So after the stress of being evacuated from my home town, I wanted to treat myself to a nice set of new nails, bad idea to come here. Le was the only one with room right away here in Nanaimo. She removed my nails fairly harshly, ripping my natural nails pretty badly, my nail beds are so sore since yesterday. Then after already being halfway through, she tells me she couldn't do nail art (even though that what I asked for on the phone when I made the appointment) and just gave me a choice from a few colors. I asked if I could come back another time for her to have time to do the nail art and she said she would have to give me a whole new set and charge me another $75. I talked with her today and all she did was get mad at me and say she was recording me on my call and that she knows all my info and she has my picture...I wasn't speaking to her rudely or anything, I just asked to have a partial refund because of her not being able to do the nail art and because she hurt my nails so much. Then she said I have bad karma and that she's done with me...no trying to fix the bad experience I had with her :( so now I'm out the $70 and now I have to pay to get my nails fixed so they don't look so tacky :( Read Less

Wow! What an amazing experience! From the moment I entered until the moment I left. Le is an absolute beautiful soul. Not once did I feel unwelcome in her salon. She treated me w dignity and the upmost respect. Her prices are fair and our conversation was fluid and natural. No awkward silences. I listened to her speak on the phone to potential clients. She was honest and sweet to anyone she spoke too. Never once putting her business before customer service. I opted for a regular manicure and eyebrow waxing. She was gentle w my delicate hands and did a great job at cleaning my cuticles and shaping my short nails. The waxing was painless. And she went with the natural arch of my brows instead of trying to recreated them into something they were not. She uses a green tea hot wax designed for sensitive skin. I will definitely be coming to Le's studio for all my Nail and esthetic needs and I will tell anyone who will listen to give her studio a chance and try her out themselves! Have been to this salon 3-4 timesThe owner is extremely "bossy" re what shoes you can wear once done your pedicureA couple of times went for a mani/pedi, and when proprietor checked nails, thought they didn't need cuticle and nail edging done, just applied coating. When I go for a manicure, I expect this to be doneYesterday was the final straw.
