I have been coming to Mint Nail Lounge for the past year and a half. I have an allergy to Acrylic nails, therefore I love that the salon has En Vogue and CND gels to have my nails done. It's all that I can use. Every time I come in, I am welcomed in a friendly manner by all of the ladies. Thy is my go to gal, although I have not been disappointed with anyone else either. I enjoy the quality and attention to detail. There are a lot of people out there that can bash nail salons, and expect perfect. Truth is, no nail salon will ever be perfect because we are all human and errors can happen. What makes a difference is the common understanding of that, and accepting human errors can happen from time to time. We all have good and bad days. If I was unhappy with something one time, the next time I was treated above and beyond. It's give and take. Building relationships with clients is key, and I have a wonderful time hanging out with the ladies and meeting other fellow clients. It's always a nice time filled with laughter. Terrible experience. This was my first manicure and it has put me off for life. The technician cut my cuticle badly and proceeded with the manicure with BLOOD on my finger without washing the equipment, putting on gloves or cleaning my finger. She touched my blood multiple times even after I suggested she put gloves on, she is lucky I am disease free, I just hope the same can be said for her considering I had an open wound. Once my finger clotted she simply painted AROUND the dry blood leaving me with a half painted middle finger (awful considering that is the one other people see the most). I paid $5 extra for long lasting polish which is chipped and unevenly painted. The technicians also spoke to each other so loudly my friend and I couldn't speak and often times weren't even looking at what they were doing (the reason I was cut)! My friend and I made an appointment together, not only were they late to letting us in, but my friend started 10 minutes before me so we didn't get to enjoy it together. Then the woman cut my friend pretty badly on the cuticle and didn't proceed to put gloves on or clean the equipment! It was pretty gross and looked horrible. I then also proceeded to get cut twice on my cuticles after they had taken off my shellac. They then over charged me claiming that the shellac was thicker than normal. They also told my friend after she had her nails painted that it was an extra charge for her nail polish since it was 'long lasting'. Pretty dissapointed with our experience and did not appreciate them talking over top of us constantly to one another and paying more attention to their conversations and not on our nails (wouldn't have cut us if they paid attention). Went here once and the staff member I had was pretty awful. I went in for a mani and pedi and not only was the water cold, but it took FOREVER and then the girl doing my nails seriously had the nerve to say that they had to get me out as soon as possible because I was there too long. If I'm paying you it shouldn't matter how long I'm there for and the time it takes isn't in my control, at all. The only good thing was that at least my nails looked nice and lasted a while. Outstanding Service!! Julie has been amazing each and every time I've gone to Mint Nail Lounge. First, I have to say that I'm very particular about my nails. Julie has handled all of my requests without hesitation. She takes the time to make uniform and balanced nails, which means sometimes fixing flat or high points that we notice right before applying shellac. She has fixed my chipped nails (entirely my fault) without charge. If the color doesn't turn out the way I expected, she has even taken off the color on her time and applied a new color. Their salon looks nice, but I got a terrible nail fill there. The lady filed all the corners of my natural nails off. Filed down my nails soo short. My fingers were sore for days. The nails started to lift after a week. They were a terrible shape. It was an expensive fill from an inexperienced nail tech. I Sent an email the next day, explaining the situation. I was told they would "talk" to the lady who did my nails and to come in again and I would get a discount. I said I w...asn't comfortable with getting my nails done, could the "discount" be applied to a pedicure? (They never took the time to tell me what "discount" they were offering me.) They replied with just come in to the salon and the manager will "decide what discount to give you". I wasn't happy with the vague response. I asked for a manger to call me. And she didn't or hasn't. It's been two weeks since my fill and over a week, since I asked for management to contact me. Terrible customer service. If you read through more reviews, you can see that they don't take well to customer complaints, and don't seem to offer a whole lot to unhappy patrons. I have worked in customer service for years, and that's not how you deal with a customer complaint. The customer is usually right, and companies should want to rectify situations in order to have people come back and spread a good word. I phoned a week prior to ask about their services. I was quoted $35 to have my acrylic removed and Shellac put on. I was quoted $30 for my daughter. My daughter and I felt uncomfortable as the employees talked to each other in their own language and when it was done I was charged $85 because my daughter had a manicure (the reason we were there in the first place) and I had nail polish on the tips of my nails instead of the whole nail. The main lady just said oh. I would expect for a paid service you would get service. Now a days it is hard to come by. I will keep searching for a good nail salon. Not a good first impression. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here, I came with my mum and we were able to sit next to one another. I had my 9 months old with me and it was no problem to have her next to me in the stroller. The staff were so friendly and talkative. The place was clean, big and I would highly recommend this place. I had gel nails done and it cost 50.00. I booked a pedi... I burnt my foot twice!!! The water was so freaking hot!! I had to keep telling her it was way to hot. She rushed through everything. ... kept looking at the clock. It wasn't very relaxing at all. I just get regular polish. Once she was done... she said I could leave but be careful .. I said no that's okay I'll wait abit longer... I'm kind of clumsy. So she said I had to wait upfront by the door with a fan on my feet. It was a super crappy experience. My feet feel worse then when I walked in... Super rough feeling. Not too bad the first time , 3 times in a row was not good . Shalac peels off , after the third time I asked if the girl could go it over , she said yes . I drove all the he way there and the girl said her boss was there and she said no . I left very unhappy . Will not go back and will not recommend to anyone . Booked a pedi for myself and 2 coworkers and they made one of my coworkers wait over 30 min past apt time and she had to leave to get her kids and then they didnt give me back proper change so over paid by $15. Not happy wont go back! Read Less

