Very clean, girls are using gloves and a new set of nail buffers for each customer! I am usually very picky when it comes to overall experience in nail salons however here I felt very welcomed and not rushed as usual. Girls took their time to do amazing job. Very happy!! I am so happy that I found Koko nail & lash. I recently moved to the neighbourhood and they have made me feel very welcome. I've had gel manicures from Emily and Sue, and they have both done an amazing job!! While Koko is slightly more expensive than my old nail place, they have really nice organic polishes that are scent-free (which is great for anyone that gets headaches easily) and they have beautiful colours. And great service!! I recently tried the colour 'Eternity' and it is the perfect pinkish-purple neutral. I highly recommend this place for a great manicure and warm, welcoming staff! Read Less

I came here for a gel polish manicure a few months ago, and am now a loyal customer. Both Elli and Sue  are so meticulous that the manicure doesn't chip for weeks. I am obsessed with this pale purple colour called "lovely" and constantly get compliments on it. As a bonus, the polishes are organic, and don't seem to damage my nails once removed.The salon itself is conveniently located in Solo District, and is light, clean, and new. From the moment I walked in I was not impressed. I feel like this place lacks customer service and does not look out for their customers best interest. I went here to get my eyelashes done. Their price list quoted $95 for full set synthetic lashes and $110 for mink on their price list. I told the lady I wanted synthetic and she told me that they only do mink now. When I asked her how much that would cost knowingly $110, she quoted me $130. I asked her why her price list says otherwise and she said that the price on yelp was their "opening" price. I was confused as why they wouldn't delete the price list on their yelp and told her to remove it to avoid confusion. She replied with "I tried to delete it but it doesn't work."  I also did NOT have an enjoyable experience because during my eyelash session all I can hear is loud banging noises in the background due to other workers organizing nail polishes... in the exact same room as us. This went on for quite awhile. The worst part is at the end of it all she ended up charging me $150 because "$130" was for "classic sets" when she was fully aware that I wanted FULL VOLUME and quoted $130 to begin with. Overall, this store is a MONEY GRABBER. They have lost a customer and I will not be coming back. Read Less

I've been here twice and gotten shellac nails done bringing in a design from Pinterest and both times it's turned out amazing. They pay so much attention to detail and always check to see if you're liking your vision as you go along. I've had Yumi and Miranda so far and both were wonderful! I love Koko nails! This is the only place I go. I really detest the smell of fumes I find in other salons, and while I like durable nails, I also like them to be simple (i.e. not having to deal with glueing anything one) so the gel polish they offer here is perfect for me! It is a very high quality polish with tons of colour choices. The staff is also always super courteous, my nails look great and I have never had a problem with them not lasting. Highly recommended. This is another business in the Solo building I wanted to try out since it is so close by. Really cute nail bar and they do lashes too. I liked that everything looked really clean. Big selection of gel nail polishes. My nail tech was very meticulous in trimming my cuticles and the nail polish was applied perfectly. Will have to come back!*edited to add* well it's been over a week and my nails still look perfect. No chips anywhere! Although it is slightly more pricey at koko's, I would go here again because the imperfections in other nail salons' manicures usually irritate me and my type a-ness. I went here because it was close to my condo. Im not sure how the mani/pedis are BC I got eyelash extension. After 1.5 weeks more than 75% of m lashes fell off.. I returned in 2 weeks and let them know that my lashes fell off but should last 3-4wks. They said they will charge me for $70 fill (the price says $50+ and charge whatever price they want). The technician spent a while filling my lashes and at the end she said since it was a lot she had to charge me $95 now. Poor quality and poor service.. I would not return here if you are getting your lashes done! I've never gone to a lash bar that has "and up" and no fixed prices for lash refills.. a complete waste of money!!! Read Less

Very nice salon in a convenient location with underground parking. Staff are extremely courteous and easy to talk to. If you are worried about chemicals and fumes then this is a great salon to go to since they more conscientious products. My gel nails are beatiful and on par with the other Japanese inspired salons in the City. Highly recommend. I will be back. Read Less
