I got my nails done today, unfortunately, my nails are not what I expected. At first, I gave them a photo of a screenshot from Instagram, hoping that I'll get something similar to that. Then the lady ( not the one whose doing my nails, but the one who is doing another customer nails, who sat next to me )start saying that my nails are too small that they can't do that. And I don't know much about manicure, so the lady recommended me to do just pink nails. At first, I chose a color that is pinkish white, after trying it on my thumb nail, she said the color is too shear and ask me to choose another color... while I was deciding, she recommended me a pink color, I trusted her choice because I thought she a professional! So I said : ok, let's go for it! While I'm getting my nails done, the ladies (nail tech) keeps chatting in their own language, which I can't understand... after a while, I ask if I can add something on to my nails, so they wont look too dry... the lady said sure, I was expecting she can give me something to choose from, cuz I really don't know what do they have in store and I wanted to see for myself if those things fit my nails. But they just kept asking me what do I want, and ask me to be more specific and stuff... gosh!!! So the lady end up putting a shimmering silver polish on both of my ring nails... The nail polish are not put on evenly, that I can feel that when I touch my nails... I'm so disappointed with this store, and I may not visit again... cuz they cannot give me the things that I wanted, the nails that I got right now is so not what I expected, not even close... Got in to get my nails done today and this was my first time to this shop as I don't live in BC but I was super impressed. Ashley did my nails and I've had them done many times over the years but I love my nails I got today better then any set I've ever had. I got the solar and then I got a French manicure with orange and a beautiful flower on each ring finger. Now when I get flowers done there usually drawn on with nail polish but what Ashley did was amazing. She created a beautiful rose out of white powder and made it 3 dimensional its absolutely beautiful! Thanks again Ashley! If I'm ever back in Burnaby I will come back to you!!!!!! Read Less

I went to get a fill and color change after getting them done at SLS Salon on Robson 2 weeks ago - who did a terrible job btw, they were so thick and chunky, misshapen and uneven, and absolutely the wrong shape. I made an appointment with Katina, and it was like night and day when I walked out. They actually look like my natural nails, and follow the shape of my nail bed perfectly. She managed to get the exact shape I wanted, even though I limited her by wanting them somewhat... short (I use my hands a lot and cant do the long claws). She was so friendly to chat with, and very obviously technically skilled and experienced, especially compared to the 2 hour nightmare I had previously experienced. I got my nails done black, and when I left they looked very navy blue to me in the light. I came back the next day to ask about it and see what happened, if there was maybe a mistake with the color, etc, and if they could do anything to make them blacker. I'm always nervous doing something like this as I generally make sure to avoid confrontation, but Katina was super understanding and patient, she troubleshooted the potential issue, tried 2 different top coats so I could compare and choose which one I was happier with. When we found out which top coat made them less blue, she redid the topcoat on the rest of them for me without charging me, and made sure I was happy before I left. On top of this awesome customer service experience, which could have gone so many other ways, during the initial appointment she was super clear on making sure I knew the prices of what I was getting, that I was getting exactly what I wanted, that it was possible before she agreed on it and got started. I was going to get matte black designs on the glossy black, and she made sure to double check with me that I knew it may not really be seen so may not be worth the extra cost. Worst customer service ever. I booked my appointment far in advance because I know they are always busy. When I got there 10 mins prior to my appointment, I let them know I booked myself for 5:30 pm. The owner Stanley let the staff know, so I didn't mind waiting extra 10-15 min since it was busy. After 30 mins of waiting they took another customer instead of me, so I got up and let then know I've been waiting there for 30 mins. The owner asked me to wait longer! Never going back. Read Less

Went to get my nails done last weekend and this is what i have to say .. its good prices until you go up to pay.. they don't tell you about the extra add on prices until its to late. Service wasn't worth a tip either. Answering the phone the whole time, it took twice as long as it should have. nails already chipping and i know if i go get them repaired it will cost me just as much a new set. No thanks.
