I just had the most wonderful experiance at this warm and trendy nail salon located in central Coquitlam! I was first introduced to Elegancy Nails last week when the beautiful salon caught my eye just by walking past it. I booked in for my first appointment and was not disappointed when Rozita did my nails! They were carefully shaped and so gorgeously painted! One week went by and I some how cracked my nail. I work in the makeup industry so my nails tend to get worn down a bit quicker. I called Elegancy this morning and they booked me in right away for the time slot I needed. I headed to the nail salon just a couple hours ago and was greeted by everyone! Amy (the manager) sat me down and not only fixed my nail but went above and beyond by re-filing and going over all my nails with another coat of paint to make sure I was completely satisfied. This may sound crazy to readers, but I felt like I have been going to this nail salon my whole life! I went to pay and tip Amy for such incredible service and instead was given a hug and told not to worry about it. If I wanted to tip, to tip to the girl who does my nails next time. WATCH your stuff here!!!! The owner did my nails, she is good, my pedi was okay. BUTTTTTT, you need to watch your purse and sunglasses etc. I put my sunglasses down for a minute and boom they were stolen!!! VERSACE!!!! I couldn't believe it and when I asked they said they had no idea and that is was not their responsibility and offered no discount and or service. Apparently their cameras were broken and or not working and even a customer said she saw my sunglasses and then they were gone, so either a customer stole them or a staff. My concern is what kind of person steals while getting their nails done obviously they have enough to get nails done, so was it a staff then? I will never know and will never go back there ever!!!!!! I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. I’ve been going since they first opened and every experience is consistent professional relaxing and I always leave with PERFECT nails. I’m very very picky when it comes to nails and have literally tried almost every place in Coquitlam - the products they use here and the training of all the staff is so so so obvious. You can feel it when they’re using products how luxurious and high end even the most basic products they use are. They don’t cheap out any where. They always offer you a hospitable quiet and relaxing environment unlike many places in Coquitlam. They always fit you in, and even if your main nail technician isn’t working they all offer the same quality service and you always leave happy. The owner Amy is the sweetest woman ive ever met and you can tell she’s passionate on providing a really above and beyond experience for all the men and women who walk in. This was my first time & my last time coming here. Very clean and organized place but I think they replaced their gel polish for something cheaper or they just put regular polish in gel bottles! I got my nails done on a weds and by Saturday my nail polish came off my nail . And I got gel nails which means the polish would of cracked. This nail polish peeled off !! Terrible service, demanded tip, they cut my cuticle deep, it's still bleeding a hour later, my nail acrylic is uneven and bubbly. They are rude, didn't give a damn that i'm bleeding.I usually don't write bad reviews because I am easy to please but I had to warn other potential customers. After an hour and fifteen minutes of them using unsanitary tools, dipping my fingers in acrylic powder and leaving a sandy like surface on my nails, I decided to pay and go. I told them that I had to leave and asked for the price. They showed me an astronomical amount and expected me pay. I informed them that I did not have any colour on my finger nails but they said it was part of "a package". I am very very unhappy with their service but above all their customer respect. Had a set of acrylic nails done with gel colour.  Paid $70Very next day one snapped off.  So I went back and they were rude and did not want to fix it.  After a long discussion they replaced it....but when done it was a different shape and different colour...glaring mistake but they didn't care.Next day and for the week following the acrylics continued to break and come off.  I have tried to reach the owner Amy several times and am told to call back at different times...each time they say she is not there call back at a different time.  Total run around.I've had my nails done many many times and never had this much problem.  Maybe this batch was old or something but no matter what the salon should care about customer satisfaction and stand behind their product.I would say to anyone getting nails done...go to some other nail salon where they care and willAddress issues...not shrug themOff and avoid clients with concerns. About a week and a half ago I got shellac done and three to four days later my shellac was already starting to chip and peeled off which has never happened to me before. I was very unimpressed with the quality considering shellac has always stayed on for a solid week with no chips. I also got regular nail polish on my toes which started to chip instantly, i understand regular polish chips easily but I was better off doing my own nails which last longer when I do it myself. Another thing is I like my nails short and I always request short as possible and I've never had an issue with the nail technician, but at this location when I requested short as possible I felt like she was refusing to cut them short as possible. I don't care if they look better long it's not preference. If I request something I expect it be done without questioning my preference. The work they did was good, but the customer service wasn't. There was very little interaction beyond asking if the water temperature was okay (and it was left on too long when it wasn't). While the nails were setting, we were ignored; we essentially got tired of sitting there and got up to leave ourselves. When I did ask questions, they were ignored.Read Less

Had an appointment at 11am on a Saturday. When I arrived the receptionist took my name and then told me to sit and wait until Kelly was done. I waited for 30 MINUTES and then the receptionist came up to me and said "Oh so, your name is not in our book... sorry you don't have an appointment". Even though I booked my appointment on the phone a week and a half before and then called to confirm a few days before... like seriously?! DO NOT recommend. i went to elegancy nails to get acrylics done for spring break. i paid $63 for a full set (worst mistake of my life) as soon as i left the salon the nail polish smudged. then 3 days later at 10 pm, all of the nails snapped off in the shower and ripped layers of my nail off along with it. i called to ask for a refund due to my nails coming off and they said i should have called the SECOND they came off. i called the next day they came off when the salon originally opened, and now i have screwed up nails and i'm missing $63. if there was an option that i could choose no stars i would because this place is the worst salon in coquitlam. Got my acrylics done at elegance nails and I was not satisfied with the service. The girl rushed her work leaving the end results to look sloppy. Her attitude was unprofessional. There are air bubbles on each of my nails and the sides look unfinished. I wouldn't recommend and I'm not ever going back! Read Less

