I used to go here a couple of years ago to get my nails and eyebrows done at their old location. I have never had any issues with their service until now. Today was my first visiting their new location and my first time getting a Brazilian at their spa. The new space is beautiful and big, but I was disappointed with the service I got today. Brazilian wax was advertised as $27, but right before she started, she asked how long it had been since my last Brazilian(I thought she was just making small talk..) I told her a little over a month, she then said since it's been that long that they were going to charge me $35. I was a little annoyed by this, but I didn't want to argue with her about it, so I let it go. I come home after my appointment to properly inspect the work she had done and i found a lot of left over wax I had to clean up myself. I will not be returning here to get a Brazilian again. Staff are super friendly, place is clean,loads of parking space ,and my eyebrows always look amazing. The salon is beautiful the owner Liz was wonderful very confident she fixed my nail that needed repaired! Just got a Gel manicure. The girl that did it wasn't so friendly and she could have polished my nails a little better. It felt rushed. Most manicures I have had they massage your hands with lotion, did not get that. The whole thing took about 10 mins. Then asked if I wanted to leave a tip. No!! Will not be going back there. Got an underarm wax, as well as eyebrow threading. The wax was okay, but they used baby powder to finish, instead of lotion. The eyebrow thread was good but she missed a few hairs. This place is okay for the location and price, but I'd rather drive out to Main or Fraser Street. Read Less

Eh, I used to love this place to get my eyebrows done because the threading is cheap 5 bucks plus tax and I would always request Ranjeeta but now they don't take appointments for eyebrows which is annoying because if I want her specifically I have to wait and call in. I would have given them a higher rating before. They always tell me to maybe call a half hour before or after a certain time but then it's like "what time do I leave my house then to just get my eyebrows threaded so I can give myself enough time?" The thing is I don't trust just anyone with my eyebrows because I've had instances where they were so thin and didn't like that. Nav was good too, but I found out she doesn't work there anymore either. Went there I said to clean my eyebrows. She kind of removed the hair around but there was no shape? She said I should've asked her to shaped them. I asked her if she could and they were noticeably uneven. I have one "round" eyebrow and the other is arched in the middle ??? Looking stupid. Now I have to grow them out to reshape them. We love this place. I go in for a full-face threading for $20, and my friend get their eyebrows done for $5. Both of our eyebrows turned out amazing, and my friend looked transformed. Got my brows threaded here a couple of weeks ago for the first time after having heard my friends rave about them for months and they did not disappoint! The lady (sorry I don't remember her name) was very careful to ask me what shape I wanted exactly how thick I wanted, how arched, and delivered! I had my eye brows threaded and tinted. They were suppose to tint my eye brows brown and they turned black. When she threaded my eye brows they were uneven. They made a mess out of my eye brows. I went next day telling them they were black. She said there was nothing we can do about it and they didn't even apologies. Read Less

They double dip with waxing services! When I confronted the tech she said sorry then took a new applicator stick and dunked it in the wax! Doesn't make a difference now since the wax is already contaminated with the first stick you put in, along with however many others from other clients. Little things like not reusing the same wax strip 3 times on each side of the upper lip, ouch! Get it right the first pull! Also applying pressure immediately after pulling the strip to the spot where you just waxed. This is just standard for waxing services, something I would expect from a "brow bar". I guess you can't complain when you pay less than 10 bucks for eyebrow threading and an upper lip wax but you can't put a price on proper hygiene and spa etiquette. I'll be spending a bit more and going elsewhere next time. Live and learn.Read Less

Fast, efficient and no appointment needed.  I needed my uni-brow maintained, and this place has great ladies who do eyebrow threading.  For $5 plus tax cant argue with that.  If its not busy, and you're lucky at the end of you treading you'll get a little forehead massage with aloe.  Not all of the ladies do it, and it you come while people are waiting your out of luck! This is an amazing salon. I was helped in a timely manner and I was greeted by a cute doggy in a sweater. In comparison to the Love Threading Salon, The job done on my eyelashes was so impressive. They were done in a nice little spa room, comfortable setting, and done quicky. The Love Threading Salon glued my eyes shut, while this salon did my eyelashes absoluely proper, natural at a price I'm willing to spend every two weeks. They are still holding up now! Do no go here for any waxing services. When I initially called and asked if they double dip while waxing, they said no. Every session by performed by an east Indian lady that was in her mid-late 40s.I went for a few sessions and everything was good. Yet, one day that I was just tired and had my eyes closed, I realized she was double dipping through the whole appointment while I had my eyes closed. And her excuse???She forgot! okay!!! That is just very disgusting and unprofessional. At least don't lie to people when they ask about a service. I wouldn't not even give one star, but I couldn't post without giving a star. The only place I go to get my brows threaded. My favorite person to get them done by is named Nav (I believe that's her name) because she gets them done super quick and always does such a good job. The eyebrow threading service was very quick, affordable and straight-forward.This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded, after my friend recommended them. When she mentioned an eyebrow threading place that was within walking distance to Lougheed skytrain station and only $5, I was intrigued so I booked an appointment. I leave for vacation tomorrow and I called them yesterday and they were very accommodating with times which I appreciated. When I got there, I noticed that the nail section of the salon was very busy! I might have to come back and see what the hype is about on that. Anyways, I waited a couple minutes for them to set up. I sat down and she started almost immediately. I could barely get in the word that I didn't want them too thin because my eyebrows weren't very prominent to begin with and that left me a little nervous, but she clearly knew what she was doing. After threading, she plucked the little strays with the tiny beauty scissors, and let me look at them in the mirror to see if I was happy with them. I was, so she finished off with some aloe vera lotion and I was on my way. The total came to $5.45 after taxes. They only accept cash for under $10 though. I'll be back! Read Less

