I absolutely ADORE this place. From ever smiling Rebecca, to all knowing and best proffesional ever, whom I have great pleasure to chat to while being in her trusting hands - Kathy. Not enough space here to discribe "my case" on this review, but all I can say - I was helped and "beautyfied" like nowhere before. 10 stars (oops guess 5 only allowed)! :)

My daughter and her friend went to have their nails done for the 1st time. Gel nails. They each paid $73.50. The nails were done on a Thursday. In less than a week nails on both girls (Monday and Tuesday) came off and chipped. My daughter’s friend had her nails redone at a 2-star facility on the Wednesday. They looked much better and she was happier with the results. My daughter and I went back to Urban Legends and were told “you could use crazy glue but you might end up with bacteria in it” or “we could fix it on Monday.” We explained we would be returning to Alberta on Saturday and would not be here. Again we were offered an appointment on Monday. Again we would not be in BC. The girl obviously was not listening and didn’t really care. I will be taking my daughter to a “proper” spa to have them fixed in Alberta at an added expense. We chose this facility because of the high recommendations and ratings. I do not recommend this facility. We were extremely disappointed with the product and service.

I love love this salon!!! I'm always welcomed with smiles and coffee and it is a perfect little me-time getaway. I see Rachel who is AH-mazing!!!! She knows her colours and cuts - I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. Rach listens each and every time to my crazy hair whims, steers me from straying too close to danger and I always love the end product. I've been to salons across the country and I can honestly say this one is my favorite. Another plus - the full service spa on the other side of the salon. One stop shopping! Ladies (and gents) seriously check this place out. You won't be sorry.

One star is one too many. I gave tried this salon twice and both times I have been dissapointed. The first time the stylist was given directions how to cut. The second time the stylist did not know how to cut hair or follow a picture. I wish I had the courage to speck up at the time but I just wanted to get home. I basically had two hair cuts that day, the second from Terry he obviously saw the mass she made and gave he a lesson while trying to correct what she had done. I saw the look on his face as if to szy I have to fix this and how di I do that. You cannot replace hair once cut, I had spent six months growing out the back of my hair I now have to start from scratch to regrow it and it will take another six months. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I first met Raychel three years ago when I moved to the area. My daughter and I both love her and her talent/ skill as a stylist is exceptional. We always leave happy with our cuts and colour creations along with a sore belly from laughter. As a career woman Raychel has created a look that is easy and sophisticated but can transform into sassy and fun!!!! We trust her to make all the decisions and are always super happy. The spa services are phenomenal. Robyn and all the team are so professional and experts at the services they provide. From your welcome by Becca, all the friendly staff and the exceptional service it’s one of my most enjoyable salon experiences!

Love urban legends! All the staff are very professional, but welcoming. I always see Raychel for my hair, for the past... 6? Years.. I kind of lost count it’s been awhile though! She is amazing and I trust her 100% to do a great job with my hair cut & colour! I’ve also had waxing, manicure and pedicure done at urban legends in their spa I felt so comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Can’t say enough good things about this place. I love how they offer tea/coffee/water when you sit down, no shortage of magazines, they also have a great retail section I’ve bought tea tree shampoo and wet brushes for my kids! So much more then “just a hair salon” A gem in a small town!!

It’s rare that I trust anyone with my hair & it took me years to find a stylist. Not only is my hair long but very thick, Raychel always has a way of making it work and coming up with the best outcome. I sat in Raychel’s chair and I always leave happy and excited with my results. I know I can fully trust her with my hair because she treats it like it’s her own (inside joke). I would highly recommend her to anyone! She is amazing! :)

I had my first visit today! Hayley did a very attentive, professional job caring for my long mermaid hair. She was careful not to take off too much length, but was thorough enough to get all of the dead ends. The cut itself happened very quickly. It was the careful blow drying & straightening that gave it the results achieved. Thanks again for a good experience! :)

I started going to Urban Legends a few months ago to get my nails done so when I noticed it was time for a haircut, of course I made an appointment there. I was continuously impressed with the quality of my gel nails and each time I had been in, Jess (their nail technician) and the staff were so wonderful and welcoming. Raychel was no exception! Right when I walked in, Raychel and I were a team. We laughed like friends and not only discussed what I wanted with my hair that da...y, but my future plans as well. She was excited to help me create a style I could be confident with and find products that suited my needs. Best experience getting my hair done! It's obvious everyone that works there is focused on high quality service and creating relationships with their customers. I've found the staff to be very professional and friendly. Lisa has done fantastic work on coloring and cutting my hair, the receptionist is always very nice and quick to figure out how to help, and the spa staff do really nice work. I've suggested Urban Legends to friends and family and everyone has been happy with their experiences.

Urban Legends was highly recommended and they did not disappoint! I have been a steady returning customer for several years and they have not let me down. Jeannette does a fabulous job, Lisa is a delight when she has filled in. The Spa staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I have never walked out of there thinking I need to look elsewhere. Try them- it is worth it!

Thanks Rachel!! I'm from Halifax and attending a family wedding and desperately needed an updated color... Rachel was gracious enough to accept the challenge and did an excellent job! It was like I had been seeing her for years and that's hard to find! She is an great colonist and explained in detail what she was doing and why... My only regret is that I'm not closer to see her again. I'll be back and will be sure to book in with her in the future! All the best Rachel!

One star is one too many. I gave tried this salon twice and both times I have been dissapointed. The first time the stylist was given directions how to cut. Urban Legends was highly recommended and they did not disappoint! I have been a steady returning customer for several years and they have not let me down. Thanks Rachel!! I'm from Halifax and attending a family wedding and desperately needed an updated color... Rachel was gracious enough to accept the challenge and did an excellent job! It was like I had been seeing her for years and that's hard to find! She is an great colonist and explained in detail what she was doing and why...
