I went there today.for a trim i was maybe 25 30 min no wash/style nothing and i had a apprentice when she was finished. Absolutely horrible! Was promised a perfect hair do by the manager. But it was the worst one I ever had. When getting my hair done, it wasn't dried, she never parted my hair to straighten small pieces at a time, she 'tried' to straighten my wet hair and only done the top layer. In the past my daughter has always has a good experience with this salon, today they messed her hair up, lied and made a 7 year old girl cry because they ruined her hair cut. I went to Bras Scissors Hair Designs to get a hair salon service. At that time they were offering spa treatment at very cheap price. Really it was just AMAZING! Spent some time getting my hair done here today and it was great. The customer service was good, the atmosphere was light and easy, it was a great experience to go there once again. It was my second time at Brass scissors Hair designs today. The first time I got a hair trim done and a manicure. Both of them for a great job and price. Awful service. Terrible experience. For "professionals" you sure don't act like it. Sorry but professionals don't (a.) swear in front of customers like a sailor (b.) act like a bitch when a customer asks if she can use the washroom (you have a public bathroom for a reason!) and (c.) not do what the customer has asked for. I paid $65.00 for my hair to be curled and for my makeup to be done for a wedding. I asked for hypoallergenic and it was not, when I got home, my curls were falling out and I had to remove my makeup because it gave me a rash, made me itchy and do it all again myself. This place is absolutely awful. From a customer service standpoint, I'd expect better service from a halfway house. I was ignored from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out. After explaining to Lynn's (the stylist's) back what he wanted, she proceeded to cut my byfriend's hair into an odd, reverse mullet sort of balloon shaped hairstyle. When I questioned her about whether he was going to look like this, or if there was anything else he could do, I was told that he should use styling gel. My boyfriend has rarely even touched a comb in his life. I told Lynn that that wasn't going to happen, and that I didn't want her to put any in his hair. She proceeded to go against my wishes and glob the foul smelling concoction on his head. She then pronounced she was done. I needed to point out to her several long, wispy flyaways which she wasn't going to fix on her own. The price was another surprise; The website quotes mens' haircuts at $16-20, and my boyfriend was charged $35. Will never come here again, and continue to advise everyone I speak with against going as well.
