The first time I went to Little Lounge Nail spa in December I had an amazing experience, the pedicure lasted the typical 3 weeks and the polish was applied beautifully. I’m a spa therapist myself and appreciate quality work and honestly felt that I had received a fantastic pedicure. I decided to treat myself to a shellac pedicure today at Little Lounge, I was greeted once I walked through the door and was promptly seated. The ‘nail technician ‘ started the pedicure while I settled back and started to relax. After the second application of gel polish I looked down at my toes to admire the colour and I was in absolute disbelief. The soft pink colour was applied unevenly, the nails were filed in different shapes, some were longer than others, some were round and others were square, the cuticles on 9 of the toes were flooded with gel polish. On three of my toes you can see that the ‘nail tech’ applied the gel polish without thoroughly cleaning the nail bed of all dust particles, you can see the bumps in the polish! This is work that I would expect from a student on her first day in school but certainly not in a business working on a paying customer. I pointed out to the ‘nail tech’ that the cuticles were flooded and the polish was bumpy due to dust particles in the polish application. The owner walked by and took a quick look and said something in her own language to the employee but not a word to me. The nail tech took out her nail drill and started to drill parts of the gel application off my toes in the hopes that she can just reapply the polish😳. Anyone who’s had gel or shellac knows that it doesn’t work that way, the primer would have been removed, the polish would have been uneven.... etc I had enough at this point and just asked her to apply oil to my nail beds and buff my nails. I explained to the ‘nail tech’ to apply the polish as close to the cuticle as possible but to never touch the skin or cuticles as it causes the gel to lift off. Why am I teaching the’ nail tech’ in a nail salon how to apply gel?? I went to the front to pay and a man came out and tried to charge me $50 for a shellac pedicure! When I questioned the price, he told me that they had to remove the shellac and was trying to charge me for it! I told him I would only pay for a regular pedicure, he proceeded to charge me $37. Not once did he apologize, the owner sat and watched all this from the back of the nail salon, not once did she approach me knowing full well I was leaving unhappy. The employee asked if I’d give her a second chance and at this point I did not have the time and in all honesty the application was so bad it looked like a 5 year old painted my nails. I don’t blame the employee at all, she just needs more practice and more training although I found the owner to be unprofessional with questionable business ethics! Buyer beware..... go elsewhere!!! I thought I would go for a pedicure and was in the area. It was my first time there and after speaking with a rude male employee about their prices I left. Not only are they way more than everyother place I was given a price list and was told next time you get a cheaper price. No than you. Read Less

I am new to the area and decided to try out this nail spa. I booked my appointment 1 day in advance and got the time I needed. They took me in 10 minutes early and started right away. I came in to get a pedicure. My biggest complaint is that it took 1 hour and 40 minutes and that was without waiting for the polish to dry. The nail tech didn't talk to me at all, then when I finally said i didn't want to wait for the polish to dry she left me in the seat and never returned. The manager (I think) came out and said that her worker was taking longer than usual.... okay well maybe you should see that and tell your client rather than ignoring the situation. I watched 3 other people come in and out in a hour for a pedicure/manicure. My pedicure is fine. Basic. I could have got it done anywhere. It was my first time here and unfortunately my last.