Quality was good, but service wasn't. Staff were pushy to get me to buy more services, more expensive services, and more expensive products. They also refused to let me change my nail colour before any polish had even been applied (and I think this is only because I wanted to switch to a less expensive colour). They were also fairly curt and rushed, they did not treat me like a valued customer or like they wanted to retain repeat customers. Read Less

I was looking for a salon that offered me value, quality and professional service. It was a pleasant change to walk in the door and not have someone yell "Pick your colour!" from the back of the room. The décor is simple but classier than many of the other nail bars I have been to. My first visit, I brought one of my daughters and she was so excited with the pretty designs on her toes - not the typical 5 dot daisies. Pricing is very reasonable - only $5 more for a mani/pedi than the salon that treated me like just another set of nails in a production chain - I consider it money well spent. Haven't had a bad experience here yet and I am three sets in with this salon and I have seen a different nail tech each visit and I am happy to report that all three sets I have seen them for have all lasted without lifting, breaking or chipping. I am a little rougher than the average bear with my hands as well so this, for me, is BIG. They have a super clean and charming little salon in the busy part of 200th Street in Langley and they always are really busy each time I have visited. Appointments are recommended but they are wonderful at accommodating walk ins as best they can. The girls are super sweet that work there. They also offer pedicures in a pedicure bar style setting where they offer hot stone massage with the pedicures which is a nice addition. I have yet to try this service though but it is definitely on my list for my next visit. I believe they offer an array of services in the spa setting as well because they have a room delegated for that so its definitely worth it to check it out if you're interested in other spa services as well. Anyone in the Langley area looking for a great spot to pop in for a mani/pedi should give Mint a go! Read Less

I went here to get chrome nails but I could see that they have never done it before so I just got my ring finger done in silver chrome and black shellac on the other fingers. The girl was not very talkative but did keep a commentary going on selling some earrings beside her. As she was doing the chrome she told me it was not very good for her health but that she was just a worker and that she had to do it.... came out ok but as you can see in the picture it is very grainy when I told her I wanted it smooth, abit of chrome on my skin surrounding the nail too.They charged me $5 extra for each chrome nail.The pedicure was done by a different girl named Elaine and she did a great thorough job.The salon is nice and clean, no clientele when I went in but when somebody did come in,  I had to tell them somebody was at the counter several times cause some of the workers were relaxing in the pedicure seats with there shoes off. Easily the worst pedicure I have ever had. This experience started off by booking an appointment for 2 pedicures, they said we may have to wait a bit so I didn't understand why they booked an appointment for us in the first place. Anyways we showed up on time for the appointment and didn't actually get us in until 40 minutes later, no surprise that they double booked. And even then when we sat down we couldn't even sit together, how fun is that? Now this next part is why I will never go back to Mint. My nail technician was just awful, the best way to describe her was she was probably finished work and then asked to stay to do my pedicure, was mad and took it out on my feet. Not only was she extremely aggressive in anything she did to my feet, she was continually looking at the clock. I've never felt so uncomfortable having a pedicure in my life. The only decent thing about it was the polish job, minus the fact that she cut my nails too short. This just sucks because i'm sure the salon is normally fine, but this experience has me scarred and I wont be returning. I just hope that this woman doesn't treat everyone this way. Read Less

Just went here for the first time .A tad more expensive than my usual nail place (Sposa Nails - which I highly recommend) . I made an appointment for 4:45 but they called me around 3 pm to reschedule to 5:15 . No big deal . I arrived on time , but , a regular had showed up at the same time and they tried to seat her before me .. Even though I had an appointment. I told them that appointments should be a priority and then they took me first .My nail tech was quick and pleasant . I was done in about an hour .Over all , 3/5 stars . I went to Mint Nail Salon when I newly moved to the area of Langley and was searching for my new "go to" nail stop.Firstly, I gave three stars because they nail tech still did a very decent job and seemed friendly enough, but I did think a few things were pretty bogus:- On top of the cost of a pedicure/manicure there is a $15 (each) charge for shellac nail polish. I paid an extra $30 on top of the $50 fee for mani/pedi. - This wouldn't have seemed so outrageous if they didn't also charge a $7 (each) to remove the existing shellac polish. I paid an extra $14 on top of the $80 I was already paying. This was exceptionally frustrating as I'd already picked off my shellac manicure and only had one stubborn nail with shellac left on it. This hardly seemed worth a $7 charge.I assumed that perhaps this was a one time fee, as they were removing shellac that had been put on by my old salon and that seemed reasonable. However, I called to book a follow up appointment for a simple nail polish change and they informed me that to change the shellac it would cost me $25 for the polish and another $7 for removal of the shellac they already put on. Over $30 for a nail polish change, I might as well have gotten a whole new manicure! When I asked the receptionist why it would be so much for a simple change of color she informed me that they always charge the $7 removal fee because that's "most of the work" for the nail tech. In all my years of getting shellac this is the first salon to charge for so many add-ons. Most incorporate the cost of shellac into the service (higher priced mani/pedi) or they do not charge to remove existing shellac. (Especially since it's grown out, been chipped etc.) Moving forward I will be going elsewhere, as it doesn't seem right to pay over $100 (with tip) for shellac when I could pay $75 somewhere else and have the same quality of work done.Just a heads up to those looking for a quality/affordable nail salon. Randomly popped in to check out this adorable nail salon before Xmas and was given a $20 off coupon to be used in the new year! Thanks guys! So I put it to use today on a mani-pedi girls day! The young lady that did my pedicure was awesome! Spent lots of time taking care of my toes, all of the tools were clean and sterilized, lots of colour choices in both OPI & China Glaze lines. My only qualm was the teeny pedestal you have to perch your feet on from the comfy couch. Is anyone ever comfortable after holding that position for a freakin hour??! After it feels like you've just don't 100 lunges! (Or maybe that's just me). I did enjoy having my manicure done from that same comfy couch though!
