a long time. The customers are not the priority for their very rude and disrespectful staff, especially the manager. After being there, I thought I was being used as a "guinea pig" for a training session. Walked in for a mani and they were very accommodating which was great.However, I left with one of my cuticles bleeding and unevenly shaped nails. Since my ride had already arrived I didn't have time to have them fix it.Also concerned hygiene wise.  They sterilized their metal tools but reused all their buffers. This is a small but very relaxing nail salon. Tammy and her staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. My daughter and I were very impressed the first time we went that we made appointments for ourselves and my daughter in law for the following Friday. They now have three new regulars. Best nail salon on the north sure for sure!!!! Everyone who works there is friendly, attentive, and very receptive to your nail needs! Not only that, but they will try their best to fit you in! While i agree that this is not the best salon out there, I think they really try to give good customer service. New mgmt since 5 months so they're still learning the ropes. They had a mani-pedi special for $32. it was so cheap that my expectations were low but i was next door and killing some time between appts. if u r short on time, don't go there as their time mgmt skills aren't the best. but if u r n in a rush i found they really tried. i wanted some nail art done and the price was $10 extra. i agreed.  when she put the topcoat on it smeared two nails. she would have had to completely redo those two nails and with drying time, that could be another 30 mins. it had been a while and i was tired of sitting, so i asked her for a discount as it was her error. she agreed and took off $5 for the two nails. that was a fair discount and the smear was only noticeable if you really looked for imperfections. i'll be coming back!
