I have been going to Book A Look for some time now and am very happy to say that I highly recommend them. I have Gel nails and go every two to three weeks to have filled or to change my polish. Tran does a terrific job and is such a sweet young lady. She is very talented in her art work with your nails for something different and makes it fun. All of the ladies do an excellent job and there pedi is amazing. Not only is the work first class but it is very clean and sanitary which is very important. We went here for my friend's wedding preparations. They did an amazing job with all of us and are pretty fast at pedicures. The owner is very nice and super accommodating. My only complaint is that there was only one nail artist when we had booked 2 to be done, so the bride had to wait many hours while her mother's nails were being done. Next time, let the bride in first, no matter what. But otherwise, well done! Read Less

I am very impressed with the new management at Book A Look. I got a full set done in abbotsford just before the holidays and to say the least I was not impressed.. A couple days before Christmas I was frantic to find a salon in town that would fix them as I didn't want to deal with the salon that did them in the first place. I thought I would give Book a Look a try.. it was about 7:30 at this time and I wasn't sure if they were open but I thought I was drive by and see.. When I got there the open sign was still on but when I walked in they were just wrapping up and about to call it a night. Yet Tran & Tee asked what I wanted and sat me down. I was blown away that they were willing to stay so late for me. I showed her my botched set and she assured me I would leave happy. I ended up getting a whole new set of gel nails and am very pleased. She took her time and always checked with me to make sure I was happy. We shared a lot of laughs and great conversation. I ended leaving at about 9:30PM. I was so thankful that my nails were fixed and looked fab. I will definitely go back and give their salon a 10/10. First time there for my scheduled appointment I was ignored by the man at the desk and I left after 20 min. They had only one client in a chair out of 7 chairs. He chased me outside and apologized but my time was too important to come back in and I left.  Now 6 months later and all the snow I decided to have a pedi and manicure so I tried again  I was treated much better this time by Tee and my nails were done to perfection. My complain is the cost. It was $85 for a mani/pedicure combo.  I pay $45 for the same in West Van and Langley. Way too pricey especially if you are getting a gel polish which has to be redone almost every 2 weeks.  The place has 7 chairs and only 2 were filled.  Maybe if the management want to increase traffic they should lower their prices and people will come. Waited 20 minutes only for technician to say she can't do my nails. I have had acrylic nails for 30 years. I think it was late in the day and she wanted to leave. I went down the street to another nail salon and had a beautiful job done on my nails. Read Less
