My friend and I went there and usually JJ's does an amazing job, although this time that wasn't the case. My friend got her cuticles cut multiple times and the nail technician never apologized. My friend also had nail glue all over her nails and all fingernails weren't the same length. My nails turned out to be okay, but after a week and a half the gel nails started to chip and my nail technician left the bottom of my nails (underneath) a mess. For the past year I've been getting gel polish on my natural nails. I had been going to another nail salon for a long time but being a girl that tries save money I thought I'd try this place out because their shellac manicures are only $20 bucks! I wanted to try JJ's because I heard great things. So I booked my appointment and when I came in she sat me down and started to wrap my nails with a cotton pad in acetone. She did not wait nearly long enough because when she took them off she took the mail to and was scraping at my fingernails trying to get it off very aggressively. And whatever didn't come off she took her electric bit file and filed it off. Which I've never had before for shellac, are usually just filed a surface shine off. They had a large selection of really cute colors and after about 20 minutes she was done. Some of the gel polish was on my cuticle and by the fourth day it was already lifting but I thought it I'll go back and give it a try maybe I had a bad experience. I went back in exactly one week later and had her take it off and it was the same thing she was scraping at the shellac didn't wait long enough for the acetone to soak in and use the drill bit file plus another file and the gel came off within a few days! Now my nails are paper thin if I put any pressure on them they hurt and are so sore. I got my nails done less than a week ago and I am not impressed. I was excited to try this place as my coworkers say it's the best in abbotsford. My acrylic nails are super thick, crooked and look grown out already as she did not apply them close to my cuticles. After being at the salon for over an hour I didn't want to complain as I was starving and just wanted to go home. Once I got home I had to file my nails to look some what straight and nice! I came here for the first time 3 days ago and was just appalled by how shotty the work is. I got gel nails and about 2 minutes into the process my thumb cuticles started to bleed badly so much so that she had to put an alcohol on it to stop them. The nail tech then proceeded to do that with 3 more fingers and was so rough with the cuts afterward that I was cringing most of the time. She didn't speak English very well at all and so both of us had trouble communicating to each ...other. She didn't know what I was trying to tell her I wanted and that I wasn't happy with the outcome the first time. The polish was so streaky that I actually had a stranger come up to me and tell me that my brand new set of nails was so ugly I should demand my money back. After I left here, my cuticles continued to bleed for almost two hours! (And still get caught very easily and ripped open because there is a very noticeable chunk taken out) I went back the next day to ask for them to fix it and the receptionist apologized, made another appointment (which had to be with the same girl, even though I asked for a different one), and assured me everything would be taken care of and that the nail tech would be watched this time. I came back the next day to finally get them fixed. No one monitored the nail tech, she butchered my thumb cuticles again and she tried to make me pay for the repairs. All in all I'm so angry with this salon and it's lack of professionalism. If I wanted my nails to look streaky and gross I would've just done it at home, at least then they wouldn't be scabbed and bleeding. I will never be going back and I definitely do not recommend! I have gone to jjs many times and am usually very happy with how my nails turn out and think the ladies are so friendly! I was pretty bummed with my experience this time tho....I got a mani and pedi which cost me over $60 and the next morning my finger nails were already chipping away. When I called I was told they can't guarantee it lasting once I walk out...which I get but I could of spent $10 at home and got the same outcome. I asked if they would let me pay the difference for gel nails but the manager said no they can't do that. He said they could fix the polish but since it didn't even last 24 hours I didn't want to waste my time going back for the same thing. Read Less

I have been here multiple times for both shellac and gel nails. I am by no means hard on my nails but both sets fell off within a week. I went in wanting only a shellac colour change done on my hands and toes and they charged me double the amount of the previous time I had been in for the same service. When I questioned why it was so much, the receptionist argued with me claiming I asked for something completely different. Definitely will not be going back.Read Less

I've been to many nail salons and this one is the cleanest and nicest for pedicures they don't reuse there buffers or files and they have liners for there pedicure chairs I was really impressed and all the products they use are natural products and they do a really good job and take the time to massage! I'd like to first say that all the girls that work here are amazing and have always done a great time every time I've come in. That being said, I got a pedicure today and the color I chose didn't set right with the light and looked melted. The wonderful girl tried to fix it 3 times but it still turned out melted looking. After being there for an hour and 45 minutes I went to pay and told the "manager" he should take that color out of circulation because the girl said this ha...s happened before with that color. He offered to fix it, but I didn't exactly want to try the 4th time and be their for another half an hour. He didn't offer me a discount or any type of apology. He said it's not his duty to do that type of thing and as a customer I should have to ask for a discount. Absolutely terrible management and no care for his customers at all.