So I realised my eyebrows were catipillars on my face, so after work last week I tried finding a place which would wax/thread brows and be still open past 6:00pm. I drove to one place nearby my area (Edmonds) and google lied as they were closed when I arrived. After searching, I noticed that Diva Brow Bar and Spa was open until 8:00pm which was perfect! The only thing is that I was in a bit of a rush so I called beforehand to make sure there was someone available to do my brows when I got there in 15. I called and a lady on the other end told me "yes, there will be someone here". So I began my drive there...Upon arrival there a guy at the counter. I told him I was here to get my brows done and had called 15 minutes prior. he said "okay. Please sit down that will be a 20 minute wait."and I said "huh? I called 15 minutes ago and was told that I would be seen right away. I wouldn't have drove this way out if I knew there was another 20 min wait because I am in a rush".Instead of being nice or even the slightest bit apologetic as a customer service worker should be, he started blaming me!! He literally said "well maybe you should have made an appointment, and then you wouldn't have to wait. Now do you want to get your eyebrows threaded or not?" I then told him "Maybe I would have, but I was not given that option on the phone"I found him EXTREMELY rude considering it was their mistake for not informing me on the phone that there may be a wait, not something to blame the customer for. I politely told him I will still get my eyebrows done considering I already drove all this way but to next time make sure whoever answers the phone let the customer know that there may be a wait.And do you know what his reply was? This is my first time getting anything done to my eye brows. I have always been scared they will screw up. Because I don't have much eyebrow hair to begin with, it would have been a huge loss for me if anything went wrong. After doing some research on different brow bars / spa in Tricity area, I booked an appointment with Ranjeeta as everyone has given her spectacular reviews. I was able to get in within 20 minutes of calling them. Ranjeeta was a very nice lady. I didn't really get to talk very much with her though since it was a very speedy process (although a bit painful since it is my first time). I am extremely happy with the results and the price! For years I used to frequent a salon on Fraser Street in Vancouver for eyebrow threading, but now that I've moved to the Tri-cities, driving out to that part of Vancouver is a bit of a hassle. I was thrilled to learn about Diva Brow after searching for a reputable place closer to home that provided eyebrow threading services at reasonable rates. Eyebrow threading here is $5, which is difficult to come by outside of the Fraser Street and Surrey area. While I believe eyebrows are an important feature of a girl's face, I just can't justify spending $25+ at those fancy brow salons, especially when eyebrows require regular maintenance to maintain their look and shape. While I do enjoy the occasional indulgence and pampering, I don't need a rose water massage and cup of tea everytime I go to get my eyebrows threaded, thank you!I read about Ranjeeta through the Yelp reviews and called ahead on a Thursday to see if she had any openings. Typically with my old Fraser Street joint I was fine doing walk-ins, but Ranjeeta sounded pretty popular. Indeed, the guy who answered the phone said she was booked on Friday and Saturday and wouldn't be available til Monday! I held off until next week and called again the following Wednesday and was able to get in on Thursday after work. I ended up running a few minutes late for my appointment but it was no problem. The salon isn't fancy at all in terms of ambiance, but I was just there for my eyebrows and I just wanted to get in and out. Ranjeeta was great. She took her time threading my brows and also trimmed them with baby scissors. I've been to places where the techs sometimes rush through their job, and I've ended up with cut skin on more than one occasion. All in all she was very pleasant to deal with and I was satisfied with the end look. The threading ended up costing $5.25 after tax, but for the price and service I was happy. I probably wouldn't come here for other salon services (nails, waxing) but I will definitely be coming back for my brows in the future.Tip: Credit cards accepted for services over $10 Read Less