I have had some good experiences here.  But the last couple of times have not been great.  Last time they had ants crawling all over the floors.  This time the lady doing my fill was very rough not that friendly and I was not happy with my nails she told me she was busy and to come back another day if I wanted them fixed.   I think I will be looking for a new nail salon. Came to get a pedi with my mom.  The establishment is super clean and everyone is friendly and professional.  Heather gave me a pedicure- she was so thorough and she asked if I liked her work as she went through it all.  Angelina repaired my nail and she filed them so nicely I wish I lived closer to come on a regular basis.  I might have to travel from downtown to Coquitlam to get my nails done !! My friend and I came in as walk ins. They told us to sit and wait for someone to come and help us. Then the owner came and told us that we that that they could arrange a time for us but one would have to come a later time. We were okay with it but then she kept changing the time. Horrible! I have been here perhaps 5 or 6 times and I can't even begin to express how disappointed I am. I have always given Amy another chance because I liked how she handled her customer service, despite how every time something either took too long or they started late (which just a tip, they always start your service 20 minutes after your actual appointment so come late!). Today I went in for our appointment for two shellac pedis one French and one solid colour. My gf and I came in 5 minutes early only for them to start our nails at 2:55 instead of our 2:30 appointment time. After they began the pedis SHE BEGAN FILING OUR NAILS WITH USED!! USED NAIL FILES. My gf who is an nail technician herself (she can't do her own pedis and prefers to relax) had to call her out and tell her to go grab new files and that's a major health concern that is taught and regulated at all schools and Fraser health canada! GROSS! Broken down nails partials from another person, transferred on your broken skin, hepitits and fungus spreads like this! Not only did our pedicure take 1 hour and 45 minutes, I had to ask her to mid pedi (first foot) change from a French to solid because she has screwed up and redid my one foot FOUR TIMES! One of my feet (big toe) has a noticeable bruise from being over filed and buffed onto my skin. Not only after the appointment did we privately voice what had happened to us with Amy (hoping and judging on her usual manners she would understand) she began to argue in front of clients and it turned into an unfortunate display of customer service. She then over charges me, having to correct it (still $55.00 for a shellac pedi... WHAT A RIP OFF) but she basically told us that the reason the used an old file is to remove the previous shellac we had on, and justified herself by handing me my receipt. WARNING STAY AWAY! I will not be returning here again, what a disappointment as I have sent over 10 repeat clients there. I've only been to this nail salon once, and I'm only writing about that single experience. A group of us went in prior to a special event. I'm not writing as a whole experience - which was fine - I'm writing about the quality I received during my visit. We were all taken in right away and started on our pedi's. Now, I've only had 1 pedicure in my life, and that's my comparison. The tech went to work...soaking my feet, using the pumice to soften them, massage...all felt great. But when she was working on my feet with the tools, she was getting really aggressive. I pulled my foot away TWICE and said "ouch!", indicating that what she was doing was painful. So she switched toes, continued to work...eventually coming back. She held my foot so tight that she was pinching my toes...almost constantly. I mentioned to her it was a bit painful, but it was received on, what I can only assume was, deaf ears. Once that was done, we went over and had our manicures. That was fine, it was done just as quickly as our pedicures (good? bad? Either way..) but at face value, they looked fine. The polish was a little off, it wasn't properly layered and you could see where the polish 'bunched' and had much more in spots on my nails. As I look at them today, there are tiny bubbles coming through the polish - you can't see it from a distance, but for the price I would have assumed that wouldn't happen. But what I didn't realize until after I left, was that one of my big toes was infected. It flared up and got very red and was painful to walk around. I got my nails done 3 days prior to writing this review, and my toe still hurts just as much as it did the morning after. I'm trying to care for it, but it's a slow road to recovery. I'm positive it came from the tech that rushed through my pedicure with her tools. This place, to me, felt very "get in, get out" ...very rushed and there  was no talk between me and my nail tech, she had no interest in her client whatsoever. I don't enjoy being "stabbed" in the skin beside my nail, so I won't be returning to this salon, nor will I recommend it to someone else. Read Less

All the girls there were very kind and spoke wonderful English. The atmosphere was very calm with spa music. We had shellac done for our mani along with the parafin dip. Very nice.If I'm ever in need of a nail studio while I'm in Coquitlam, this is the place to go.One final tip, the street parking on the north west side of the corner is 2 hours free parking, every where else is pay parking. After treating so much toe nail fungus at our clinic I was very reluctant to go anywhere again for a pedicure.  This place is conveniently located so I thought I would go in and see what services they had to offer and was very impressed with how spic and span the place was.I asked to see what their hygiene protocol was and without hesitation she took me in to the back and showed me the autoclave and uv light processors.  All the utensils were individually wrapped and organized and not a spec of dirt or dust in the back room.  All the pedi accessories were neatly lined up in both sterilizing units.All the equipment is brand new and the décor is tastefully done.  I am currently booked in for a pedicure and I feel comfortable referring people to this location.Price points are around $20-$30 for manicure and about $35 for pedicure.The lady that I spoke to speaks perfectly clear English and is very professional.