I almost don't want to write a great review for this place because I'm worried it will become too busy and I'll have trouble getting an appointment in future. Ha ha. Not really. Ok maybe I'm only half-joking. In all seriousness, this place has really great prices and the services are done well. I have had a couple of disappointing experiences here, but overall they're quite good. I've only tried their nail services (manicure & pedicure) and waxing services so I can't comment on the brow threading. I usually get shellac polish now as there is no waiting time before you can put your shoes on and minimal chance of ruining your manicure. Compared with a lot of other places in the area, Diva has very good prices and the staff are (mostly) all really good. Don't be afraid to speak up if you don't like the way your nails are being filed. EDITED: Changed star rating from 2 stars to 1--after the swelling died down, I've noticed that I'm actually missing a bunch of skin! Literally raw. No wonder I couldn't walk. Holy crap. AVOID at all costs. I almost wish I wasn't going to Vegas in the morning so I could go and demand my money back. -------------------I came in today to get an upper leg, eyebrow, brazilian, and back wax. I'd booked it in person yesterday, and I noticed that the man hadn't actually written down what I was coming in for next to my name yesterday. When I came in, I was able to go into the room almost immediately even though I was about 10 minutes early and there were two other ladies there for the time slot I'd booked (bonus, for me!). However, the woman waxing me thought that I'd *only* booked the upper leg wax and was rather surprised when I listed off the number of waxes I needed (much to my concern, because I'm off to Vegas tomorrow).She left, came back, and I guess everything seemed to be fine because she told me to lay down. At the place I normally go for waxes, they give you something to cover up depending on what you're waxing so you're not fully exposed. Nope, not at this place. Don't expect them to make you feel comfortable at all, either. She immediately told me to "take off my panties" (which I was rather surprised about, because normally they ask what I'd prefer to wax first and I tend to leave brazilian for last for a multitude of reasons). But I was like whatever. I didn't want to press my luck since I'd managed to squeeze in all of these wax sessions into one upper leg slot.The main reason for these 2 stars is that she let me text on my phone and read while getting the wax done. The other place I go to tends to tell me to stop and they're chattier, which is fine, but sometimes I'm not in a chatty mood and I'd rather not be "forced" to chat. So off she goes with the brazilian. The actual procedure wasn't as painful, which I was rather surprised by because she was doing an extremely sloppy job and didn't wax against the hairline but was just going from left to right, if that makes sense. (TRIGGER WARNING AHEAD!) This resulted in really short stubbly hair in certain areas because she didn't wax it properly. She also missed a patch on the bikini line. AND (EVEN BIGGER TRIGGER WARNING) there's swelling like no tomorrow--which has never, EVER happened. Not even with my first brazilian. Imagine having to waddle all day. Yes, that's me today.I can't comment on my back, because I can't see it. My upper legs are the same deal with the brazilian. She waxed in every which way and there are random stubbly hairs left (in addition to a buttload of wax residue--some parts of my leg are just entirely green with wax). Eyebrows were hastily done because someone knocked on the door and she said "two minutes". Didn't ask me how I wanted them shaped and basically just "cleaned" them and didn't shape them at all. Didn't ask me if I was happy with it or anything like that. Just said that she was done and basically shooed me out of there. Not impressed and NEVER going back here. Not really sure what all the good reviews are all about--I guess I made a mistake with not getting Ranjeeta (though maybe I did--I wouldn't know, she never said a word other than to tell me to flip over or hold something). After living in New york, I visit Port Moody once a year.I find it absurd that almost everywhere in Vancouvercharges over 20 dollars for eyebrowswhere in NYC I wouldn't pay more than 5 dollars. I found this place accidentally and was pleasantly surprised at their prices.My eyebrow threading came out okay, not perfect but just enough to last me another month. This review in specific is for the eyebrow tinting.They were done extremely fast and extremely uneven.The tint only ended up staying in for 2 days before it had completely faded(which in this case was good).Definitely not going back. I stumbled upon Diva while researching for mani-pedi places in Burnaby. If you go to their website, it portrays a very relaxing, calm ambience. When you go to the actual site, be warned, it isn't. However, if you are looking for a good, solid mani-pedi at an affordable price without the extra frills, then this is the place for you. I arrived on a Thursday afternoon, and the place was already packed. Word of advice: book an appointment if you plan on getting any service done here. They are not understaffed, but this place is so freakin' popular during the summertime, expect a wait (20-30mins) if you are a walk-in. Manis are $15, Pedis $25, and combined is $35 for a "spa manicure and pedicure"", which means a full manicure and pedicure with salt scrubs and massage chairs. Shellac is slightly higher (I forgot how much). The environment of the site itself is clean, though a bit cluttered. Read Less
